For the name that this property has you would think it would be in very good shape. Very misleading. The pool has tiles literally falling into it, and the water was about 87 degrees. The “beach” is what we had gone to enjoy but it is really not a beach to swim at unless you crawl over the huge rocks and coral. If you make across all of that make sure that you watch out for the broken glass bottles in the sand. What kind of resort serves glass bottles at the beach bar?

Terribly disappointed about this expensive stay. Elevator did not work. Valet parking was mandatory and expensive.

A disappointment. And so expensive for what you get. Our check-in time was supposed to be 4:00, we arrived at 3:00. Told it might be only a 35 minute wait and they would call us. No call. We went for a walk and came back by 5:10. As we checked in, I mentioned no one called us and was told it must have been an oversight, or someone misdialed perhaps. Fair enough, except when we got to our room, housekeeping was just finished and still outside the door. So we got no call because the room was only just ready at 5:10. The room itself was bare bones. Same tiled floor as the hallways and courtyards. This has the added benefit of allowing you to hear every heeled step from your neighbour above. A small bathroom you couldn’t swing a cat in, with a moldy ceiling in the shower - a nice touch. The only towel bar is a small one in the shower stall itself. The only window in the room is dirty on the exterior and impossible to take a picture through. The room looks and feels like a Day’s End airport hotel room, not a $600 a night Waldorf Astoria. The safe had been left locked by the previous guest. We tried to call someone but no one answered the phones for 10 minutes. Think that was a one off as other times we were able to reach the hotel operator. The exterior walkway to the main hotel lobby and restaurant is like the underbelly part of the hotel which should not be seen. It’s the rooftops of other buildings. There’s nothing pretty about it, again makes you feel like your staying at

The location and layout are nice. The buffet is terrible and the room has damage on most of the baseboards.

The quality of the hotel was poor. This is not a Waldorf Astoria quality hotel, more like a country inn suites. The rooms were dirty, we checked in and the rooms hadn’t been cleaned or the beds even changed! The AC was on full blast the whole time, couldn’t be turned down. The place is severely dated and in desperate need of a renovation.

Room wasn't cleaned regularly. At 4pm we had to call to get them to come. When they did clean, they would leave room service trays and not refresh towels.

Beach area is gorgeous. Everything except the Lobby needs to be freshened up. The rooms are a little tired and shabby. (Especially at this price) If the weather cooperates and you can stay at the beach the whole time it may be worth the price to you. Unless the beach is all you care about there are many other better options in Key West.

Everything was top notch at the resort. The only negative was during a wedding reception the music was so loud that we had to turn our tv up loud and we were on the 3rd floor.

The staff was nice. But that was it. We have stayed there 6 times and this was the worst. They put us over in the west wing. The hallway was so dark I was afraid of being mugged. No overhead lights. We had cockroaches in room. Had an espresso machine but only decaf. Was told that was all they had. Ice machine on floor went out. Elevator near ice machine went out. So either I walk forever to another elevator or do steps. Phone in room, room service button in room did not work. When calling front desk to transfer me, if they were busy checking in or out they would not answer. When ordering coffee or ice for room they said 20 minutes. Hour later nothing. Can’t sit in room waiting. They had all day to clean room. They never came until 5 when we are trying to get ready for dinner. Was suppose to get 2 waters a day. Never left any. They took the 2 dirty glasses and never left fresh ones. Called room service, never delivered. That wing should never have been rented at full rate. I paid 518.00 a night for that. It has so gone downhill. I feel they halfway opened that west wing for money when it was not ready. Workers were there all the time painting, do electrical. We even asked to upgrade. I feel management was out for money not service. There is not 3 restaurants. You can go outside and sit at bar and order a meal at the bar you order from during the day at the pool. Open place to order beside it. No restaurant

The beach was not accessible due to the amount of coral and rocks that cut your feet. The rocks were full of algae making it dangerous to even try to get in the sea water. The rooms were very disappointing. The food was terrible and extremely overpriced. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

I have stayed her twice. I love the convenience to anything you want to do un Key West.

Beautiful location in Key West. Employees were excellent... friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Bed was super comfortable and room was clean with a nice view! Negatives...the inside of the swimming pool was a little moldy/dirty and needed a good cleaning. The buffet breakfast was horrible and overpriced and the floor of the inside dining area at breakfast was dirty and littered with food, napkins and crumbs. Need more employees to keep the dining room clean during breakfast and brunch.

Dirty rooms Maid wouldn’t even show up to clean Left room with no TP Expensive Rude

Liked pool and beach. Toom service issue support was slow

I’ve never written a bad review about a hotel because I have never had a reason to do so. Our room was cleaned one day out of 5 that we stayed. We received an apology at the end of our stay and that was it. Apparently it happens often. The pool is nice and even better when the staff who works by it doesn’t ignore helping the guests with towels and chairs. The first day we were there, the man and lady working by the pool were fantastic. The other three days we went to the pool, nobody helped. All in all, you pay an extra $49 per day in hotel fees on top of the regular price you paid to stay there, and you may end up getting your own towels for your room and the pool. We will rent a house next time we visit Key West.

Thank you for your feedback Yalonda, while it is true that a section of our beach is on soft coral, we regret that you were not advised of the direct walk in area on the south section of the beach by the Water activities and spa cabanas. We will emphasize with our team to make sure that guests are better informed.

Thank you taking time to provide this rating and feedback. We do apologize that the happy couple and their friends and family may have been a bit more exuberant than most couples. It was not a traditional wedding. It was a surprise. Guests thought they were coming for an engagement party which then became a surprise wedding which then turned into fireworks and a gender reveal for the happy couple. So we can see how the excitement and energy grew throughout the evening. And we appreciate your understanding and do sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.
