You stay here for the beach. Thats it. Front desk girl was rude when i asked for change for $100 to tip maids etc. She came back with a fist of 20s when i said can i switch one out for 5s she huffed and said its the weekend and the cange is closed and they are fully booked so no she didnt have change. I dont even know what that means?😂 i went to the gift shop and then the cafe and rounded up change for myself. Coffee in your room is a delicatessen. I asked for a coffre maker instead of the espresso maker that was supplied. We got one with several decaf packets. I asked for regular Nd got 1 packet. WHen i asked for more i was given a huge filter and a bag of coffee to make several cups. Fine, but it clearly wasnt meant for the machine. The filter didnt fit and so it sagged down and ended up with grounds in the coffee. I left a not for

No gym on site no American coffee available very expensive a lot of additional fees. I would never recommend I had to call for room service. No hooks in the room to hang towels or bathing suits I felt closed in the room very small no view

First stayed at this property 40 years ago when it was the spot to stay in Key West. Has not aged well. Lots of deferred maintenance that is beyond character and charm. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, but there really seemed to be a lack of amenities that you would expect from a Waldorf Astoria. Room we had had a view of the HVAC unit and street. Entire property smells musty in the hallways and the rooms, which is a condition of an old building, but certainly the entire building could use some very basic cleaning and cosmetic facelifts. The beach area is very scenic and private and the pools are nice, though the pool side service was virtually non-existent to get a drink. Overall still a very nice property, but seemingly with very little cost there could be some improvements

I didnt get room service at all but i do got charged twice for the $45 daily hotel fees, orbitz charged me and also the hotel. So its a scam. Also orbitz doeant disclose that the parking is $ 37 per night. Be aware of the prices before you go there. Rooms are not big or spacious. More like a regular motel room with nice bed sheets. That is all. My room with ocean view and balcony didnt have a gutter for the rain. So if rains on the top floor you are going to get wet if you use the balcony, no microwave in room. Only a coffee maker, a mini fridge. A safe. Nothing that make you feel you are paying to stay in a Waldorf Astoria resort. Not for the highest price the charge per night. Plus all the hidden fees. Very beautiful but... Dont recommend this hotel.

Very good customer service... delightful experience...good location.

Just an absolutely beautiful hotel/resort. The staff, all that we encountered, were polite and friendly.

Our overall experience was good however, there were a few issues that took a until the last day we were there to resolve and the property needs a makeover. The resort is really nice but there are a lot of cosmetic upgrades that need to be done and the room had an old musty smell. As much as it costs to stay there and In order to maintain the Waldorf Astoria brand, there were too many instances where I noticed the imperfections. Like I said, it didn’t ruin our experience but the hotel needs a renovation to maintain the Waldorf Astoria brand.

We got married there 8 years ago and the property and staff were amazing. Fast forward to 2020 and the property is dilapidated, and the staff is FAR from what a supposed 4-5 star resort should be. The pool filtration is ether not working or nobody bothers to skim, all kinds of disgusting things floating that arent being filtered. Sad to see this once grand lady fall on such hard times.

Very beautiful resort and friendly staff. Pool was very nice! Beach was ok but very rocky and hard to get into water. Food was great at the Sun sun restaurant but a little over priced. Our room was nice and clean but could use an update. Overall very happy with our stay and would recommend!

For the name that this property has you would think it would be in very good shape. Very misleading. The pool has tiles literally falling into it, and the water was about 87 degrees. The “beach” is what we had gone to enjoy but it is really not a beach to swim at unless you crawl over the huge rocks and coral. If you make across all of that make sure that you watch out for the broken glass bottles in the sand. What kind of resort serves glass bottles at the beach bar?

Terribly disappointed about this expensive stay. Elevator did not work. Valet parking was mandatory and expensive.

A disappointment. And so expensive for what you get. Our check-in time was supposed to be 4:00, we arrived at 3:00. Told it might be only a 35 minute wait and they would call us. No call. We went for a walk and came back by 5:10. As we checked in, I mentioned no one called us and was told it must have been an oversight, or someone misdialed perhaps. Fair enough, except when we got to our room, housekeeping was just finished and still outside the door. So we got no call because the room was only just ready at 5:10. The room itself was bare bones. Same tiled floor as the hallways and courtyards. This has the added benefit of allowing you to hear every heeled step from your neighbour above. A small bathroom you couldn’t swing a cat in, with a moldy ceiling in the shower - a nice touch. The only towel bar is a small one in the shower stall itself. The only window in the room is dirty on the exterior and impossible to take a picture through. The room looks and feels like a Day’s End airport hotel room, not a $600 a night Waldorf Astoria. The safe had been left locked by the previous guest. We tried to call someone but no one answered the phones for 10 minutes. Think that was a one off as other times we were able to reach the hotel operator. The exterior walkway to the main hotel lobby and restaurant is like the underbelly part of the hotel which should not be seen. It’s the rooftops of other buildings. There’s nothing pretty about it, again makes you feel like your staying at

The location and layout are nice. The buffet is terrible and the room has damage on most of the baseboards.

The quality of the hotel was poor. This is not a Waldorf Astoria quality hotel, more like a country inn suites. The rooms were dirty, we checked in and the rooms hadn’t been cleaned or the beds even changed! The AC was on full blast the whole time, couldn’t be turned down. The place is severely dated and in desperate need of a renovation.

Room wasn't cleaned regularly. At 4pm we had to call to get them to come. When they did clean, they would leave room service trays and not refresh towels.

Beach area is gorgeous. Everything except the Lobby needs to be freshened up. The rooms are a little tired and shabby. (Especially at this price) If the weather cooperates and you can stay at the beach the whole time it may be worth the price to you. Unless the beach is all you care about there are many other better options in Key West.
