We were lied to by the woman who claimed to be the Front End Manager who told us that she spoke to Orbitz for us on a double booking and that we would be reimbursed. We spoke to Orbitz and they said it was not true. We confronted the woman named "Katie an older woman" who said she spoke to Orbitz but the two folks that she spoke with would not provide her with their name. She said that this is a common thread of employees of Orbitz. We spoke with Management at Orbitz who gave us a voucher of our next booking. This was NOT a reimbursement like the woman told us we would get. The tired old Queen who worked the front desk with her was rude, arrogant and totally unprofessional. I watch him encounter with anther coustomer and he was extremely Catty. I would advise who ever owns this place to replace these two before they loose their buisness.

The staff is rude and they lie about business transactions

Newly renovated, beautifully appointed, great location, phenomenal breakfast, and the staff bent over backwards!

The Fairview is a nearly new building in a very walkable location in Killarney, close to all the pubs and shops as well as the train station. The hotel could use better signage, as we passed right by it without seeing the word "Faiview" on the small sign in front. Ann was perfectly lovely when we checked in, and was very helpful with restaurant recommendations. The lack of ventilation systems in the room seems typical of most rooms in Ireland, so be aware of this if you are in a location with a lot of street noise (like this) and need to open the windows. Overall, a very nice place with great decor, art, and furnishings throughout.

Read reviews about how helpful the staff was. They've got a great man behind the bar. Thanks Phil! But at same time staff behind the counter, while acceptable, were a bit dismissive.

The hotel room was clean and beautiful. The breakfast was amazing.

Staff were very helpful and efficient. Rooms were spotless and serviced by friendly staff. Breakfast was also nice and offered menu items in addition to continental options. The crepes were delicious. The hotel is in a great location - easy walk to city center, train station and local attractions. Wifi could be stronger in the rooms, but worked well in public areas.

super friendly and helpful staff. wonderful hotel would absolutely stay again

Mediocre breakfast in an overcrowded breakfast room. The fake flowers add nothing to the décor.

Nicely appointed hotel. Clean, updated room. Excellent breakfast. I felt the staff could have been more helpful with questions regarding activities, hiking trails but the front desk staff member also had to help serve breakfast and thus was probably pressed for time.

Incredible location, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very nice! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area - fantastic bargain! And breakfast included!

Wonderful staff and huge breakfast with really good food.

Everything was clean and modern. The mattress sagged and I resolved this by turning it over myself. Most of the moderately priced accomodations we had in Ireland were not well insulated against sound and so when your neighbor decides to flush a toilet or have a conversation it is clearly transmitted through the wall.

Great location at the centre of Killarney. Welcoming sand friendly staff. Plenty of places nearby for a nice dinner or just to grab a pint! Would recommend!
