Over all decent stay. No decent restaurants within walking distance but the hotel food is decent; same menu as all the other HGI’s. Drinks overpriced as usual ($10 for a shot of TX whiskey) but that is something I expect. Property is a older than some but decently maintained. My room had dirt stains on the wall. Night audit didn’t check my ID at check in so I would have security concerns re booking at this property. If they don’t check IDs for check in I can’t imagine they check id’s for lost keys or pay enough attention to detail during the check in process to give me conifidence that someone else is going to walk in my room unannounced. The bed was decent but nothing special.
Very loud and the bed needed to be replaced. Wouldn’t stay there again. After staying in bunk houses for weeks this was suppose to be a peaceful overnight. Complete waste of money. I should have stayed elseware
After driving long hours, all I wanted was to check-in and hit the bed. But when I got there and got my key to my assigned room, it smelled like mold (Although the bed, broadsheets, bathroom, and floors were clean...(not the carpet area)) there was a smell of an old humid & foggy room. I complained about it, but the clerk said they were all booked, so he couldn't move me to a better room. The following day, my wife ended up going to the emergency room due to an asthma attack. I don't think I'll be staying there in a very, very long time.
The staff could care less. They were obviously to busy to give us any time of day. They must have had to get back to their smartphones or something. My room was on the 1st floor and noisy. No cream for coffee and an overpriced breakfast bar. There was even a fire out front in the smokers pit and the front desk was slow to respond even though it was filling the lobby up with smoke.
I can't say enough about the great quality staff and FOOD at this facility. The rooms are spotless and the facilities are very nice. The Katy Mall is nearby...however you can't walk there easily due to traffic. The hotel was generous with shuttle service.
Breakfast is a joke. Don't purchase here. There is a Denny's around the corner. The breakfast here is no more than cold cereal, old fruit, powder eggs. Paid $8.95 each which 40% off (original $14.94 which is the biggest joke I can think of) what they said was a fresh cooked breakfast with made to order omelets. No omelets, just basically the same continental breakfast we receive free at most other hotels. Bottled water (which is supposed to be free for Honors members) cost $2.00 a bottle and a tiny bag of Cheetos was $1.50. In addition, don;t stay on ground floor unless you like to here everything. Walls are either paper thin or people very disrespectful of people sleeping at 11 PM.
GREAT hotel, with a super staff. Centrally located to shopping and restaurants. Not the cheapest hotel in the area, but not over the top experience, but... you get what you pay for. Did I mention the staff...every one of them... was very courteous and professional. Breakfast in the hotel was great!! Super breakfast staff also!!!
Our family stayed the weekend here. All good, no complaints. Breakfast isn't worth $14.95, but it's good with a free coupon. We would stay there again. Very friendly, accommodating, helpful staff. We really liked the top floor.
The staff was very helpful and our room was very well kept. We enjoyed our staff at your hotel and would visit a HIlton Garden Inn again in the future. The breakfast was very good, and we enjoyed all the meals we had there.
Great service. Extremely clean hotel. Yummy breakfast. Decent price. Great location with shopping and dining within walking distance. Little to no traffic congestion. Lots of parking. Very friendly and accommodating staff throughout my stay.
