Beside that the hotel has 5star quality, it has a delicious kitchen, good service, hearthly welcome and superb friendly staff. I would like to give special thanks for the birthday surprise to Manish Basnet, Ashmita Tamang, Anjali, Kanchan and Aakriti they made our day unforgettable. And a special thanks to Madan & Purna for welcoming us at the gate and keeping us safe.

Great location, great staff, healthy food. The staff particularly the reception and particularly Mahesh Shrestha were very helpful and friendly. Nice gardens close to stupa. Very reasonable and well located

It is our second time staying in this hotel and we love it here. The staff is very friendly and the food is excellent. The location close to Boudhanath stupa is perfect. We give this hotel and it's staff our warmest recommandations.

Charming hotel at a quiet street. Nice and clean rooms, sunny garden, friendly and caring staff. Easy to get help from the ladies in the reception, Kanchan Lama and Sumina Lama. Nice breakfast and good cappuccino, restaurant staff, Mahesh and the others, giving you excellent service. Always a friendly guard greeting you at the gate. Stayed here recently for the fourth time and I will surely come back.

Feeling a bit mixed on this hotel. Had 5 days here as part of a Nepal tour. First impressions are of a nice hotel centrally placed to visit the Boudha area of Kathmandu including the stupa. Impressive reception. Pretty garden Small restaurant that only caters for a small number at breakfast so you may have to eat outside in the garden area if its busy. We ate in the hotel one evening for a snack - bit disappointing - half the deserts were not available and there was no Coke. Not sure if the explanation was lost in translation but I think I was told it was too late for Coke. Other members of our group ate in the hotel on a different night as it rained and weren't able to get out ( It really rained) and had a 2 1/2 hour wait for food. Perhaps if you are wanting to eat in the hotel you should consider booking so that they can get the staff in. Rooms were fine but small - we had an extra bed put into a double as there were three of us traveling so that made it quite tight. I did understand from someone later that there were larger rooms that were doubles, it might have made more sense to put the third bed in a larger room. Please note there is no lift. Someone else has reviewed that there is noise from outside the hotel. |We also found that, people noise and dogs. That is beyond the hotels control. You are in the middle of the city so it would be hard to avoid Staff were pleasant and helpful

Despite it being Diwali during our visit to the Hotel Harmika, the staff were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious although they did apologise for the lack of choice, due to the holiday period. The rooms were comfortable and clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay as a party of 12. They even looked after our baggage whilst we were away for a couple of nights!

We just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. It was the end of a 12 day vacation thru India and was the worst stay we had.So very disappointing to end this way.Our first night was spent in a room where we were up all night because of wild dogs howling. They did change our room the next night ...bigger room but still horrible . The rooms were so bare with no amenities. One teeny bar of soap, 2 small bottles of water in a country that you need to use bottled water for everything, that is unacceptable! The bathrooms not clean and they leave you 2 pair of prewarn dirty slippers to wear. They forgot to give us our wakeup call and we almost missed our Mt Everest flight. It took our guide 20 minutes to get security to open gate to let him in...no one there. The next morning they gave our wakeup call 1/2 hour early. Included breakfast was cold and still had Saran Wrap on bowls holding butter, jam etc. It was like staying in a youth hostel, which is not what we were looking for. Staff unaccomodating. Asked for extra pillows and towels and was told housekeeping was closed! No hot water on last day and had to go to another room to shower. I would definitely not recommend this hotel unless you are looking for youth hostel. Location was 5 minute walk to Stupa and beds were comfortable, and outdoor patio was lovely. Only good things

Stayed at this beautiful hotel for 2 nights. Rooms are very clean. Housekeeping takes excellent care about the details in the room. During my stay, I've observed that the hotel is constantly being cleaned; washing the restaurant floors, mopping the corridors, garden furniture being washed, car lot being swept/washed. Food is also very clean and delicious. I loved their thali and club sandwiches. Very friendly and helpful staff. The only thing that I did observed is that the staff was not fluent in English but they did managed to communicate without any concern or frustration. Location is a bit difficult in terms of reaching via automobile due to narrow streets but otherwise this is an excellent location for tourists. Literally 4 mins walk to the Budhanath Stupa. This is where I was spending my mornings. Absolutely repeatable.

Came with my family of 6( all adults). Service was excellent, staff were friendly and accommodating. Request made were all done to best of their abilities. Rooms were clean. Will definitely come back again A few mins walk from stupa. Note though that u have to walk pass a small alley that’s not lit at night. Ok if ur with group but don’t think it’s safe for solo/duo female traveller at night.

Our group of 21 (15 teens and 6 adults) spent almost two weeks at Hotel Harmika. The management and staff did whatever they could to ensure a delightful stay. Upon our request, they rearranged rooms, so that most of our group could be on the same floor. The breakfast buffet was great (and the staff even changed their menu when we asked for yogurt each day). Though we were out most days and evenings, on occasion, we enjoyed a dinner at the hotel. The Nepali Thali Set was delicious and servings were abundant. The momos were among the best in Nepal. Our group had approximately 20 large suitcases of donations to be distributed during our stay. The staff at the hotel was most gracious in allowing us to store and sort through the luggage in an area by the lobby. The hotel is spotless and safe. The location is ideal; as others mentioned, it is so close to the Stupa. Some rooms have a view of the Stupa. I would surely recommend Hotel Harmika if your budget allows.
