Beautiful view of city and hills from room. Cordial staff and very clean and modern ambiance with all modern features. Good food and appetizing breakfast. Very close to the French, British and American Embassy.
The hotel staff were kind and helpful, especially with accommodating mistakes in our booking. Our room was clean and bright. The location was also good, a moderately easy walking distance for 2 young children to the Thamel area (15 min at our pace). We would definitely come back to stay here.
The lift is not working mr sangrol and ms sujita didn't respond to my complain only replied with nice smile.the response is not good as well as behave.amenities absent and with low grade.not to try property
Good hotel in terms of location clean and friendly staff Facilities are less as no pool or bar, one draw back for amokers its a non smoking hotel rooms Breakfast options are good but room service closes at 930 like the city so if you a late eater get some stuff in room
A new hotel situated about a 10 minute walk to the district of Thamel with its narrow shop lined streets vibrant and bustling with life. The hotel offers great rooms of a good size with comfortable beds along with a good shower. There’s a great breakfast choice and a very good selection of meals and drinks to choose from if you decide to spend an evening in (like we did) from the lively street life. The staff are totally amazing and a credit to the hotel. Would highly recommend.
During my most recent stay at the Hotel Ambassador in Kathmandu, I had booked a standard room for three nights. I was happy to know that I had received a free upgrade to a junior suite. This maybe due to the slow monsoon season. The room was spacious and faultless. The check-in was speedy and efficient, as was the check-out. From the rooms you have a stunning view of Kathmandu city. I especially like the location as it's right in the centre of what is like a roundabout. The hotel restaurant, The Diplomat, takes their last order at 9.30PM and closes at 10PM, which I find a bit early. It might be because there are many restaurants nearby but having a late night option would be helpful. That's the only reason why I've given it a 4 and not a 5. The breakfast is nice and the menu options are good - you'll like the food there if you like Indian and continental options.

We booked Hotel Ambassador for 12 nights. Room was with Balcony and comes with double gazed sound proof windows. View was wonderful and we had a great time sitting in the balcony, looking over the city traffic and locals. Enjoyed our food & drink at hotel room balcony itself. Staff is wonderful & courteous. Service is quick. Food is delicious & upto the standard. WiFi is superfast and had no issues. Well done Team & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will be back soon again for our business trip & look forward for your hospitality. Keep the good work going!
I visited in this hotel couple of times and had privilege to enjoy their food. Last time it was a specific evening snacks and dinner with friend in the Diplomat restaurant. I loved the restaurant decor, ambiance and staff attentions towards guest. The food was simply great - loved the mushrooms duplex and achari chicken tikka. Must try.
Great service. Great food. Great rooms. Great hotel. My wife and I stayed at this hotel and totally enjoyed it. The staff were pleasant and helpful and professional. The food was delicious. The room was clean and the room cleaning service was spot on. The laundry service also helped a lot. Definitely staying there on our next holiday.
