Found this hotel as best value for money with options of entertainment and nightlife in close vicinity. All night clubs and massage parlours in neighboring areas at walking distance. Good professional staff and nice ambience of hotel. Good for family stay.

Very good. Enjoyed the stay without any issues. Food is excellent. Staff are nice and makes you feel special. Very convenient location. I would certain prefer to stay at the same locality in the future.

This is an excellent hotel with a very nice garden/pool area and good restaurants. The rooms are very nice, although some will find wear and tear it is excellent value by western standards. Just don't expect 5* rooms - more like good 4*. Good touches are biscuits/apple on arrival in the room and bottled water provided daily (useful for brushing teeth as well as re-hydrating). Good shampoo/shower gel and a big shower. The breakfast is a very nice buffet - with everything from noodles to curry and even baked beans. The two restaurants are also good - especially the buffet near the entrance. There were a couple of issues they could fix: mini-bar person knocking on the door around 9am, room service not waiting before opening the door to ask if everything is OK, phoning the room to discuss marketing, sitting next to you in the restaurant to "discuss the hotel"/marketing. A bit of staff training and the hotel would feel more professional. As I knew about the water shortages I left towels on the rail so they were not washed - but I suspect they are swapped anyway. A shopping tip is that there is a little street on the way out which has a good range of items at excellent prices. In summary this is easily 4.5/5 and an ideal place to stay in Kathmandu.

Very Good place and good stay , friendly staff and people. Lake view was good with swans and ducks and scenery was good. Food was good. The Indian food was slightly overcooked and could have been less cooked but overall was enjoyable

Pleasant hotel stay with helpful staff, the grounds are beautiful and feels like you're just surrounded by nature. The staff readily help out with plans and give recommendations. Plus hotel is tight in the middle of it all

I went to hotel yak and yeti with my friends and to my suprise it had more to offer than what I thought. As a local here I always knew this hotel and decided to stay for a weekend retreat. The hotel has an amazing garden with a lovely view. In the center of city a place like this is quiet a gem. The buffet was delicious and staff were very cooperative. Would definitely recommend!

Rooms were not updated and it was old washrooms. Bugs were crawling I have a video if you needed. Food quality was very poor I throw up after eating vegi sandwich. Araff and manager were nice but food n room update is must

We started our anger from the airport when we saw a hopeless service of pickup ....hotel sent local small accidented car and the we hire a taxi from our own pocket ....staff says we sent a car. Shameless staff on this activity.

We are from the US and have been frequent guests at the Yak & Yeti, formerly part of the King’s palace. We have stayed there for up to 3 months. The staff is fantastic which is key to a good experience. They have always taken excellent care of us and are very friendly. Many have become like family to us. And the rooms are wonderful ~ another important key! We always stay in a room with the old world Nepali charm (Heritage Room) that has the local woodworking and brick. The room is very cozy and has an upbeat feel. Ever forget what city you were in because the room looked like a thousand others you’ve been in? Not here - the rooms are wonderful and unique. Also, they have a lovely pool and walking garden out back. It’s very pleasant for walking and provides a peaceful view from the room. There are a lot of new hotels springing up in Kathmandu but we have yet to find one with a garden. This alone is worth it’s weight in gold! Keep up the great job Yak & Yeti!

The hotel is centrally located. Enjoyed my 3 weeks stay very much. The services received were first class. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. The hotel had direct airport shuttle. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
