We loved our final 2 night stay in Nepal at the Gokarna Forest Resort. The peace and serenity was so relaxing after 14 days of trekking and sightseeing. Our room was huge and very clean and comfortable and the service throughout the hotel was friendly and helpful. A fantastic place to stay.
My boys and I had a lovely relaxing time at Gorkana after doing an Everest Base Camp Trek. The rooms are lovely and clean (we stayed in a premier room). The food at both restaurants was grea, the staff are all lovely and very helpful. We found it to be quite good value for money.
Our stay at Gokarna Forest Resort certainly exceeded our expectations. It was a welcome source of peace and relaxation after a hectic day touring bustling Kathmandu. The golf course is stunning as is the grounds and forest - to see so much wildlife so close up and in a completely natural setting was an absolute privilege. The rooms were large and very comfortable and all the staff could not have been more courteous and helpful. All our meals were delicious - especially our farewell dinner in the Durbar restaurant where the manager and staff ensured a memorable last evening with the best food we had in Nepal. Thank you very much - we will return! Greg and Tracie
Cottages with interconnection .. Serene, isolated and lawn facing. Cart riding on the 18 hole Golf Course was out of this world. Sunrise and Sunset from the forests, walking through the dense forest, swimming in the temp controlled pool, quiet retreat, kids friendly, good momos, very friendly staff. Outstanding experience
Excellent facility . Very helpful staff. Value for money. Golf, swimming, bird watching, Gym, Sauna many more activities for family.Away from city chaos yet not far. We enjoyed and highly recommend the place. Dr.Suresh Chandra
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights after spending 9 days hiking to Annapurna with my brother. It was exactly what we needed. Luxurious hotel set on vast grounds with great scenery. Rooms are a fantastic size with big en suite. The spa is as good if not better than most 4/5* hotels in uk& europe and we had a very good massage at the spa. The staff were already extremely pleasant and helpful also particulary a manager at reception named Bandana. She was very dedicated to ensuring our stay was an enjoyable experience. A few minor down sides though- 1- the road from the city centre to the resort is in very bad condition, 2- at dinner my brother found 3 separate black hairs on his plate( staff were extremely apologetic) but still it is not ideal and last the spa was fantastic however the water fountain next to hot tub provides 2 plastic glasses for everyone to share water from- i felt this should be improved for basic hygiene reasons to disposable cups as this was poor for a 5* resort. However overall this hotel is much needed relaxation in a crazy busy city at reasonable cost. Strongly recommend
Good property. Improved service. Good food. Pathetic roads, not sure what the hotel can do about it, but it could lobby for improvement, surely they must be losing business because of it. Car park in open sky, so perhaps a complementary car wash could be provided.
We had an amazing stay.We stayed there for a night with my hubby & baby. The room was spacious, well furnished & included with all the amenties. All the staff members were friendly & co-operative. The resort is so peaceful which is inbetween of forest with full of greenary. We didn't have much time to roam around and do a proper use of services that were given to us. But looking forward to visit next time!
Me and my wife checked in on 10th sep, property is very good, staff is also very humble and cooperative. Although my first night was not really good, as the room provided to me was not good. It lacked some basic things, since as per resort staff there were no rooms available. I had to stay in that room for first night. But very next day "DIVAS" and BANDANA" helped me and changed my room. Both were very cooperative and helpful, apart from first night everything was perfect. I would strongly recommend this property.
Dear Ms. Bandana & Gokarna Forest Resort Team, It gives me immense pleasure to drop a few words to you to thank the whole team who took great care of us especially the Assistant Guest Relation Manager Ms. Bandana. She offered us a guided tour of the resort and the facilities which was just amazing! She was very professional. Not forgetting the lunch.. It was just perfect.. And cherry on the cake was the dessert which was magnificent! Unfortunately the time spent there was too short as we just came to know about your fabulous resort in the morning.. Hopefully, we'll make it a longer stay next we visit your beautiful Nepal. Till then, stay wonderful as you are.. Cheers. From Gulshan & Nitisha of Mauritius.
