Excellent in all respects except neighbouring properties. A trifle noisy because of late night business at a Doner Kebap joint and a Shisha Lounge, which also left the street littered.

Clean hotel room, nothing fancy, but good overall

I had a good stay, loved my very quiet and clean room and comfortable bed. This hotel is good for 1-2 nights stay. It is reasonably priced and for this price you get very basic and clean hotel room, clean linen, nothing fancy. My only major problem was that the Internet was not working, and I could not use my lap-top to do online work. I have read in other reviews on this same hotel that their Wi-Fi is either very slow or non existent. In my case it was the latter : ( The shower space is also very tight. I am slim and I did OK, but for folks who have a few extra pounds that would be a big problem.

Overall a good stay...

Good hotel very close to the downtown area. Room was confortable although the online description was not accurate, we booked a 3 person room which was featured as having one double and one sigle bed, when in fact the 3rd person slept on a pull out sofa. Breakfast had good options and was satisfying. Surprisingly there was no shampoo or hair conditioner in the room which had us search for a shop that is still open on Sat evening... Some noise in the evening from the club next door, no a problem if your room is not facing the street or if you close the window (it was a hot evening so we would have loved to be able to leave the window open). Free parking was included which was great, but you must be a good driver as the underground parking spots are narrow and on these metallic

We have booked triple room and they gave us double room. When we mentioned it to them they said: this is not their problem? no one was helpful. i has to sleep on the floor? The hotel wasn't clean and the photos in Expedia don't match the reality conditions of hotel at all.

great place to stay in central Karlsruhe

We booked this hotel for one night , It has a very convenient parking garage in the basement of the Hotel with access by lift to the reception. The Hotel was in a great location,the staff were friendly and helpful, The rooms are very clean, bright,spacious and nicely furnished,,quite and with super comfortable beds.In the morning breakfast is served in a lovely bright breakfas room looking into a garden. The breakfast is absolutely superb,with everything you can imagen on the buffy, tastebudds goes wild and diet goes down the drain.It equaled to any five star property and we were looked after by immaculate service..I would be hard pushed to find anything negative t say about this hotel,,,perhaps i would mention that the lobby aerea does'nt have the ambiance of a luxury hotel, but for the price you can hardly expect this...All the posetive aspects makes up for this by far ! ,This hotel was fantastic value for money,.. Highly recommend this hotel

Very nice stay

Hotel appears to be no frills when you walk in, but the rooms are very nice and spacious, with comfortable furniture and plenty of hot water (a welcome change from my stay elsewhere that week). Reasonable prices for local wines and mini-bar items, and a nice TV. I was pleasantly surprised by the breadth and quality of the breakfast offering, really excellent.

Good but uninspiring hotel

This hotel provided a perfectly good stay for a work trip. The rooms are clean and the breakfast had a very selection. The gentleman on reception who greeted us was not very cheerful and didn't exactly go out of this way to help us with our queries!

Friendly hotel close to the city centre

The hotel is very close to the centre of Karlsruhe, within easy walking distance of Kaiserstrasse, the main shopping street. Transport links are good, and it's possible to walk to the train station in 30 minutes - a very nice walk, as long as one is travelling without much luggage. The check-in process was smooth and friendly, and the room was quite spacious. There were all the basic facilities one would expect, and I had no problems connecting to or using the WiFi. My room also had a balcony which I would imagine would be very nice during the summer, but as I stayed in October I didn't use it.

Very well situated in the city. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Something to remember in Karlsruhl is that some restaurants don't take credit cards or US dollars. The hotel lent us money to eat on!

OK / disappointing

Hotel was clean but the decor was very dated. It looked much better in the pictures. It was located in a side street near the town centre which was just a short walk away, which was convenient but the immediate area didn't seem particularly nice: full of graffiti and chicken joints. The breakfast area was clean and the food was quite good. I wouldn't recommend the hotel but at the same time, it wasn't terrible.
