The staff was amazing and the location incredible however, the actual resort itself is a little outdated and could use with a few improvement the bathrooms. Would definitely go back and really appreciated the small refrigerator and microwave in the unit and loved the powerful AC.

The Hotel Coral Reef was exactly what I was hunting for. It was family owned and operated. Grandma made fresh banana bread almost every morning - on the day that she didn't she explained to my wife that the bananas weren't ripe enough. Alisha was on the desk most days. She always took the time to listen to an 80 year old guest and made recommendations accordingly. This will probably be our last trip to Kauai and the Hotel Coral Reef made it a wonderful experience.

Room was clean. Place is cozy and literally 50 paces to a great coastline multiuse path. Grab a bicycle, spend some time on the path and you won't be sorry.

Perfect getaway location

It was directly on to the beach with a beautiful pool as well, I had a patio leading out on to the beach front. They have all these extras for free, like borrowing a bike and local coffee to use with your coffeemaker in the room. Can easily walk to the town to get food, drinks or coffee. Absolutely beautiful.

Would stay again!

Although the room was dated, and a few repairs are needed, the wonderful staff made all the difference. We received a very warm welcome. Our room was ready early, and there was even some fresh delicious banana bread for us.

The view from the hotel patio was extraordinary. The hotel it self was not so great. Roaches in the room, had to be very careful not to leave luggage on the floor, hoping to keep the roaches out of our luggage. The beds were old and worn out. The rooms overall were dated and in need of repair. I was told you have to request house keeping, so I did. They never came. The pool was nice.
