Location is good to get to everything. Dislike: the pool was too cold. Restraunt too expensive

It is hard to find this balance of features for this price in Kauai—this is an excellent value. The property is not set back from the water but is instead right on a sandy beach, which is actually an uncommon find. The room is beautiful, clean, big, with nice finishings, huge granite counter space, nice appliances, subzero refrigerator, beautiful showers. The restaurant, while not affiliated with the hotel is nevertheless practically on the property and one of the top restaurants in the area. The pool is crystal clear and consists of 4 waterfalls, 2 water slides, and an enormous lazy river, as well as a family friendly hot tub, 2 adult hot tubs, and a sandy kids pool. The feel overall is rather low-key. This is not a flashy resort with high energy or tons of features. It isn’t super sophisticated romantic, not on the other hand are there tons of kids running around. But it is beautiful, and professional, and as such could be great for couples and families alike.

My husband and I stayed in C104 (2bedroom) with my 2 kids age 5,10 and my mom. Plenty of room! Great place.

The units are good size but not maintained well as we expected. Very good in general, but some things should be working for guests. Door knobs broken, safe not working, dusty rooms, AC on timer overnight we felt. The towels are tiny, I couldn't get it around my body. We had 1 alive cockroach that took 3 calls and personal visits to have someone remove it. The hallways are very humid in building D. Outside the room..the pool is great, very pretty and they clean areas every day. No tubing allowed in lazy river. You need to bring your own detergent for laundry. Appliances are modern. Dish soap and dishwasher soap provided. Room service is $75+ a night if your interested. Partial mountain looks over parking lot. Great location, across from grocery store, McDonald's, Ross, Starbucks, lots of things. Staff is nice, helpful. Area felt very safe. 2 minute walk to beach to view sunrise. Business center only open till 4p. 15 minute from airport. Centrally located on island. Overall good stay. I recommend this to people with families for sure despite lack of maintenance. Hotels also have similar maintenance issues... But these were minor.

We love this resort and have stayed there four times because the condo set up works perfectly for a family (great kitchen, multiple rooms, great pool, etc.) and its location provides great access to both the south and north sides of Kauai. However, this time there were several issues indicating the resort is beginning to show its age, both on the exterior and within our room. While generally beautiful, the exterior had several areas all over the resort where the plaster on the walls was falling off, and specifically right in front of our room, where pieces of the wall were all over the grass in front of our deck when we arrived, pieces that came from our balcony. As for inside the room, our bedroom door didn’t close because the frame was off, and the dresser in the other room was completely broken making it difficult for our kids to open and close it, while much of the other furniture is well past its prime. There were several other minor issues as well. I hesitate to say we will not return, but these issues definitely lessened our impression of this once fantastic resort, and they should be addressed.

We had a great overall experience. We loved the beautiful resort, especially it's sparkling pool area.

We stayed here with our older children. The room was perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed for meals. Pool and beach was nice. Beautiful sunrises. Convenient to the recreation trail and walking distance to shopping and Kapa’a for shops and dining. We loved the location and could easily go to the north shore or south without too long of a drive. Staff was very helpful and kind. We couldn’t have asked for a better week.

We statrted out in a ocean view room which was very nice but due to a techincality on Orbitz we had to move to a Garden view. The Garden view room B201 is a direct view of the noisy parking lot. Tranferring from room to room is going to cost us a total of $500 in cleaning fees.

The staff put us in the wrong room I don’t understand how they could make that mistake I reserved a room on the bottom floor and they put me on the third floor

First, I would certainly say that the location and pool area were fantastic. It truly is a beautiful property. I have traveled a lot and have never felt compelled to complain about beds until our first night in C101 at Waipouli Beach Resort. Staff were very accommodating and allowed us to move to a different room - C103. which did have slightly better beds. Manager explained to me that the resort is 10 years old and indicated that getting condo owners to update was challenging. Sadly, for a 4 star resort, rooms were just not kept up to par. One room's shower glass was opaque from soap scum, another had the TV wires hanging down from the wall. There was also dust blown out on the ceiling from the ac duct since the air filter has not been changed. Mold and mildew were on the curtains and pillows in both rooms were well past their prime. One of the plastic cups was broken. Several of the stove burners did not work. I might admittedly be nitpicking but if I can go to your average Hampton Inn and find everything working and kept up for less than half the price, I would have expected the same here. I would love to return to this hotel - after all, it was a great location with a lot of potential - but I would have to have reassurance from Outrigger that I got a well maintained property or would consider renting a condo through a different management company.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Waipouli Beach Resort and had an amazing time. All of us including the kids had fun time in the pool area. The hotel staff was really friendly and provided excellent customer service. I want to recognize and thank Sarah at the front desk and Jim in the security team for going above and beyond their duties to make our hotel stay memorable. The rooms were spot clean and the staff did a great job of keeping the resort clean as well. We would stay again at this resort for sure and the location is perfect as well. Very spacious rooms and I am really glad I went with the 2 bedroom option as plenty of space for kids and the whole family and didn't book a standard hotel room at another resort. The beach is also beautiful to sit down and relax. Some Seals also come and rest at the beach as well. Aloha!!

Conveniently located to shopping and groceries. However, our view was overlooking the Safeway and the busy street which meant we couldn't leave the lanai doors open to feel island breeze at night because the noise was too busy. Also, we could hear the gears of the elevator ANY time it moved... which is a lot. Eventually we got used to the sound, but it was a little off putting. The room was spacious and equipped with nice high end appliances. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The pool was nice. Parking access was easy and always available. Location is central to many popular spots on the island making it ideal for whatever your adventure holds in store.

Great place. Clean rooms, nice pool and Oasis is a fantastic restaurant.

Stayed in 2-bedroom ocean-view condo, H 203. Very friendly staff. Facility is old. The sofa-bed and the mattresses in both bedrooms are well beyond their useful life. Have hard time believing such a facility can command a premium price.

Beautiful rooms and perfect location. Good for honeymoon or family vacation. Staff very friendly

Everything was wonderful. Travelled with my family of 5 (children ages 14,12,7). Security guard, older man who was helping with the waterslide) was wonderful to my son with Autism. Only downside was dishwasher kept breaking down, otherwise everything was AMAZING!

Hotel location was perfect. Shopping centers and supermarkets were walking distance. Hotel staffers were very friendly, professional and promp to tend to our needs. The pool and spa was relaxing/awesome for the whole ohana! One slight drawback, the unit we stayed in, the AC keep shutting off when we were in the room. But, all in all, we had a great time.
