The staff were so friendly and helpful for the whole duration of my stay! The hostel itself is spacious, modern and clean. The common room is a good size for the guests to chill out. I liked the fact that the bunk beds had curtains as well for privacy. Excellent hostel.

K houses are always a good choice

The location is worth it alone .it's a short wm to pretty much anything . Feeling hungry? 15 minute walk and bam . The common room was great . Had enough tables to sit every one comfortably . The dorm beds are large for pods . I found the bedding to be nice. The auto lights how ever were frustrating . Anytime some one brushed their pods curtain the lights would turn on . Still good though pick it if you can

K house sets the standard for hostels

Kay's house is an exceptional hostel. It'll be tough to find one better. It all begins with the staff. They were first rate. I will always associate kanazawa with the wonderful manager, Kana. Very accommodating staff very good facility. I would highly recommend it to anyone willing to sleep in a mixed dorm. Each cubicle seems soundproof with adequate electricity and Lighting. Get a bunk at the end of the road and you'll get additional ventilation if that's what you like.

I had a really pleasant stay with clean rooms and friendly staff. The hotel is easy to locate and right near the river. The only thing it was missing was a towel (which you could get for an extra 100 yen).

Very nice, clean & new hostel

It was my first hostel experience, so I have nothing else to compare to, but my partner who stayed in many hostels before said this is probably the best hostel you can stay as far as hostels go. Very clean and very new. We stayed in the double bed dormitory room, which has 6 beds. When we stayed there, there was only one another couple, so it was very quiet. It was very comfortable to stay here. Also Anna, who was at the front desk, was very friendly, and we asked her lots of questions regarding the life in Kanazawa. It was the perfect person to talk to as we are looking for a place to settle in Japan.

Highly recommended. The bed spaces are very roomy and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and a perfect location. Its just a 5 min walk to the main shopping area and about a 30 min walk to Kanazawa station. Only complaint was that the wifi was a little weak at times, but that may have been my devices.
