The rooms appeared to have been recently Re-modeled, and the quality was great. The room was very clean and staff was great. I was just looking for basic accommodation and my expectations were exceeded!
Clean, renovated nicely.
Nice comfortable room
Orbitz never sent my reservation to the Hotel. So, they didn’t have a room for me. I ended up having to sleep in my car.
Communication to the property using the phone no mentioned is problematic. Also the info do not get passed down with shift change properly which causes inconvenience to guests
The room was very spacious and comfortable. The beadboard was broken. Otherwise, clean and beautiful. I got overcharged from what i was quoted but they took care of it at check out.
Our stay here was just what we needed. The only downside was that there was no coffeemaker in the room. Overall very happy. Would stay here again.
We had to get up early in Waimea so we decided to stay at the country inn, it was priced right. We were pleasantly surprised how nice and large the rooms were. We had a late check in and the staff set it up perfectly no problems. Towards the end of our trip we decided to just go back and stay there another two nights it was very convenient and in a nice location. I would recommend it not fancy but a good spot
I'd like to recommend this motel, and would, if they made some relatively inexpensive improvements. The first room they gave me was downstairs with a flat ceiling. As soon as I walked in the smell of mold was overpowering. I looked on the back side of the window coverings and they were covered in mold. I got out of there ASAP. I went to the desk and told them and they were able to give me another room upstairs. Much better with nice vaulted wood ceilings and a view of the mountains. The windows covering also had some evidence of mold on them as well as around the drywall surrounding the window. A musty or mold smell was not really noticeable but I saw it. First off, there should not be any mold period. I know its a rainy environment, but you have to control it! So I could recommend it if they, 1. Got rid of the mold. 2. New carpets, the ones they have are old and funky. 3. New window coverings 4. New bedspreads. On the plus side, the sheets and towels were clean, the furniture was ok, the tv was ok, the paint was fine. They were installing some new carpet in one the units downstairs. So I would stay in one of the upstairs rooms again, but I would have to be assured the room was fixed up. Hope they do it!
The bed spread had a funky smell and was stained. The sheets and towels had stains and looked worn. There was no microwave or coffee machine. The walls are paper thin so noisy neighbors are intrusive.
Plain rooms. Clean. Good price. All that I needed for my solo business trip for 1 nite. Not many other choices in the Kamuela area. Staff on phone was extremely nice. I'd stay there again for a business trip.
Great cowboy vibe tucked into Hawaii. Is it a dude ranch? Not quite, but the friendly staff was very helpful.
wireless didn't work the lady at the front desk had no password
Blessed with trip. Got to visit family as husband wanted, he has dementia. Had problem trying to get tv to work, because visiting not in room much didn't ask. Receptionist wonderful.
Friendly staff, big room... bathroom was needing a lot of upgrades.
Hotel is a bit old and showing its age. A couple was smoking outside, cooking food on a hibachi and drinking at the foot of the stairs as we rent to our room after checking in. Although the hotel was in a nice, family oriented neighborhood (there was a small farmers' market/craft fair a block from the hotel Saturday morning), the hotel had the appearance of a rundown Motel 6. Amenities were basic: small TV, coffee pot , one chair and two beds. I tried to lock the sliding window at night but was afraid the window frame would break if I pushed on it to secure the lock. Had I known the room didn't have a refrigerator, I likely wouldn't have stayed at the hotel. Room also didn't have AC but cool Waimea night made it comfortable to sleep. Biggest plus for the hotel was the beautiful mountain view.
This was an extremely dirty and uncomfortable room, the bed spreads were filthy, the carpet was dirty and had cigarette burns in it.The fabric on the two chairs was stained and dirty but it didn't really matter because they were excruciatingly uncomfortable. There was hair in the bath tub and on the floor of the bathroom. I would give this place no stars if it hadn't been for the cheerful staff and the coffee in the .morning. So,do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
The staff upon arrival and departure were very pleasant. The room was very hot upon arrival and no a/c. But it was a nice place to stay overnight and I would stay there again but maybe not in the summer. Recommend putting a/c units in.
We loved the location and the ease of parking. Not alot of trafic. Close to services. Central location for sights. Friendly staff.

Alohal, I apologize for responding so late. We are in the process of renovating our kitchenettes and will be somewhat fixing up the other units as well. Thank you for your comment as we are aware of the mold problem that is common in Waimea, but should not be common within the rooms. We will be sure to get this cleaned and resolved. Have a beautiful day!!
