Congratulations to the young couple who own this place (Katerina and Nikitas). After all these years , they managed to upgrade their services and stimulate our senses towards the well being. When staying to a room close by the seaside , you get the chance to enjoy the morning and evening breeze caused by the waves that come from the land of Neptune. This place is blessed by the good vibes released by the positive spirits of the owners who make sure that your sleep is laid over the best mattresses of the European Market. The breakfast variety along with the amazing quality of their restaurant (named Yamas, which means : cheers - to our health) accompanies your appetite for exquisite flavors and your midnight summer dreams for relaxing music . Enjoy this journey with the best of the best!
Staff was fantastic! Was there for a wedding and it was so nice to relax there. Pool area is great and the food was even better. I have say we will be back next year. you very close to town if you want to walk. And the famous mountain Castle was close by uber. worth the trip
We stayed with my family (2 kids) in March 2018. Overall the hotel is quite good - we were just frustrated by the service given it was a weekend that the hotel was full. (+) Beach in front (+) Playground for the kids (+) Restaurant (yiamas) (+) Good rates (+) Friendly staff (-) It was apparent that they could not cope with the demand when full. This was mainly problematic at breakfast that you could not even find a place to sit and the service was quite bad - they were all kind and supportive, but simply swamped. (-) Far from the town center
Very good hotel over all We had made arregements months before our arrival , we requested a double bad. Unfortunately we got two bads joint together. Not good practice for such a good hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great access to the beach, excellent breakfast. Enough parking, room was a good size.
Location: -convenient with easy access to the port (Panellinion) and downtown -public bus stops in front of hotel -taxi to downtown approximately 15 min and 5-10 Euros -across the street from the public beach accessible via underground tunnel Resort: -basic room decor -modern design with a small lobby with three sections of sectional couches and flat screen T.V.s -breakfast buffet typically included and guests can upgrade to include buffet lunch and/or dinner -access to public beach via underground tunnel -spa and beauty salon onsight in the basement -tour and excursion desk in lobby -complimentary guest and public parking onsite -complimentary WiFi Beach: -public beach -many locals visit and occupy hotel loungers with no preference afforded to hotel guests unless they pay per lounger in a preferred area -towel service on the beach by presenting hotel room number -food and beverage service on the beach -decent WiFi on the beach This is a beautiful hotel offering good rates that include breakfast, which guests can also upgrade to include a buffet lunch and/or dinner. My experience was that many locals from other parts of Greece frequent this hotel and area of Kalamata. The lobby can be a bit boisterous in the evenings with children free to enjoy. The buffets are bountiful and delicious. I loved making my own Greek coffee at the coffee station. Eating outside on the covered patio overlooking Messenian Bay was an experience I'll never forget. The rooms are basic in decor, they are clean. During my stay, I found the mattresses quite hard and pillows with little support. Bedding was spotless and daily cleaning superior. I recommend this hotel and will be staying there again in 2019.
I had a relaxing stay at Elite City Resort during my business trip to Kalamata. The location is perfect(by the sea) and the hotel is high class so its services.Price is good the staff is very friendly
I was there a month ago it's very bad hotel they used to put some old metals beds shorter than the my foot, and during my dinner there they asked me to ask about find the girl who is responsible of the cashier. I left and I went to horizon blue hotel, it was perfect.
I stayed for two nights. Half the rooms overlook the garden but I was lucky to have a lovely sea view, lulled to sleep by the sound of waves at night. The balcony was a bit small, just OK for one person but for a double occupancy you may wish to ask for a bigger balcony. I was on the first floor so during the day I could hear the people chatting in the cafe below, but this was muffled when I closed the French doors. My room had a double bed with the softest, fluffiest pillows I've ever enjoyed in a hotel. Excellent buffet breakfast, with some local delicacies. Meh coffee from a machine, if you want coffee made to order there is an extra charge. And why plastic teaspoons next to the coffee machines when the world is trying to phase out single-use plastics? No visible recycling bins anywhere, so I gave some spent batteries to the Reception but I'm not sure what happened to them. Large conference centre in a separate building, which is a good idea as it keeps their potential disruption separate from hotel guests. Huge grounds, ample parking. A tiny church, perhaps this is also a venue for weddings? If so the celebrations could get noisy. The main downside for people without a car is that it was quite a way out of town, probably not a comfortable walking distance for most, though there is a bus stop outside. The reception staff were very helpful, showed me on a map how to find a shop with locally made silk scarves, which had a little display in the lobby.
We were here 5 years ago and we loved it then and this year too. This time we were upgraded and got a room with a view over the ocean. Wonderful! Helpful staff, the closeness to the beach (just across the street), quiet location, the bus stop outside the hotel that easily took us to the center of Kalamata and the very nice breakfast makes this hotel a very good choice. Thank you for a great stay!
The kindness and family feeling extended by our hosts at the Kalamata Elite City Resort have left us with a lifetime of wonderful memories. The hard-working, attentive and cheerful staff only increased our fondness for this location. The hotel is close enough to town for a lovely walk along the sea, but far enough away for some peace and quiet. The restaurant is delightful with a an excellent and very creative chef. He was able to accommodate all of the myriad needs of our large group, down to the last, unrequested detail. That included adding fresh, minced ginger puree to the breakfast buffet when a few people came down with colds. We came as strangers and left 10 days later touched by the great Greek heart of Kalamata and the Elite City. Very special thanks to Georgara and Niko.
