Kimo's Getaway

This a very private duplex. Your host lives upstairs. Your's is a new two bedroom, one bath unit, with a full sized kitchen and adjoining dining area. . There is a large lanai viewing the ocean with plenty of relaxing chairs and an outside dining area.
You will be a 7 minute walk to Honl's beach and 22 minutes to downtown Kona.
Infants (persons two years and younger) are considered guests.
The vacation home features a kitchen and space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a coffee maker, and an ironing board.

We were welcomed by a Zen garden With an outside shower and hot tub. Our host was kind enough to show us around the garden and unit.The unit was ready for our arrival. Our host showed us the amenities and how everything worked. We were impressed he even had all the light switches labeled for easy use. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. from snorkel gear, boogie boards, chairs, plenty of linens, towels, comfortable beds and full stocked kitchen.Jim our host is very personable. He addressed our questions and any concerns promptly. He quickly become our friend.

The host was welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. The place was very lovely, comfortable, spacious and felt like home. If you want a fancy hotel, this is not that but it is not advertised or priced as such. Well stocked kitchen, nice dining table and big sofa and TV. We didn't use the hot tub as it was too warm outside, but we did use and enjoyed the outdoor shower. There is no AC, but except for the middle of the afternoon, we were fine without it- everything cooled off at night. I am not sure what it would be like in the summer, however- we were there in December. We liked the location, close to several beaches. Lovely Lanai seating area with dining table, lounge chairs and plenty of space to hang up wet clothing and towels. Neighborhood felt very safe. I would stay here again!

Our host was excellent and easy to get in touch with. He was also great at helping us decide what things to see and where to go. The apartment was lovely and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our two week stay. He provided off-street parking as well. The grounds around his house were fabulous and we loved sitting on the lanai and watching the Pacific Ocean. We also loved the hot-tub and the outdoor shower.

This is a beautiful place to stay. Exceptionally clean, well stocked, quiet neighborhood, and a very nice view from the lanai. But beware, there is no a/c. We missed that on the listing and the surprise was not pleasant. But the owner is great and the fans in the house helped us through.

We LOVED this property! This was our probably 10th time on the island and we’ve stay so many different places. We all agreed this was by far our favorite spot. So relaxing and convenient and Jim was the most excellent host ever! Can’t wait to return next year!

Wonderful getaway on the Big Island

We had a fantastic stay at Jim’s apartment on the Kona coast. The amenities of the property were as listed, and made for a very comfortable stay for our family of three adults staying on the Big Island. We especially enjoyed breakfast and coffee on the outdoor patio, and the spacious yard. Jim was a fantastic host, with great communication and was easily accessible as needed. I would recommend to any friends, and hope to be able to stay again.on a future visit to Hawaii!

Better than imagined

Jim was a beyond welcoming host- he met us after unloading our car and showed us all around the property. It’s well-stocked with beach gear and towels. The kitchen was fun to cook in and Jim had all of the necessary equipment on hand. The outdoor shower was a dream come true. My only regrets are not staying longer and forgetting to leave a six pack formUim :)
