From check-in to check- out this was a great experience. Simple, no hassles. Best place near the airport. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. The rooms have recently been renovated and are quite comfortable.

I stayed because of all the good reviews, but I have to say that I had problem after problem.. First of all druggies in and out of the hotel. I caught one looking in to my rental car. And when I contacted the front desk the girl acted like she didnt care.. She said "There's nothing that they can do to prevent them from getting in the hotel". So this has me concerned. Very rude front desk.. Room wasn't bad.. But price was out of control.

When I called this Super 8 to make a reservation, I found out they have BOTH ferry and airport shuttles. Since I was coming in on the ferry and out on Alaska Air, this was terrific. Staff were welcoming and eager to provide any assistance I needed. There was a 24 hour mini mart across the street and restaurants and fast food within walking distance.

The hotel and room were newly refurbished and looked nice. However, the bathroom had no exhaust fan so when some went to the bathroom, the smell permeated the room, even if the bathroom door was kept closed afterwords. I really wish the bathroom had an exhaust fan. The room was really hot when we walked in. I turned the heat off and couldn't find any type of air condition or fan. I know it's Alaska, but you have to have something to circulate the air or it gets stuffy and hot. We opened the window but the traffic was so liquid we couldn't sleep. We shut the window and had a horrible night sleep. Like I said, it was all nice, but the lack of a bathroom exhaust fan and some type of air conditioner/fan made the night unbearable.

While this is still a "budget" hotel, it has recently been updated and is in very good shape. The breakfast is pretty basic, but there's enough there to hold you over, including make-your-own waffles. One thing to note if you happen to be visiting during a (rare) heat wave: the rooms do not have A/C. They offer free pick-up/drop-off from the very close airport. Uber is available (as well as taxis) as well as bus service ($2) to downtown Juneau from a quick 10 minute walk to the Mall near this hotel. Not much right near the hotel to do, but as mentioned above, you can get to pretty much everything with the local bus service for only $2.

Yes Juneau Alaska was an amazing place to visit and motel 8 was a great place to stay very nice

Although there is a complimentary shuttle from the airport I decided to get some fresh air and walked from the terminal to the hotel. There was a sidewalk all the way, it was easy to find and took just 10 minutes. The lobby was welcoming as was the guy on the front desk. The room was very nice, recently refurbished with new furniture and decor. The bed was comfortable and the shower powerful. Breakfast was simple, but it was easy to fill myself up for the day ahead. I took the shuttle back to the airport, as it was raining, and the vehicle was new and clean. The staff were very friendly and the hotel felt almost new, with just a few finishing touches, of the refurbishment, left to complete. A great option near the airport.

good location close to airport. beds were hard. if you are fishing freezer storage is very minimal. breakfast is not very good. Does have Kerig in each room. staff friendly and housekeeping very good and clean

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. Very comfortable and good deal on the price. A little disappointed in the breakfast but for the price I think this hotel is the best deal in Juneau. Nice helpful and friendly staff, comfortable beds and nice location from the Airport.

My son and I stayed a long weekend in Juneau in July. I booked the last room in the last hotel in town and wasn't sure it would be good. But it was really good! The rooms have been recently remodeled and were clean and beautiful with nice pictures of local glacier scenes for the headboards. That was a nice touch. The bathroom was a bit stuffy after showers, but the window opens wide and the mild weather in Juneau was pleasant coming into our room. We were on the second floor, but the neighborhood, although close to the airport seemed very quiet and safe. The highway goes pat our room, but traffic noise was certainly not like anything in a larger city, even Anchorage is a lot worse. And it quieted down to nothing at night. There is a complementary breakfast bar every morning with a waffle griddle, boiled eggs, toast & bagels, oatmeal packets, cold cereal, yogurt, and all the coffe & tea one could possibly want. There is a small lobby with tables and chairs and couches and a fireplace where I ate breakfast every morning and got to visit with other travelers, and the hotel staff who ere professional, friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to handle our special requests. Lots of parking, also and conveniently located to rental car office, restaurants, and other services and attractions. GreT place.
