Super 8 Juneau

Right by the airport, and the hotel offers shuttle service, to/from the airport, as well as, to/from the ferry. If you have a really early/late flight, call to make sure their shuttle has a driver at that time, if not, they will help arrange for you to get a taxi. Honestly, this is just a hotel for me to sleep and shower on the night before/after my flight/ferry. I arrive, and fall asleep, wake, shower, and leave. The rooms are much nicer than I need, but pleasant. If you are staying for more than a night, consider upgrading to the suite. The new management is making this a much nicer place, so if you visited before, try it again.

This place has provided a temporary home for me, with cleanliness and comfort. Everything from the interior design, matching decor, makeup remover towelettes, comfortable bed, multiple pillows, caffe darte italia coffee roasters, and cable TV have made my stay amazing. The continental breakfast options are incredible. There is waffle batter and a waffle maker to make your own waffles. There is also a couple different types of cereals, yogurt, assorted danishes, and apples. Nevertheless, there is a laundry room with two washers and two dryers. It's only $1 for detergent and $1 for dryer sheets, $2 to wash a load, and $2 to dry. It's very clean and the staff is amazing. They are friendly and helpful and they care about any concerns that you have. By the way, you'll absolutely love the big picture of glacier icebergs in place of a headboard. It's the cherry on top of the whole experience.

The new management has made many positive upgrades in this old hotel and the place mostly looks great inside, but the location still feels sketchy. I've usually found the Super8 has the best rate for a quick, no-frill overnight. The elevator finally works after more than a year. Sadly, they are no longer pet friendly, so that eliminates most of my business. They should also ask on checkin if you actually want to pay the extra for use of the room safe, not charge it automatically.

As a long-time Southeast Alaska resident, I overnight in Juneau often for travels, medical, etc.. This motel formerly was at the low end of my preferred lodging; sullen staff, dirty, often noisy, smelled of smoke. Not any more! Under new management and totally renovated, it is shiny clean, peaceful and friendly. The rooms are cheerfully decorated and cozy. Not only that, they will go the extra mile for you....a recent reservation mixup (mistake on my part) was fixed cheerfully and with no penalty. Very reasonable rates to cap it off. Special shoutouts to Dora and owner/manager (Susan?) for graciously fixing my recent goofup on dates. Now my preferred lodging in Juneau!

Check rates upon arrival. My business partner and I booked the same type room at the same time. When he checked in- the rate at the desk was $100 less than that booked. He cancelled and rebooked on the spot. I was charged the higher rate.

Lacked microwave & fridge in rooms. Frist Super 8 I've stayed in across the country that did not have these. I've stayed in many Super 8's. Would of preferred to stay with the one king bed.

they accused us of smoking in the room we didn't if you smell like smoke they accuse you of it and kick you out.

We are former Juneauites that intended to be on the go from morning to night, so chose this hotel for its convenient location and price. We opted for the standard king room and stayed 6 nights. Our room appeared to have been recently updated; everything was clean and fresh and the bed was very comfortable. Every staff member was friendly and accommodating (thank you!). Breakfast was enough to get you going in the morning (hard-boiled eggs, nutrigrain bars, yogurt...) Parking was never a problem. McDs and the breeze-in are across the parking lot for snack attacks, etc. Location is quiet, clean and budget friendly. Will definitely stay here again!

Nice accomodating, family friendly hotel. All the staff is very friendly. I felt comfortable staying here. I recommend this hotel and will definately stay again in the future. Location is good for food, McDonalds and local favorite convience store.

It's not a luxury property, but it's clean and quiet. They offer pickup service from the Alaska State Ferry - few hotels do. Night staff is very friendly. They picked me up promptly when ferry arrived at 4am, and set me up with luggage storage, coffee and breakfast. Breakfast is adequate - ubiquitous waffle machine, yogurt, fruit, cereal, prepackaged danishes. If that's not to your liking, there's a 24 hour store across the street which sells fresh donuts and muffins. You can do a decent amount of sightseeing from there without a car. Public bus stop is about a 5 minute walk. Busses service downtown, Costco, glacier visitor center (long walk), salmon hatchery, and Alaska Brewing Company. Hotel is near the airport, good for early morning departures. I found location to be convenient, since most of the attractions I listed above are between the airport and downtown. I would definitely stay there again.
