Family friendly, accommodating, and nice upgrades to this hotel. I would recommend and come back, comfy beds and good amenities.
We stayed here for 2 nights! And it was great! They have a good vibe and energy here. The rooms were nice - cozy - the staff was kind and helpful - the breakfast was simple yet good and free ! They have fresh complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby at all times. The shuttle was on time and the driver was a nice guy. The location was great! W/24 hr market right across the street ! We’d def stay here again!
Stayed here for a few nights on a business trip! Great staff and rooms. I would definitely stay here again. The owners are great people. Love what they have done with the place. The appliances were like new and the bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed having the sitting area and the large refrigerator.
If you travel to or from Juneau, AK there is no airport shuttle during the winter season. You have to self pay for a taxi. Otherwise the hotel experience was excellent.
This was the 6th time in Juneau for state swim meet. We have always stayed at this location. Really enjoyed the updates and change to non-smoking as well as the addition of being able to request a microwave and refrigerator in our room. When we are attending travel meets these items are a must. Employees were all real friendly and helpful. Congratulations to the new owners/mangers, you guys have made positive changes. Keep up the good work.
This property is located near the Mendenhall Glacier, but too far to walk. There is a nearby bus stop behind Sportsman's Warehouse that will take you within a mile of the visitors center if you want the cheap way to go. There's a bike trail right behind the hotel also. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they have a van to carry you to town if you want.
Staff was so nice. Room was awesome. When I'm in Juneau Super 8 is the only motel I will stay with.
The staff here were extremely accommodating. My room was clean, and nice and warm. I will be staying here on my next trip to Juneau later in the winter!😀
What I liked: Staff was friendly and helpful. I arrived early and I was able to check in earlier than normal. Improvements that can be considered: Compared to other rooms I stay in across the US, the room was smaller than what I pay for in other locations. I had just spent four days in a remote town in AK I was charged 30.00 less per night for a similar size room. There is a free shuttle to the airport but not for the early flight to Seattle that left at 0515. I was informed the hotel shuttle started at 0600 leaving no time to make it to the airport in time. Recommendations: offer the availability of a shuttle for the first flight of the day. Offer the lower advertised room rate to your guests at check-in. I am seeing rooms in the lower $80.00 per night. I paid over $103.00 per night. Don't automatically charge for the room safe, ask if that's a option the guest would like.
Right by the airport, and the hotel offers shuttle service, to/from the airport, as well as, to/from the ferry. If you have a really early/late flight, call to make sure their shuttle has a driver at that time, if not, they will help arrange for you to get a taxi. Honestly, this is just a hotel for me to sleep and shower on the night before/after my flight/ferry. I arrive, and fall asleep, wake, shower, and leave. The rooms are much nicer than I need, but pleasant. If you are staying for more than a night, consider upgrading to the suite. The new management is making this a much nicer place, so if you visited before, try it again.
