Oh so many reasons to stay away from this property. We were guaranteed excellent internet connection. The internet went out twice. We had to leave early as not only my grandson was disappointed, but we could watch no TV at all. The owner refused to give us even a partial payment, despite the fact it mentions in the details to this house that "there is strong Wi- Fi, so you can watch movies or work." The host was dismissive and said it was our of her control, yet the provider offers the Wi-Fi customer a refund if the outage is prolonged. VRBO did refund me some of the money, Second, this property is too far from Julian and has very little outdoor living space. A bit of a drive to town, with no nearby walking trails. So you are rather captured here. The 2 decks were littered with leaves and debris and hadn't been cleaned for weeks. Next, the staircase leading to the majority of the bedrooms was steep and made me nervous for my safety as well as the safety of my 8 year old grandson. Also heating and cooling is a issue. There is no forced air, only a wall heater downstairs. Finally, the kitchen was only minimally equipped. There was no toaster oven, so you would have to use the main oven to heat pizza, but there were no cookie sheets so that was difficult. No kitchen foil, plastic wrap or baking paper. Bring your own salt and pepper, fresh oil and any condiments. No carrot scraper. Finally, the trash can cupboard was very grimy and in need of a good scrub. Won't be coming back.
