Stayed there Thanksgiving night while visiting our daughter and son-in-law in Donegal. The key reason for choosing this hotel, with the many choices available at this exit of the PA Turnpike, is that they were pet friendly and had a very reasonable pet charge of only $10. The hotel is situated right by the Turnpike exit (well, every hotel is!). This being Thanksgiving, we were one of only maybe 12 guests, so hotel was very quiet. Check in was very smooth. Staff was very pleasant and polite. Although the room a bit dated, was perfect for our needs, particularly with our dog. For those traveling with a pet and who need a place to stay in the area, highly recommended. Normally, because of somewhat dated room, would rate this a 3, but the pet friendliness adds a point. And also the staff that Thanksgiving evening and Friday morning.
The is a very nice Econolodge and we stayed at based on recommendation for former TA reviews. Good location, clean, good service & price. Breakfast was the normal toast, cereal, waffle ect. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
We stayed here for one night on the way to DC. The hotel is warm, clean, and functional. The beds were comfortable, and the staff was amazing, friendly, and helpful. The location is great. We will stay again next time we pass through.
This property is very convenient to the Penn Turnpike, but not so close as to hear any road noise. We were there on a very quiet, snowy/icy, night. We were in a two double-bed room, not large, but certainly adequate for a one-night stay. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. There was a good-sized desk and desk chair between the two beds. There was a refrig and microwave, and a small chest of drawers. Breakfast was very basic, but reasonable considering the price (low) of the room. There was a waffle maker and donuts. Otherwise, the very usual: cereals, breads, and juices. No "hot" food. The breakfast room (= lobby) is pretty small, just 4 tables and a couple of extra chairs.
Like many others, we spent 1 night in Somerset after visiting the flight 93 Memorial. The Econolodge was the perfect stop right next to the turnpike. The staff was very friendly, the room was large and clean; bed comfortable and good Wi-Fi. Breakfast room choices were just fine. A very good value for the price.
I stayed one night at the Econo Lodge. It is right off the PA Turnpike. I chose it for its closeness to the Flight 93 Memorial. It is inexpensive, and the room was clean. The beds were comfortable, and the room had a fridge and a microwave. The woman who checked me in was pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was the basics that you would expect from a cheaper hotel.
Overall I was very happy with my stay, good value for the price. My room was clean and comfortable, number one on my list. Lots of places to eat very near by. Good shower, television was okay, good cable package. Wifi worked great. Breakfast was what you would expect for an economy hotel. Room had fridge and microwave, fridge has a freezer. Front desk was very friendly. A couple of small concerns, it is a loud hotel, I was on the second floor and a pack of elephants had the room above mine. Room doors closed hard, so there were a lot of slamming doors. All my "very goods" below are "for the money"
We needed a place to stay while traveling the pa turnpike and picked the Econolodge in Somerset. It was truly right off the turnpike. It was inexpensive and located walking distance to many restaurants. It was clean and comfortable. I am quite sure this was the least expensive Hotel I ever stayed at but it did not disappoint.
We stayed since it was close to our destination of the memorial. They had clean, comfortable rooms. The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. She gave us great directions to shopping, eating and to the memorial. Would stay there again!
We got a lot for our money at this place with many extras one doesn't always get at an inexpensive motel. The continental breakfast had a waffle maker as well as other typical items like many bread items with peanut butter and cream cheese.
