Great price. * The room doors are located inside! Felt safe Had a great experience here for a last minute stop. Friendly staff, clean room, decent breakfast. It was first hotel of exit. Pool and conference center looked nice but we didn't use it.
The only reason we chose this hotel was because the weather was going to be stormy off and in in the area while we were in the area and it had an indoor pool. Otherwise we would have went elsewhere. Although we stayed in a non-smoking room the hallways reeked of cigarettes. Most of the hotel needs updated. I would be very disappointed if my business had a conference at this hotel. The room and pool were just above poor but need some work. The breakfast was normal fare but the staff need to be a little more motivated especially when their is a crowd.
This property is somewhat dated. The room was not as clean as it could have been. The wi-fi was OK once we were able to get it started. The breakfast was minimally average. We'll stay somewhere else next time we're in the area.
This hotel is literally within spitting distance of the exit from the toll plaza of the Somerset interchange of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, but it is not so close to the main turnpike travel lanes as to cause a noise problem. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. As this hotel is also a conference center, the lobby was exceptionally spacious. The breakfast buffet was much better than I expected as this price point, with hot sausage and other hot items. The WiFi worked with no problems.
Th elocation is very convenient, the staff was super friendly, the room was clean adn sapciaous, the breakfast was good, they allow dogs, and the price was right. What more are you looking for? Would gladly stay there again. In fact, this will be n\my new regualr stop on my trips between Maryland and Michigan. A much better value than any place at nearby Breezewood.
We stayed at this hotel for a business trip. After being in the car for 6 hours, I was extremely disappointed that the Indoor pool is only open in the summer. Don't get that one. The room had no fridge or microwave. The bathtub was black on the bottom. I didn't even use it. The hotel is stuck in the 60's. I was waiting for disco music. Breakfast was ok. Going through big brick doorways to get to the dining area made me think I was on a Space ship. The dining room and bar gave me a very eery feeling. Actually the hotel reminded me of the movie"The Shining"...
We stay at choice hotels a lot. This one was average. We loved the location as close to turnpike, restaurants and shopping center. The staff were very nice and helpful. However, the room smelt musty when we arrived. There was also a long hair on the bathroom sink that turned my husband off. The shower was nice and the room itself served its purpose. We did not eat breakfast there as we liked to sleep in past 9 and that is the cut off. We were also discouraged that there was no fridge or microwave in the room. That was a first for us. We had to keep putting ice in a small cooler we had taken to keep the water and orange juice chilled. Thankfully there were no major issues this trip.
Whenever I've stayed here I've felt welcomed and comfortable. This isn't a five start hotel and you can tell with the price. If you want a five star hotel it's going to cost more than what this hotel charges. The staff has always gone out of their way to be helpful, my room has always been clean, and the breakfast has always been appetizing. It's right off the turnpike and around restaurants and fast food. There's a gas station close and a Wal Mart a few minutes away. I will continue to stay here and to recommend my friends.
I was told there was a fridge and microwave in room. There was none and we had brought food with us. They were not willing to accommodate. The wifi in room did not work and my daughter had to go to lobby to work on her college projects the whole weekend. Again they were not willing to help. Room not swept the whole time we were there. Hairs found in shower before we even used it. To top it off I was charged on my credit card for the whole stay although we paid in cash on arrival. After a week or so the charge was removed (after numerous calls to them) but they kept a 28$ charge stating we were not charged enough when we first checked in. Are you kidding? Needless to say we will never be back. It has been years since I had such a negative motel experience. We were left just shaking our head.
Wow. Smelly, Room 130, wall paper peeling, shower curtain wouldn't stay closed so water on floor, chewed pen on floor, bedding soiled, dusty, back entrance not secured, ac /heat vent crusty/rusty. Hotel had a good open conference area.
