The room smelled of smoke when we arrived. I told the lady that checked us in. She said it was just from the air not being on. I know cigarette smoke smell. It got worse from there At night the smoke came in from the vent in the bathroom. I let the staff know. Finally after our 3rd night they put an ionizers in the room while we were gone. It helped a little. One of the staff were going to move us to another room. When she opened the door the smell almost knocked us down. We only had one more night so we just stayed where we were. This is supposed to be a smoke free facility. With exception to one staff member the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was wonderful- good choices and tasted good also. The pool was out of order the whole week so we were unable to swim. When we checked out the lady who checked us in was back. When I told her we did not enjoy our stay due to the smell she commented to another staff member about how the smoke goes in the room from the bathroom. So she knew the whole time it was a stinky room.
We chose this hotel due to its location, as we were visiting Wildlife in Need. It is in a very quiet location, away from town. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was nice too.

I am so sorry about the smoke odor. We do try to figure out when or who is smoking because we are a smoke free facility. We did put the ionizer in the room per your request. It is a problem we constantly try to battle because the vents sometimes do pull smoke in from outside. We do try our best to pinpoint where it comes from. Sincerely, Jill R. Compton
