Check in was easy. The kitchen was well equipped, but the refrigerator water and ice dispenser didn't work. The house was clean and comfortable, but i would say it comfortably only sleeps 5. The master suite is very large, but there's no door to the room. The master bathroom doors are also mostly see through glass with some frosted designs and do not lock so privacy is minimal. The TV is chromecast only and the patio umbrella seemed to be broken.

Check in was easy. We were greeted with some snacks and a welcome letter. The home was very spacious and overlooked the canal. It was very quiet and relaxing. A quick drive to Walter J. Hayes Park/beach where 11 gets you a day pass if you live outside of Michigan. Pet friendly, but no fenced in space if you need that, so dogs need to be on leash. No paddle boards or kayaks on the property, but plenty of places close by to do so. Very nice little getaway before school starts up again. Host was available for questions and responded promptly. 10/10. Will stay again.Stacey

Quiet, Secluded, and Very Clean Property

We selected this rental primarily because it was near a wedding venue on Wamplers Lake. Everything you could need is supplied as described in the owner's information. There was a lovely yard and canal where we saw a big turtle, rabbits, and even an egret. Inside, it was open and spacious, comfortable, and well supplied. You could really just pack a bag and buy some groceries in Brooklyn and be set for your stay, however, there are some great local eateries we also enjoyed. Eric was a super communicator and a great host. The bottom line is we would return here again because it is a solid area and place to getaway.

Wonderful stay

This VRBO was the most well stocked place we have ever stayed at, which I greatly appreciated. From the kitchen, to the linen, to toilet paper. Just really well thought out. Thank you!!We loved the neighborhood, everyone was friendly and welcoming. There was lots and lots of fishing for our little ones which they thoroughly enjoyed. We caught fish, bullfrogs, and a turtle which of course we put back into the lake, but the kids were just thrilled. I especially loved the open concept of the home. We have family over by Jackson and Marshall and this place was perfect for everyone to come visit for a few hours and then head back home. Thank you so much for the comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable and the furniture in the living room was also nice.

Peaceful Repose

The house is in a peaceful neighborhood with friendly neighbors. We were greeted and welcomed by many as were our dogs. The neighborhood was also full of rabbits, which ultimately caused the most excitement in our house for the family, but especially for the dogs. There's also a rabbit making a burrow in the backyard, so we all got a bit of entertainment watching that take place.If you plan to stay, but not go outside, I'd recommend bringing your Roku or fire stick for the TV. We using casting to watch shows when we were there.The house is well stocked with pillows and blankets and the kitchen is extremely organized. I hope the next vacationers enjoy the space as much as we did.

Cozy Canal Cottage

The house is set up very well for families and especially families with children and or pets. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean, and the host was very responsive when we had questions and again when we wished to extend our stay. I recommend!

Nice little spot down the canal from Wamplers. Short distance from Jerry’s Bar and restaurant as well. Eric was very prompt with communication and the patio was a good place to grill(charcoal) and relax.

Great property

We had a great experience overall! Although we had to shorten our stay and didn’t get to fully enjoy everything the cabin had to offer, we were impressed by how remarkably clean it was. The owner was very communicative and accommodating, which we greatly appreciated. We’d love to return in the future to experience everything!
