loved that there was a true mexican feeling- rarely felt like it was a tourist location No vendors on the beach was nice- only down side was rough waves at times - but loved the hotel over all Would be a bit nicer if the bars outside at beach were open earlier --- 11:00 seemed a bit late to open up. still loved our experience.

Interesting hotel! Built into a hillside and great elevators. We liked the room but were a bit disappointed with the condition of several items (all broken when we arrived - TV, blow dryer x 2) and I didn't like the coffee maker (single serve but it didn't work correctly) & the living room sofa is actually a day bed and not all that comfortable. The master bed was comfortable. The pool and ocean were both nice. The beach is secluded and well maintained. The surf can be pretty rough and not a lot of people were swimming in it (this is a common problem with west facing beaches in Ixtapa - always have red flags up to warn swimmers about rough surf and undertows). Good food at the restaurants and the price is fine. You will use taxi's a lot or expect a pretty long walk back into Ixtapa/Zihu shopping. Taxis are cheap so that shouldn't be an issue. Driving in Mexico can be a bit confusing if you haven't done it before - but I drive when I go down and only use a taxi once in a while.

The staff is great the place is beautiful, but the ac sucks I had to change to 3 rooms all had horrible ac! But this place is about relaxation, no access to Night life no shows no activities.. just pure relaxation! The resort is also away from the shopping areas or nightclub area.

Hotel has great potential. Staff was very professional and polite. Awesome views and jungle like property. Unfortunately, it’s in bad condition and its very dirty. Food is not fresh and prices are high.

I love this hotel love the view the beach the pool

Our plan in Ixtapa was to enjoy the beautiful waters of Mexico. We realized that not only can you not swim, but you like 7 ft waves, you may enjoy it........ We waited patiently trying to get a taxi, but at times it seemed that the Natives were served ahead of us..........the poolside lunches were very expensive and portions were extremely small, the waiters were very rude and we did not feel welcomed. The lounge chairs were very dirty, old and broken........the guests could smoke anywhere in the hotel, poolside area which made it extremely difficult to enjoy the clean air in the mountains. The front lobby was very cordial and courteous. The meals at the hotel were the same each day.........but they were very tasty.

Since the moment we arrived the entire staff super friendly and nice. Room was so clean, nice, room service fast. Definitely planing on going back in October.

It was a pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly. The breakfasts were tasty. The beach is private, although you can't swim and relax. Diving into the waves is fun. The room was clean, updated and with a great view. I would stay here again. One negative experience was during dinner, one staff member almost seemed as if he did not want to accommodate us. We almost felt not wanted. Even with that experience, I will not let that one particular staff member rate the hotel bad. The rest of the many staff members we encountered were friendly.

Nice hotel The only thing is that it is so big you have to hike a ways to get to the pool restaurants from the room. So I don't recommend this hotel for the elderly or a person with disabilities granite they have transportation to get you to the restaurants and the pool but you call from a phone to have them get you so you roast waiting also no Ice in any floor have to get it from the lobby bar, the gym has no shower and old equipment

The Pacific Ocean crashes into the shore with breathtaking beauty. If you enjoy a challenge this is the place! The view can't be beat! The food was amazing! The staff were excellent. The building itself could use some tender loving care in places but everything worked and we had no problems at all. We loved the lights around the trees at night guiding us to the outdoor restaurant. The water was a bit too rough for some, but we absolutely loved it! The pools were very refreshing too. All the rooms come with a large balcony. We really enjoyed sitting on ours watching and listening to the ocean and looking up at the stars.

Can't beat having a private beach in Mexico! We will come back each year, amazing place!

We enjoyed the beach and the pool. Watching the sunset was an enjoyable experience each evening. We enjoyed the breakfast menu and the omletes made to order. The pool was very nice. The staff was helpful and well informed.

One of the only private beaches in Ixtapa / Zih, plenty of palapas for everyone at the hotel. Staff is friendly and helpfull.

It was great to return to Las Brisas after ten years. It felt like coming home again. We have been here several times in past years faithfully coming here once per year. We saw some changes but not many. Many of the staff have been working there for years and it was good to see them again. Cirelo who works in the main bar, is outstanding. Get the Beach Club rooms. It is worth it. The only negative were the parties that go late into the night and disrupts hearing the sound of the waves. There should be a cut off time so everyone can sleep.

I loved the jungle like pathways and long walks to the beach and swimming pool. While many might not like the distances, they are beautiful, give you some exercise, and add to the allure of the place.

Of all the places I stayed in Mexico during a two week adventure, this hotel was my least favorite place to stay. The resort is perfectly situated on the ocean and we enjoyed an amazing sunset from our room balcony. The resort is massive and it requires a great deal of energy to meander from the pool to the beach. The rooms smelled a bit mildew, but were clean.

I have been staying at this hotel for 25 years. I highly recommend it for adults looking for a quite escape. Its location offers a private beach, no blasting music, no product pushers and a great staff. There is only one draw back and that is there are many steps and a fair amount of walking, so I don't recommend for those whom have difficulties walking or climbing steps. I believe it's 35 years old, so you can expect a little wear, still I'll be back!

Salon "Doris lee" is a joke. Save your money. Besides this, great hotel location and beach. Restaurant quality of food was awesome.

Often, we have traveled to hotels that looked amazing online, only to find that the pictures were misleading. The pictures don't lie at Las Brisas. It really is as beautiful as it appears. The design of the building is amazing in providing breathtaking views in every room. What the pictures don't fully show, though, is that the beach is essentially a private one-- while many other resorts share beaches with each other, Las Brisas is the only resort with beach access to the La Playa Hermosa cove-- It seemed like the only uncrowded beach in town. Although you can get an all-inclusive package, I encourage you to get out of the hotel for some of the lunches and dinners. It's very easy to get into town (either with a rental car or taxi), and there are so many amazing restaurants nearby. The town is extremely safe to be out in, so help put back some of your meal money into the local economy.

Terrible hotel, really old, dirty, cobwebs everywhere, couldn't use the pool chairs because they were broken and dirty. The pool was extremely dirty, I had to go in because my daughters wanted to but I immediately felt my lips all greasy. Disgusting. We paid in advanced for 5 nights and ended up staying just the first one while we found another hotel. Next morning we packed our bags and changed hotels (of course no one asked us why we were leaving). We went to the hotel Capella which was amazing. Don't ever stay at las Brisas in Ixtapa.
