just return last week and planning to go back next week:)))) what an amazing time, service, room, view, food - amazing chef and organic products, simply perfecto, muchos gracias to Teresa, chef Philipe,Irving, Pavel, Laura and to others, wow wow wow
We stayed at La Casa Que Canta for a significant wedding anniversary. Our room with infinity pool and view over the bay were sublime but the staff took it up a notch. They all were attentive and totally accomodating including sorting out a mixed bag at the airport pick up. Nothing was a problem. That is what turns a sublime holiday into a spectacular holiday, they made us feel special.
La Casa Que Canta is really the perfect luxury hotel. Staff were so friendly and literally just sat around thinking of ways to make us happy - from complimentary beverages to occasional check ins. The location was flawless, and the architecture and design was beautiful. If you have the budget, you *have* to stay here.
As a million miler on several airlines I consider myself ¨well traveled and I don´t write many reviews . Casa Que Canta is top notch. There is not a better view, more helpful staff or romantic, clean spacious room. Your daily world will melt away.
You won't find such peacefulness in any other hotel. La Casa Que Canta has everything you've always dreamed of when planning vacations. The one and only for total comfort, coziness and tranquillity! The service is impeccable. Spectacular sea view, also excellent dishes at reasonable prices. A hotel worthy of recommendation!
On every level, this place is excellent. Because of a flight issue, we had to move rooms a couple times during our stay, so we were able to see all different levels/types of rooms. All of them were beautiful. All of the rooms and private pools are very private. As someone else wrote, we felt as though we were the only ones here, as if it was our own private estate. Teresa (a cross between your favorite aunt and Isabella Rossellini), does an outstanding job of making sure everything is perfect during your stay. We had stayed at Blue Diamond on other side of Mexico the last two years and lived it, but this place edges it out. Two things that I discovered that may be helpful: there is a short walk out a secure to the beach (I thought we would have to cab it), and, make sure restaurants are open before going to your reservation (two of ours were closed). Highly recommended!
We stayed at El Ensueno for a week- a boutique 4 bedroom villa operated by La Casa Que Canta but separated by a 2 minute walk. We were two families with total of 4 teenage girls on spring break. Not a typical spring break - very relaxing, high end and paradise! El Ensueno has it own common area patio, pool, dining area and private kitchen with a chef and butler. Each room is a master suite decorated beautifully and each with own patio and dipping pool. The staff is absolutely amazing, food incredibly fresh and filling, authentic Mexican, or requested dishes. All was fantastic! We cannot wait to go back!!!! We ate at the boutique resort restaurant that overlooks the marina part of the bay. Beautiful views, wonderful food and wine. Great service I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel!
We stayed here for just over a week . The rooms are really beautiful and have stunning views. The staff are warm and friendly . There is a very high standard of bathrooms, towels , beach loungers and nothing is too much trouble . We managed to leave an iPad by the pool & drop a credit card in the restaurant both were returned as soon as they were found. Yes it's a bit expensive but you get absolutely what you pay for and if you want to spend a day on the beach its less than 100 meters away. The restaurant is also first class and uses very fresh ingredients and was really helpful in providing vegetarian options.
I just returned from a weeks stay in paradise. We were a family of 3 adult siblings, their spouses and a couple of teenagers. We had the entire villa which worked out great for us. The view and the villa are fantastic but the real stars of this place are the staff. El took wonderful care of us. No request was too small for him. He answered every question with a big smile and a SI. Romona, who oversaw our stay, was determined that every detail was perfect. And the chefs....oh boy. The food was fantastic. We would tell them each morning what we wanted for each meal and it was all served family style and was absolutely delicious. We are a bunch of foodies but never left the villa for a meal, it was that good. It is an easy walk to a beautiful beach. The sand is soft and the water is warm. All the people we encountered were friendly and welcoming. I have stayed in villas in Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo but this one surpassed both experiences. Congratulations La Casa Que Canta. We hope to return some day soon.
This was our first time staying at the lovely La Casa Que Canto hotel. We have previously vacationed to Mexico in Playa del Carmen area but primarily in Cabo so we didn't really know what to expect of Zihuantenejo or LCQC. Needless to say, it met and exceeded our expectations. The hotel is quiet, like, so quiet for awhile I thought there were only one or two other rooms occupied, but in fact, the hotel was full. 25 rooms, masterfully done for your complete privacy and peace. This is a place to get away from it all and do nothing but relax. We did chat with another guest who ventured out to Zihuantenejo and nearby Ixtapa and they had a great time. We, however, were masters at keeping our oh-so-comfy lounge chairs occupied as well as keeping the bartenders busy. The view takes your breath away- the most perfect bay to look out over while watching the fishing boats head in and out as well as divers below us catching (something?) every morning. We stayed in Room 10, a pool suite. Again, spacious, serene comfortable. I slept like a baby with the sound of the crashing waves right outside the window. I could go on and on. BUT the real story of this place is the people. On our last day we had packed up and were in the lobby checking out when we realized our flight had been delayed and then ultimately was cancelled. We ended up having to call the airlines and after about 2 hours they rebooked us on a flight out the following day. Well the hotel manager just simply-took care of us! They said not only could they happily accommodate us one more night, but that we could still stay in our fabulous room. They made sure all our travel arrangements were settled and then, get this-- they sent us a complimentary bottle of our favorite wine to our room. Really?? I felt like I should have sent THEM one instead. So, a perfect place is made more perfect by the kind, warm lovely staff. A big hug goes out to the manager Teresa who made all this possible. I wish I could remember everyone's names but Patricia at the lunch restaurant, Venus, with his warm smile and excellent dinner recommendations, (Venus, the food was superb, I was just honestly too full to finish;), Hector, Patricia at the roof top bar, the front desk reception people. etc So if you are looking for a place with loud music, parties, activities galore-this is NOT your place. Instead if you want to escape from reality, relax your mind and body, be pampered while working on your tan then this is the place for you. I also felt it was an excellent value considering the quality of hotel and food.
