Ce que j’ai aimé: la proximité avec des lieux stratégiques tels que le grand bazar ou la mosquée bleu, le personnel agréable et à l’écoute Ce que j’aurai aimé: j’avais payé pour un petit déjeuner que je n’ai finalement pas eu, les murs entre les chambres trop fin car nous entendions les conversations des autres chambres, dommage qu’ils ne soient pas un peu plus épais

Below average hotel

The Sembol Hotel is in a small, yet surprisingly noisy side street 10 minutes walk away from the Grand Bazaar. This proximity is where my appraisals end! The rooms are tiny and not very clean. No proper bedding is provided, the towels are old and there is no coffee in the room. Breakfast is better had in a cafe on the streets. I recommend: Find a different place.

The rooms are pretty small. Nice location, 5 min away from Grand bazar, 20 min away from Haga Sophia and the blue mosque. However, don't expect anything luxurious, which is fine if you only plan on using the hotel to spend the night. One thing, don't use their planning or tour services. They will charge a huge commission on everything they book for you (without telling you obviously). As an example, once, they told us that a shuttle costs 15 euros and when we checked directly with the shuttle company, it was only 10 Euros. They convinced us to take a private shuttle since there were 5 of us. Then, we realized that the shuttle they booked for us wasn't private, as another group of people was there. Did they get the entire trip cost from 2 groups who each thought the shuttle was private? I don't know.

The room is very small you can't move in it, the quality of clients are below average the Internet connection is terrible, the staff don't speak English the breakfast is poor the safe box is broken I will never use it again I don't think it is a 3 stars hotel

Hotel location was good once you know it.

It was difficult to find on the map. Rooms were very small. The staff were not making the unless you would bring to manages attention. The service for airport was very expensive.

Sembol Hotel review - comfy but noisy.

Sembol is very comfortable and the staff are friendly and knowledgable. The room rate was very good value and the location is just right - close to the main historical parts of Istanbul, and also close to the Tram. The Breakfast Room is great - with views of the Golden Horn from the top floor as you take your coffee. The only problem was noise - not from the area around the hotel, which was quiet, but from inside the hotel. There is a problem with the internal acoustics which means I could hear other guests closing doors, walking up and down the marble steps and even people having conversations on other floors.

slecht onderhouden, veel kapot in kamers en badkamer. luidruchtig snachts. matig ontbijt met kapotte koffiemachine die niet werd gerepareerd, dus kopje nescafe. aanbeveling personeel voor boottocht viel zwaar tegen. veel te duur voor wat je kreeg. ongezellige rommelige entree waar werd gerookt.

トラム駅から坂の下のホテル

トラムの駅から坂を５分ぐらい下ります。暑い夏はツライと思います。観光地へのアクセスはトラムを使うととても便利です。またトラム駅前のお菓子屋さんは安く、お土産を買いました。部屋が狭く、ゴミ箱がなく、窓の外、横１メートルぐらいに現地の方が暮らしている模様でした。。。朝食は種類がありましたが、朝一番にいくと、おかずのタッパーにサランラップがかかったままでした。

トラムで空港からホテルまで行きました．スマホの地図（MapsWithMe)を見ながらホテルを探しましたが，入口が隠れているところにあったので，見つかりにくかったのです．一泊一万円ぐらい払ったのに，部屋は意外と小さかったのです．ドアのロックの仕方が独特で，少し困りました．中からロックしてからドアを締めないとロックできません． ※私は日本人ではないから，多少の日本語のミスがあると思うのでご了承ください．

Etablissement très bien situé abordable, propre et sans fioritures. Confort spartiate, chambre un peu petite mais tout à fait acceptable pour un séjour court. Terrasse agréable pour prendre un petit déjeuner correct.

O quarto e principalmente o banheiro era bastante pequeno. Mas estava bem limpo. A localização, próximo ao Grand Bazar e a a atenção que recebemos dos funcionários nos faz recomendar este hotel.

Nära till "allt"!

Detta hotell rekommenderas varmt för den som vill ha nära till de större sevärdheterna i Istanbuls gamla stadsdel Sultanahmet. Hotellet ligger på promenadavstånd till exempelvis spårvagnshållplatsen (Beyazit) och tar ca 3 - 5 minuter från hotellet. Med spårvagn tar man sig enkelt och snabbt till andra sevärdheter i närheten. Bayazit-moskén och bokmarknaden Sahaflar Carsisi liksom Stora basaren ligger knappt 300 meter från hotellet. Blå moskén, Hagia Sofia och Topkapimuseet ligger bara två hållplatser längre bort eller en promenad på mellan 15 och 20 minuter. Det var läget som fick mig att välja detta hotell. Kan verkligen rekommendera att resa till Istanbul!

Geht so...wenn man einfach nur ein Zimmer braucht.

Aufenthalt war "naja"im Hotel hat mich nichts umgehauen.der Ausblick von oben aufs Meer existiert zwar, ist aber nicht auf dem Bosporus sondern af die Seite des Meers, wo nur binnenverkehr ist. Personal fand ich zum Teil sehr unfreundlich, fast schon eine Null Bock Haltung. Das Zimmer war nicht das beste, hatte aber auch einmal ein schlechteres in Paris. Es war zwar aufgeräumt, aber in den Schubladen waren noch kippen und Zeitung, und ich glaube nicht, dass es zum Service gehört (Zeitung von vor drei Tagen). Frühstück war das nötigste. Brot, Marmelade, Käse, Aufschnitt, Oliven. Einzig die Lage war echt Super. In max. 10 min. War man beim großen Bazar, an einer strassenbahnstation. Aber nochmal würde ich das Hotel nicht nehmen.

God beliggenhet ,gode senger og lave priser

Hotellet hadde meget god beliggenhet og svært gode senger og var rimelig i pris. Det er også stort sett det positive man kan si. Betjeningen var hyggelige, men engelskkunnskapene var svært mangelfulle og gjorde det vanskelig å kommunisere. Den flotte froskostbufeen vi var forespeilet, var en sterk overdrivelse. Det var dårlig utvalg, men det hadde vært greit dersom det lille de hadde var blitt fylt opp når det var tomt. Måtte hver dag spørre etter glass, skjeer og boller til å ha froksotblandingen i og her var ikke betjeningen spesielt blide. Vi var forespeilet et rom med dobbeltseng + enkeltseng ,sjøutsikt , kjøkken og peis (!), men fikk et knøtt lite rom med 3 senger, utsikt til bakgård, ikke kjøkken og peis ( det siste var noe vi ikke savnet). At et hotell ikke svarer til forventningene og at man må innse at man får det man betaler for, er greit. Det å bli forespeilet noe du ikke får, gjør at jeg nok ikke vil ta inn på dette hotellet igjen.

The hotel location is extremely bad as it's very hard to find . The map provided by the hotel is extremely misleading, I had to take half an hour to find the hotel. There are at least over a few dozens hotels in this area, it's impossible to ask the people on the street as they also have no idea or not hearding the hotel at all. The hotel room is just ok, simple and looks clean. The breakfast is not suitable to me, and I only eaten their bread. Coffee, tea and juice are not that acceptable to me too, so i only drink the water. The neighbourhood seems not very safe, however, the people there actually quite nice and not disturbing you at all, even at late night. The staff is ok and some are quite friendly and helpful, while some are not. The good part is there are so many restaurant and shops in this area, and it's close to all the main attractions, it would be an good option when you are in budget and also when you have known how to get there.
