Staff was very friendly and they try to help you as much as they can.room was clean.we stayed at the ground floor the first two night it was very tiny.we switched to another room bigger and they gave us same deal.we ended by staying there all our way to Istanbul.location at sultanahmet area.very close to hajia sophia and downtown istanbul like 6 minutes walk.they have terrace and free breakfast with views over Marmara sea.

I really love this hotel. The stuff were really great and friendly. They behave to make you comfortable more than thinking about how to get more money from you and could trust them completely. You think at home in this hotel. I completely recommend this hotel to everyone with limited budget.

Unfortunately not much left to say that hasn't already been covered by previous reviews. This is an excellent small clean hotel with : Excellent Staff Excellent Breakfast Excellent location Excellent travel advice Excellent value for money So in summary it is Excellent, do yourself a favour and stay here when in Istanbul.

I stayed at this place for a full week to visit Istanbul and surroundings and I can certainly confirm all the excellent reviews you can read about it. The staff and owners were extremely friendly and helpful and I would like to thank them one by one. The cleanliness is perfect and the breakfast sublime with a great choice of foods and drinks. I will definitely stay again at this place on my next visit to Istanbul!

Our stay at this hotel has been a fantastic one. I will start with the service and hospitality, from when we first set foot in the hotel all the staff were friendly, courteous and welcoming, they are willing to help with any problem or need you may have and have great knowledge about the area and things to do and see in Istanbul. At all times of day they put you as the guest first. Thankyou to them all for making our stay so comfortable and such a special one. The rooms are warm and welcoming (The items in the mini fridge for one are priced reasonably and not extortionate like most hotels) with lovely carpets and paintings, the beds are good and the bathroom is easy to use. There is an air conditioner for the summer months (But we used it to heat the room up as it was a little chilly when we visited Istanbul). Breakfast is provided and it's lovely, a wide variety of choice that changes daily and the view from the terrace of the bosphorus is wonderful. All in all I will not be staying anywhere else when I visit Istanbul in future and highly recommend anyone else visiting to do the same. Cihan

I find it hard to praise this small - but perfectly formed - hotel highly enough. My daughter and I stayed for three nights, and really wish it had been longer. Rooms are beautifully appointed, and cleaned daily. There was a lovely breakfast, with different options each day, and the terrace was wonderful. Location could hardly be bettered, a hop skip and a jump away from the main sites, but on a quiet street. Best of all were the staff. Everyone we encountered was both professional and friendly but special mention must go to Calal and Hamit, with whom we enjoyed interesting conversations. And Hamit's recommendations for the best places to buy coffee, Turkish delight, and a kebab were spot on. I could go on, but would probably only be repeating what has been said in earlier, positive reviews. Suffice to say that our stay at the hotel added to our enjoyment of a truly amazing city.

By far the best hotel. Its location is right in the center of Old City, close to all the historical sites. The service and staff are great, very helpful and friendly, always wiling to provide the best service and hospitality! The rooms are nice, clean and cozy. You can eat a delicious breakfast while enjoying an amazing view to the sea. We had a great time and will definitely go back :)

This homely and impressively comfortable place was recommended to us by one Irish friend who had stayed here previously. From the time we arrived at Osmanhan until the day we left we enjoyed every single moment of our 9 days' stay in Osmanhan (and due to this hotel the city of Istanbul) as the location of this rather small, very clean, most friendly, traditionally hospitable and tastefully decorated boutique hotel made all the difference for our first proper trip to this magnificent city. There was not a single day when there wasn't any complimentary and/or money saving surprises for us there (especially for our teenager son who immensely enjoyed his entire stay there) with the final surprise being the complimentary shuttle transfer for us and another couple to the airport. You could not find a better motel with the central location such as this with all the historical and touristy sightseeing places only a few minutes walk away from there. The Araasta Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Carpet & Mosaic Museums, Museum of Islamic Arts and History etc are only a few minutes away from this hotel. The staff are amazingly friendly and hospitable in being always ready to help guests to make the most of their stay in Istanbul. They will go to great length in advising and ensuring that guests do not get ripped off by taxi drivers or any other outlets. Personal observation convinced us that these guys must have quite high a standard for hospitality, service delivery and total customer satisfaction. It was obvious how the owners and staff enjoy serving guests and tourists there. Breakfast is served daily with healthy menu with tea/coffee/juices served on your table by Hamit and the fluent French speaking chef Fatima. The view of the Marmara Sea from the rooftop is refreshingly breathtaking and is a welcome addition to the healthy breakfast served daily. The proprietors (Hamit and Mustapha), Manager (Celal and Omar), the always smiling chef (Fatima) and the lady who makes the room every morning (Aynur) have all very high standard of service delivery. Hamit is also very knowledgeable and an expert in Kilim & Turkish Carpets so if anyone is interested in this area Hamit is endowed with this otherwise rare knowledge which he also imparted to us for free :). We really enjoyed our time there and have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful to anyone who also want to enjoy Istanbul. It's indeed an excellent place to stay especially at an affordable price considering the central location, service delivery and the bonus surprises!! Shaz & Fouzia

I spent five nights at the Osmanhan Hotel in January 2017. The hotel is a bit of a story in itself. It is very small with only 7 rooms and a penthouse dining area including a sensational rooftop terrace. If you are a Novotel/Sofitel 5 star type person this place would not be for you. However if you like your hotels to be a bit quirky and different and have a bit charm rather than corporate rigidity this is the place to be. The staff were incredibly helpful. Omar and Ghengis were like my personal tour guides helping me to plan out all my days of sightseeing with plenty of knowledge and enthusiasm. Having said that I was the only guest in the whole hotel the first few days so they had plenty of time to spend on me . The lovely Fatima, whose English was only marginally better than my Turkish, prepared the delicious breakfasts on offer. Not once in my life have I eaten olives, fetta, cucumbers, tomatoes, capsicum potato salad, couscous and spinach Gozelme (toasted Turkish bread) etc for breakfast. Well I have to say I've enjoyed these breakfasts very much. The home made yoghurt and Fatima's home made cakes (everyday there is a fresh carrot cake or apple and cinnamon cake) are a great bonus. I really enjoyed my time at the Osmanhan and would strongly recommend it to any traveller who likes to avoid massive corporate concrete box type hotels.

We couldn't have been more pleased with this cozy little hotel right in the heart of the Old City. All the major sites are within an easy walk and the owner (Hamit) and manager (Celal) were incredibly hospitable and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and the view from the roof top terrace is fantastic. Our room was a bit small but it was very nice, clean, comfortable. This is where we'll stay if we're fortunate to come back to this magnificent city.
