It was a worst stay in this hotel. Since I booked this hotel in an emergency while I was already in Istanbul and had no other choice so I decided to give it a try. The rooms have no no enough space to move freely and the rest rooms are always flooded. They have no elevator, so you have more than one bag, you have to carry them in narrow upstairs. The breakfast is somehow reasonable, although you can't find a variety but at least you can eat something. This hotel is run by a very greedy family. They will always ask you for extra money whenever you need their services. The lady (you can always see her during breakfast) has a worst attitude. The guy at the reception (employee, not part of the family) is a real human and he knows how to deal with guests. I had to check out a bit late and I already informed them of my flight time, the receptionist guy provided me another room to take some rest until my shuttle arrives. When the lady seen me in the room, she immediately started shouting on the receptionist and get me out of the room. I spent 5 hours sitting on the bench placed outside the main entrance. The only plus point to stay here is the location. I have visited four continents and dozens of countries, but never ever experienced such behaviour.
This hotel is at walking distance to Aya Sofia and Blue Mosque. Grand Bazaar is also walking distance from this hotel. The staff here are very courteous and polite. The only drawback is lack of lift facility. Also options for breakfast was limited. One has to carry his luggage through steps. However compared to the price this hotel is s steal.
We stayed here in October 2015 for a sightseeing holiday in Istanbul. The receptioinsts were always friendly and open to offer advise or help. The room was tiny but clean - perfect for a budget stay! The breakfast is served on the nice little balcony on the top - it was always plenty and offered wide range of choice for a small hotel. The hotel is situated close to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia - all the main sights were within a nice walk's range. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a nice hotel to stay at while visiting Istanbul.
My husband and I spent 5 nights in Ocean's 7 hotel for our honeymoon The room is cozy the hotel makes you feels like home but could be better Staff were very nice and friendly : Esra, Nasser, khorsida and Mr Bahri are very nice people. We went two nights to Bursa and came back to Ocean's 7 where they offered us to leave our luggage safely in the hotel before we leave.breakfast is very good.better than a 5 stars hotel. Will go back again for sure. Nour & Hasan
On a trip in 2014 I had the pleasure of staying at this quaint, beautiful Hotel in the área of Aga Sofia . It is located 4 blocks away from Aga Sofia and not too dar from the cruise ship docks . It is an older large house convrted to a hotel They serve various breakfast foods and the terrace has a great view pf the Bosforous and the bosques When I return to Istambul I will stay here again !!
When we arrived, we were met by Esra, the lovely lady at the reception. She made the check in fast (although we had to wait a bit because there were guests who checked in also ahead of us). Our family room was large enough with a fridge and 3 beds but no table (only two dressers). As a word of notice, this is not a chain hotel but rather a family run hotel. There is no lift but there are only 3 floors of rooms with the 4th floor as breakfast area. The bathroom door is showing lots of cracks and so is the 4th floor area. Our bedroom 203 lock was attached to the door frame and so it could easily be entered into by anyone. There is a room safe which was great. The Wifi was strong and reliable (the best point). The room was warm and toasty when needed but I got dehydrated the first two nights due to the heater. On our second morning, there was a pipe leak, which meant there was no water available...and when water service resumed, there was no heated water (making it impossible for us to take a shower). All in all, this was good value for the money and the location is awesome. it was near the main sights yet was in a location that was remote and quiet. Being a family run hotel, tourists should encourage their patronage hotels like these although to be entirely honest and if I had a choice, I would prefer to stay in an affordable hotel with more amenities.
First I recommend this hotel for any one need to visit Istanbul - Perfect location Newest for most historical locations ( Sultan AHMED , Haja Sofia and another places - Nearest to oId market , Grand bazar , Lalai Market - Clean Hotel - helpful Staff speak ( Turkish , English and Arabic ) - Nearest to Tram station ( Sultan AHMED ) Finally Spacial thanks goes to Israa ( Smiling Face ) Sales Manager for her hospitality, support , help and recommendation . Many thanks Israa And also I need thanks Nasr Allah reception team
The hotel is near the Sultanahmet Square where most of the tourist attractions can be seen. I find the room very comfortable and the price is reasonable. The staff was very accommodating and very helpful in giving tips. They will take care of you from the moment you stepped in at their hotel until you're bound for your flight home.
The hotel is located in the Sultanahmet area of the old city of Istanbul in a side street of Akbiyik Caddesi. It is a relatively small budget hotel with no elevator, but clean and comfortable rooms with aircontintioning. For elderly people with knee problems, the stairs would be difficult to manage since they are relatively high and turning. The standard double room with the bathroom is about 15m2 with a beautiful view of the opposite Hotel Romantic. Aside from the airconditioning, the room provides a T.V., a mall refrigerator, and a small closet with hangers for blouses, shirts or T-shirts, and a hairdryer in the bathroom. Soap was provided and some conditioner, but no shampoo. A safe is also available. On the roof top where one can enjoy a free breakfast between 8:00-10:00 am, one can enjoy the view of the Marmara Sea. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful with the luggage. The room was clean and ready when I arrived. The Turkish-style breakfast was ready even before 8:00 am and the room was cleaned regularly. The hotel's location is strategic as all tourist attractions of the old city are only 10-30 minutes walking distance away. The Basilka Cistern, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and Hagia Sophia can all be reached on foot. The Grand Bazaar is also only 30 minutes walking distance. One can also reach the Sultanahmet tramway station easily and there one can charge the Istanbul card and use public transportation either in the direction of Kapatas bus terminal or to Bagcilar to connect with other tramways. One ride is only 2.15 TL. The area is usually busy with tourists. Hundreds of shops and restaurants to find everywhere to the taste and budget of everybody. Numerous hotels to be found in the same area also.
I would definitely recommend this lovely place and will be back with pleasure! Perfect location, cosy rooms with all necessary (safety box, fridge, hairdryer), amazing terrace where you can enjoy free coffee and tea anytime, contemplating over the Bosphorus or the Blue Mosque. But the biggest asset of this place is their staff!!! Extremely attentive, they pay attention to every detail and go beyond your expectations. Thank you for making our trip a memorable one !
