We recently stayed at Hotel Perula on the weekend. The hotel manager 'Hamit' gave us a tour of the hotel and first stop was the rooftop. The views were incredible and in perfect sight of the Blue Mosque. Perfectly located in a central area with ease of access to the main sites of Sultanahmet and the metro / tram. Staff were friendly and polite, hospitality overall was great. Buffet breakfast was tasty and traditional Turkish. Very romantic if your a couple and convenient for families also. I highly recommend a stay at this beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Sultanahmet.

During our fourth visit to Istanbul, the Hotel Perula stay of 9 days was by far the best experience with a hotel we have had in Istanbul. I wanted quiet. It was. You don't hear your neighbors, and the windows effectively keep out the noise from the street. My husband wanted to be centrally located and close to the tram. The Perula fit both requests. The Hotel is very clean, and the staff were helpful and accommodating. Our stay was perfect.

We (family) have spent in the Perula Hotel 7 nights in total – 4 nights after arrival to Turkey and next, after a short break another 3 days. This is enough time to see all details of the hotel daily operation. We made the booking directly from the hotel – the answers to the e-mails (with questions) were sent quickly and in very detailed manner. The location of the hotel is very good for the people who come to Istanbul for sightseeing. The hotel is located in the touristic are – just about 150 m to Hippodrome and about 350 m to the gate of Blue Mosque. There are many restaurants around so no problem to find a place to eat. Just about 40 meters from the hotel entrance there is a laundry. The laundry service is also offered by the hotel with the price 20 TKL per 1 kg. The distance to the nearest tram stop is about 300 meters (slightly uphill) or about 500 meters (flat way). The travel time from/to Ataruk airport depends on the traffic. On Sunday afternoon during the public holiday week it was only 17 minutes. We took airport transfer company car – the price was 20 EUR. The photos on the hotel web site are real and honestly present rooms. We have got family connecting room and this a very good option for the family. You get two double rooms (one with double bed and the second with two single beds) – each with bathroom and additionally a part of the hotel corridor which you can cut-off from the public use by closing door (you get the key to this door). The rooms are clean, equipped with electric kettle, free Lipton tea bags and Nescafe 3 in 1 are also offered. In the bathrooms (showers inside) there are soaps, shower gels and shampoos. There is A/C in the rooms with personal option to adjust temperature and speed. The free WiFi works properly. The breakfast, served between 7:30-10:30 was very good. A big variety of hot and cold dishes – some of them are served every day and some are changed (for example: boiled eggs or scrambled eggs, hot sausages, cold cuts as slices of cheese - 6 types and a few types of sausages slices, 7-8 types of marinated and fresh vegetables, salads based on pasta or eggs. fruits). And there is no risk that something will disappear if you come late. There is a lift in the hotel. All the hotel staff was very polite and helpful. Really fantastic atmosphere.

Hotel Perula was chosen by me because of its location and competitively attractive rates when my I was booking a stay in Istanbul about 3years ago for my son and based on his recommendation my sisters family also stayed there in December 2015. I booked on Bookings.com for my stay in March 2016 for 3nights before my tour and then again for 2nights after my tour. The day staff and night staff went beyond the call of duty to be good to us. they were friendly, helpful, engaging and ever willing to offer advice, tips and suggestions when we requested any before beginning our daily touring the Istanbul sites. The cherry on the top was the lovely breakfast they organised for us when we needed to check out at 4am for our flight to Kayseri and after our 6day tour, when we returned to Perula, we felt like we were coming home. We were once again warmly welcomed for another 2night stay. On our second check out for our return home, we were allowed to use the facilities for 3hours longer and were even spoilt with complimentary beverages while we waited for our airport shuttle. The airport shuttle was also booked with the hotel at 5Euros per person and that was much cheaper than the inbound shuttle we ourselves had organised for 20Euros. The added advantage is that Perula is one of the later stops of the shuttle before it gets onto motorway so we had no more stops after our pickup and were at airport in good time. Another big plus for us was the close proximity to the Blue Mosque for our prayers as well as Hagia Sophia, Arasta Bazaar, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi and other important sites and also 5Minute walk to the SultanAhmed stop on the T1 tram line. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and modern, comfortably ventilated, well serviced and cosy. No extras like swimming pool or gym but we were not looking for those because we were in Istanbul to enjoy the city and didnt feel the need to pay extra for facilities we would not utilise. I would definitely recommend Hotel Perula and would look no further if and when I return to Istanbul

I stayed in Hotel Perula along with my family, it is an excellent hotel. We arrived late and still got a very nice welcome, the rooms are clean and very comfortable. The staff were so nice it just added to how much we enjoyed the hotel. Breakfast is amazing and very delicious. The most amazing thing is the location because all the major attractions were walking distance and really nice food places too. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting Istanbul you will love it! 👍🏽

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with this lovely boutique hotel. We were warmly welcomed by the reception who helped us with our handbags, and offered freshly brewed turkish coffee, with some turkish delight! The rooms are clean, well decorated, and cozy. The next morning we had the opportunity to try the breakfast which was versatile and definitely delicious. Other great thing was the location, we didn't even use cab during our stay, the gentleman from the front desk suggested the Akbil (public transportation card) so could go everywhere we wanted to, avoiding the horrible traffic. We would be definitely recommend this hotel to anybody who would like to stay in the city center with a 10 minute walking distance to the most of the major sights!

Cosy, beautiful with friendly staff who care a lot for guests. Affordable and worth more .It is walking distance to shops and amenities. Surrounded by good restaurants. It does not serve lunch and dinner but there are 3 or more restaurants within a 20m radius. It is 5 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and from the tram. Highly recommended and loved it

Perula was clean and tidy, in a very good location.breakfast was poor but OK. Bed a little hard,30 to 40 meters to a laundry so got it done very cheap. tours to blue mosque ,Top Kapi Argia Sophia. All this is within walking distance even Grand Bazaar only 15 mins away,Bosphorus dinner cruise and show were also very good. restaurants all over were good and there are some fine bars, every one was polite.

Stayed with a girlfriend for 3 nights. We had twin beds together, there was no room to separate them but it was OK. I found the room and hotel very hot and stuffy and noisy when patio door open but the location makes up for it. Shower was very good !! Only 5 minutes walk from the main square , couldnt be better. Breakfast was disappointing, mostly catering for locals. Staff were fantastic, so helpful and polite , they went the extra mile for us as we needed to confirm flights and get our boarding cards printed. Would recommend going on a night Cruise on the Bosphorous , food not gourmet as advertised but definitely a fun evening and fabulous views of the architecture. Well worth staying at Perula , great value. We hope to go back again next year and continue sighseeing those things we didnt have time to see. Beware of long queues for the Blue Mosque, check times when it is open as the travel books are not always accurate. Best time would be during the week, the weekends were manic !!

Stayed there for 7 days.. we took 2 rooms.. The location is excellent.. rooms are clean yet very small.. blankets are small.. we asked for an extra blanket they said that they have no more!! Breakfast is poor with limited variety.. however staff is very friendly and helpful.. the hotel is very calm and quiet.. bathrooms are extremely small.. the shower in our bathroom was defected and they didn't fix it.. toiletries are of bad quality.. TV has no English channels..
