Hotel management do not care about guests at all - I booked a room and during next 4 (four) weeks was trying to contact reception by email - no reply. They simply ignore incoming messages, in my case it was good by the end - I wanted to ask them to arrange transfer from the airport, finally I arrived by taxi wich was 48 TL only (so called hotel transfer appeared to be 60 Euro). The hotel is outdated and needs repair - carpet is durty, furniture seeking carpenter.TV was presenting only two channels with very bad quality - it was repaired the day after. Our room had windoe into inside yard, howere it was still noisy - aircrafts were approaching IST airpirt exactly above the hotel, plus very busy street (local police was using horns all night long). No chance to sleep. We went down to SPA center and got very dissapointed - steam room was cold and no steam (despite spa reception told me it was okey), in sauna (max capacity for three) there were 5 people from the street (nut living in hotel), behaving like it was their private lounge.
The best thing about the hotel is its location. It is just across the tram station that takes you to most of the must-visit places in Istanbul. We got upgraded to an executive suite which was very comfy and cosy with an indoor Jacuzzi. The staff were really helpful especially the duty manager who recommended few places to visit.
I booked 2 rooms for my family. I send an email to the reservation department mentioning the names of the guests, although i received a response, ı could easily figure out how unprofessional they were. Anyway, the check-in was the worst experience. A lady called Sinem was as tough as some taxi drivers in the city. She was very aggressive and unfriendly. She did not even look at me! I gave her the passports and i was explaining to her that an email was sent and i wish everything is clear. She said, Show me the email!! then simply she left me and asked her colleague to continue the check-in (a guy who was friendly). i am writing this review because this lady ruined my day, there was no single reason to deserve such treatment. My family stayed twice in this hotel but i think we will not consider it anymore. Staff like Sinem are those who most harm the tourism industry in Turkey....
This hotel is conveniently located across de T1 (Metrobus) only 10 minutes from Grand Bazar and Blue Mosque-Haya Sofia, but the description on the site is not accurate as it stays to be 2 Kms away.. have a very good spa and Turquish bath with very reasonable prices for massage, but surprisingly you can use the sauna, Turquish bath or steam room for free, but not the jacuzzi, even if you paid for a massage. Very recommendable the experience of the Turquish bath. Very nice pool too. In the bad side, internet at night do not work at all. Every day had to call somebody to fix it, and one of the nights I could not use it. I guess when several customers connect it colapse. A shuttle to the airport is offered, but not for free and non shuttle on Friday. Also the personnel at the spa do not speak english, not even a little. You may expect in an American chain like this to have bilingual staff.
Iocated on the main street, it had good access to the Tram and public transportation. We asked to be located away from the main street since I am a light sleeper. The room was quiet during the night but every day at 06:00 the sound of adhan (morning prayers calling) was very loud. I mean loud loud! as if a person came to our room everyday in the morning with a microphone and said the calling for 3 minutes or so. The room was small and the ruggs had stains all over them. the building looked very rusty and old and did not offer a view since it had only 5-6 floors. The bed sheets, toilet and bath tubs looked clean. There were two pillows on each bed but they were small and very sloppy. When I asked for a different pillow, they said it is the only type they have The air condition did not leave you with the choice of choosing “cool” or “warm” only the fan speed! We wanted to set the tempreture on cool, but they said it is only on heat mode since it is November. The reception suggested to open the window if we want a cooler Temperature! which is very unpleasant for a 5 star hotel. The safebox did not work properly. The room was not delivered slippers, shower gel (it had bath foam but not shower gel), the blow dryer sounded dangerous and the top was secured with tapes! The lobby was small and very average. The rating for me was a 4 star and it would be unjust to other 5 star hotels in Istanbul if they are considered at the same range plus I have seen 4 star hotels near Taksim.the accomodation was just the same.
The room was big enough for all of us,However not cleaned at all. I'm not sure why. The hotel itself is outdated. The front desk team are a bid firm and not welcoming. I will definitely come back to my lovely Istanbul but not to this hotel.
I really liked staying in this hotel, the location of it is perfect just opposite to the tram station which make all Istanbul accessible. The food was very nice, the buffet at the morning has everything you ask for. The cleaning was very good, to be honest I liked the cleaning staff because I normally sleep till afternoon and I get out late after 3 pm however; I came back I found the room is cleaned and everything is in order while in some hotels they just come in the morning and if you told them to come back later they will not show up till next day. The only thing I can comment about is the room size is small but it was comfortable enough. I will definitely come back in future.
Simply put this is an extremely well run and friendly hotel. My room was on the back and was quite quiet. I say quite as we had the window open. This was because the ventilator made rather a noise! As the window was open the call to prayer at dawn was rather loud. Never mind. Church bells are even worse! Our room was very pleasant and it had tea making facilities. We slept well and enjoyed our stay. Small issues (problems with the printer hotel computers available for guests) were swiftly, competently, and most politely resolved. It is so convenient for the tram into town or to go to the train change for the airport. Excellent.
I have contact the reception for my concern but he was urespecfull The hotel is very bad, bad treatment, no service although it is a 5 star hotel We saw a wastes under the bed Please see the comment of people in the google maps الفندق سيء جدا تعامل سيء فطور سيء الخدمة سيئة لا احترام ولاذوق فالتعامل بالرغم من انه 5 نجوم ولكن فالحقيقة هو لايستاهل
The standard convenience of a HI. The hotel is not central but is well connected to airport and city centre. There is a tram stop just in front of it. Staff was very helpful and polite. they all spoke English. Room was clean and comfortable. A bit dated though. Had no problems with noise although my room was on the side of the busy road. I did not have breakfast. I did use room service and the food was really good and good priced. I didn't use the wifi because Turkey is a roam free country, so used my own. I would stay here again.
