Great location,, close to every where. Walking distance to Grand Bazar Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Spice Bazar, Topkapi Palace, Soleymanie Mosque. Walking distance to metro and bus stations. Super friendly staff! Great management, good breakfast.
This was my second visit to istanbul and it was the best, this hotel made my trip, nice staff, awesome service, clean, historical, quiet, great view, good food, high speed internet, AC, TV, people are friendly, staff speak english and they are cooperative, hospitable and generous they smile always :) and more and more, really a good hotel
The first time I stayed in this Hotel in February 2014 it was a little gem in the back streets of Sultanamhet , so close to the Blue Mosque I could see one of the Minarets from my window. My room was very comfortable with complementary tea and coffee. Everyday the room was cleaned and the towels were changed and my bed was nicely made. On my request I had a balcony that overlooked the Bosphorus looking out to Asia where the sun rose every morning. Every person that worked in the Hotel was very friendly kind and helpful. There was a lovely breakfast in the morning and always someone at the reception who was able to help with all the questions I had for my day ahead. It was such a lovely holiday. With my previous experience still fresh in my mind I returned to the Historia in early November this year only to find that unfortunately things have changed. The Hotel is even better than I remembered it to be. Everyone was just kind and helpful and I actually felt at home. I can honestly say that if you require a very reasonably priced, very well located Hotel this is the one for you

Very pleased with our stay at this hotel from the 3d of November to the 6th of November. Cosy, quite clean rooms with the heating (was very important one rainy evening!))) ). Good value for this money. The staff helped with everything - beginning with the shuttles from and to the airport and finishing with the printing out our boarding passes. It was nice to discover a dish of fruit in the room as a compliment from the hotel. And you cannot find a better location. We highly recommend this hotel.
We felt us very comfortable and we had a beautiful time, but how can it be that the hotel got so many super recommendations...unbelievable. Are these people blind or ignorant? We saw 5rooms from inside and we stayed in the superior room with balcony. Please llok the pictures. I stayed in about 10 hotels in Istanbul with an average cost between 50 Euro and 60 Euro the night. The best things there, were the friendly and helpful stuff and the balcony with seaview. The rest you can forget.especially the mold in the bathrooms are disgusting...it's not nice. The breakfast is acceptable, but not good in comparison to other hotels...sorry, but never again.
Hotel staff very helpful, rooms comfortable ,close to all amenities, perfectly situated to enjoy old city.Have used same place several times and will continue to do so.Really helpful shuttle to and from airport including sandwiches and a drink for an early start on the journey back home. Will I recommend Absolutely, good value for money ,but most important helpful caring staff at all levels.
Historia Hotels services and location make it Great! From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, I was taken care of in style. The hotel is very accommodating , and was excellent in arranging tours that maximized the amount of places I could visit in the span of a week. The staff are knowledgeable of the area and english/turkish speaking. The Wifi is awesome for those times you'd like to contact home (or surf the web) and haven't picked up a local sim card. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide range from cereals, fruits, meats, eggs, etc. (for the travelers who enjoy milk with their teas/coffees, they cater for that as well) The staff are super friendly and eager to assist with any queries, or even a chat about the region. The hotel itself is a just a 5 minute walk away from the Blue Mosque and Grand Bazar. Its about a 7minute walk to the Tram service. For an English speaker, this hotel was great and I definitely aim to return to it in 2020 or 2021 (when the walk way bridge from the European side to the Asian side of Turkey is said to be completed. I'm hoping to try my hand at a walk from one continent to the other) They offer laundry services as well which helps if you packed light in terms of clothing. There's TV in the rooms as well, with some news channels in english, but the majority of them in Turkish. The rooms include Heating as well as Air conditioning and a mini fridge. (even has a elevator/lift in case you're tired from walking or can't use stairs.) You know that feeling you sometimes get after reading a good book, where you want to do it over again, well i had a very similar feeling when leaving the hotel, and I'm personally looking forward to coming back to Turkey and staying there again. The Historia Hotel is certainly a diamond in the rough, and I highly recommend staying at it.
Just spent four nights at the hotel for a sightseeing trip to Istanbul. Picked this hotel due to its central location and was not disappointed, the Blue Mosque was literally at the top of the road and all the other sights were in 5 minutes walking distance. The hotel itself is small but the staff are really friendly and helpful. I was originally given a room on the top floor which had a large balcony (with no view) but was extremely small. However they were happy to change it to a larger room with no balcony which was a better option. Towels are changed daily and toiletries are replenished regularly, free bottled water was a nice touch. Breakfast was good with quite a good selection, both hot and cold, and there was a small rear terrace with a couple of tables where you could eat if you wanted fresh air. A good value for money hotel perfect to see all the sights of the city.
I stayed there for one night, booked myself a room with a balcony and partial water views. Firstly, my room was very clean, there was an aircon that actually worked. The balcony was large and there was a table and a pair of chairs to sit on. As far as the location goes, while the nearest metro station is about 20 minutes away, there's a bus stop very close - you just have to walk to Bosporus (that's 5 minutes or so) and from there a few rather frequent buses to go the ferry or metro. If you decide to only concentrate on the key attractions like the Blue Mosque you may not need to use any public transport at all as these are virtually at your doorstep. I would also like to acknowledge the staff who are really helpful. To summarise, i would definitely stay at the Historia Hotel again.
