I stayed there for one night, booked myself a room with a balcony and partial water views. Firstly, my room was very clean, there was an aircon that actually worked. The balcony was large and there was a table and a pair of chairs to sit on. As far as the location goes, while the nearest metro station is about 20 minutes away, there's a bus stop very close - you just have to walk to Bosporus (that's 5 minutes or so) and from there a few rather frequent buses to go the ferry or metro. If you decide to only concentrate on the key attractions like the Blue Mosque you may not need to use any public transport at all as these are virtually at your doorstep. I would also like to acknowledge the staff who are really helpful. To summarise, i would definitely stay at the Historia Hotel again.

I had a stop over the day before and after visiting central turkey. My time there was thoroughly enjoyed. Staff were so welcoming and extremely helpful! I was slightly unlucky- airport losing my baggage. staff constantly phoning the airport for updates and keeping me informed even once my stay had ended. Would come back here in a heart beat! Thanks again Historia Hotel!

I must say I had a great time staying at Historian Hotel. From the booking emails to my last minutes stay at the hotel the staff were really professional, helpful and friendly. My father and I stayed 3 days at the hotel and we loved it (we liked it so much that we came back 2 weeks later for one more day stay). The staff at the front desk were amazingly helpful (a big thank you to mr. Mutlu Bayam!) giving us many tips of how to go around Istanbul, helping us with transfer, taxis etc! The breakfast is really nice with a great variety of cheeses, cereals and breads and scrambled eggs we love! Also we loved the opportunity to have breakfast outdoors listening to the birds (they have an area outside for breakfast), and we enjoyed the room we stayed - very cozy and clean and the toilet with nice bath/hot shower perfect to relax after a full day walk around Istanbul! All in all I should say a big thank you to Historia Hotel and I will definitely be back again soon!

A Gem with Wonderful Staff The Historia hotel was my last accommodations after an extended wander through 12 countries and was a wonderful way to finish off my trip. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming, and aside from general friendliness, arranged a trip to a fantastic Turkish bath and a river cruise on the legendary Bosphororus (both of which I felt like I got a fair deal on, and both included transportation). The daily included breakfast had lots of variety and the food was fresh and well prepared. The room, with a private balcony with a lovely view, made for a very pleasant sitting with a cigar and a cup of tea or coffee - also, they serve wonderful tea and coffee in the lobby. The location was fantastic as it was in an interesting area and walkable to the Blue Mosque, Grand Souk, and to the riverfront. This allowed me to see lots of variety within a short period of time. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious enough to spread out and repack my belongings. The bathroom was particularly nice as it included a bath tub for a soak as well as various good quality soaps/shampoos etc. Overall, I felt like I found a hidden gem which was made even better by the exceptionally kind and attentive staff. I encourage anyone to ignore the negative geo-political news and visit Istanbul for a stay at this hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay in this quaint homely hotel , the rooms are a bit small but very clean and extremely comfortable, the bathrooms are clean too ! I loved the staff , Multu and the boys were so pleasant and adorable , very helpful! Loved the old style patio area where the breakfast is served ! If you want to be at a relaxed sweet and quaint place , this is it :-) tram and good cafes very close to the hotel ! Use Uber and not taxis; they always find this hotel"s location rather easily ! Lovely place ! So chilled ! Leena Moin Aziz Pakistan/ Ankara

We have stayed at Hotel Historia four times . It is good price for the location in Sultanhamet and perfect for visiting all the major historical attractions with the Blue Mosque , Hagia Sofia and Topkapi Palace only 5 minutes walk . The rooms are small but nicely furnished with comfortable bed, modern shower room and good quality toiletries. WiFi is secure and good reception. The upper floor rooms have balcony with nice views. Breakfast is very good and served in lovely room with outside garden area. The staff are friendly and efficient and most of them have worked there all the time we have visited .

Need to Know 1.They charged more than Booking.com or Hotel.com. 2.WiFi service very very poor. 3.Environment so so. 4.Manager so Clever. 5.Stuffs are very good. 6.Breakfast Good. 7.Rate & Hotel conditions not equal.

I love this little hotel in Istanbul. Price was amazing, the rooms where very clean. Breakfast was included and amazing, one of the best breakfasts I have tried. If you are traveling on a budget but want something good this is the place.

we had the most enjoyable stay at the Historia as a family.the service is very personal and all staff are very helpful and accomodating.the hotel is located in a perfect spot in Sultan Ahmet and the location fort he price of the hotel is excellent value.you are a very short walk to the blue mosque and the Hagia Sophia and 10 minutes from the grand bazaar and a short tram ride to Eminonu to the spice markets. The breakfasts were great with lots of choice and they even cooked a cheese omelette for our very fussy son every morning. It experience of our holiday in Turkey and couldn't fault the excellent service and all fantastic staff, hopefully heading there again this year.

We (2 girls) stayed in this hotel for 4 days. It is located close to all main attractions. The staff, Mutlu and all others were very helpful and respectful. Nothing was too much for them to ask. We will for sure visit again. 10 out of 10 rate from us.
