We went for a couple of days with our son, baby daughter to celebrate our wedding , Anniversary and the staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. They helped to arrange trips and no request was to great. Reception staff particularly were very helpful. Even my son forgot a souvenir which they posted free of charge, to the UK when found! The hotel was economical and with the bonus of being in walking distance to all the main attractions meant we did not need a taxi or car hire. It is also located within walking distance of the restaurants and the main Grand bazaar (10 minutes). Loved Istanbul and the rich historical sights! Will definitely be visiting again . Highly recommend it.
Well it is hard to rate this hotel. It has 3 stars, but Turkish 3 stars, which means its like 1-2 regular european stars. It is very simple, but that is not the problem. The problem is that the room and the sheets were a little dirty, toilet too, the window in our room faced the wall =, which was funny and sad (cant even see what kind of weather it is..), the room is super small, the breakfast doest have a lot of options, but if you like boiled eggs and potatoes you will be good. The worst thing was that the room had mould. It smelled really bad. Good things: Terrace. We haven't met anyone there and spended there every evening. Also, the place. You can reach the centre in about 10minutes.
Me and my wife stayed here for our honeymoon in late February 2017. We found the staff very friendly accommodating and full of good advice. This is one of those places you can get an excellent value for a good price. Would definitely stay here again if we visited Istanbul.
Very nice hotel at good location not far from monuments to visit, staff very helpful and friendly! the rooms were clean and the service almost daily to clean the rooms! I recommend this hotel if you want to be close to the places to visit, the Grand Bazaar and the sea at same time
if u r planing to go to istanbul for vacation or any sort of reason do not stay here, had a worst experience ever staff was so illiterate, communication issues very ill-mannered ppl don't know exact about the manager met him to complaint about some stuff like a/c isn't working properly and had face other issues.. they told me to give free airport transportation but they charged 35 euros for it..!! and worst and very small rooms.. and they are expensive for no reason!! there are more other hotels cheaper and better then, them!
if your plan is to enjoy living in a luxurious, spacious hotel then find some other cities but not Istanbul! Istanbul is about sightseeing, historical places, natural beauty. so this hotel provides you with all what you want to make your journey smooth and pleasant. thanks to all helpful staff especially mr Arif for help and cooperation that made our journey unforgettable.
It's a small but neat and clean hotel....location really great...we booked two room for stay one day one the way to going USA...entered into hotel about 3 pm TST...room is small I just kept 2 bag inside my room and rest all bag kept in lobby in downstairs. No lift is there so with heavy bag I climbed 3rd floor (uk-2nd floor)..but bed 🏨 size is big..washroom size medium..wrist part is that a very cunning manager(Not owner)in day time who first charge us 3 doller for parking our car in main road..he was more interested to take this money rather than give our room.second he was very poor in English.but thanks god the owner of the hotel is very good person I have ever meet...very decent.he come to desk at morning...well in English..breakfast is average..and people in dining were very good..a old lady in dining with motherly face give my son a toy..she was always smiley,Though she can't understand English but I got a home touch there...a good restaurant in front of this hotel with very cheap price and good food...roof decoration are not as like picture shows on website...room decorations is good but not specious like picture shows on website...location is fantastic...its waive your taxi cost..grand Bazar (grand carsi)5 min walking distance with beyazit trum station...you can go easily from there and get various kind of Turkish cuisin very cheaply there with fresh BBQ fish on the way...if I will go again in Turkey with small bag then definitely I stay this Hotel again...salam and regards to hotel owners and this motherly lady from Bangladesh...
The hotel is on a perfect location. It was very convenient for me and my friends to walk to every place of our interest from this hotel in a short time. The room was clean and comfortable. The service was perfect. And, what I want to mention is that the personal was very helpful while giving instructions where and how to go :) That's why we managed to see every place of interest in a short time, and avoid wasting money in taxis :) I honestly say that when I visit Istanbul next time I will stay at Fors Hotel :)
Very small and cute hotel. Clean!! Great location, in walking distance of almost everything. Nice staff very helpful and friendly. They offer nice breakfast, don't remember much but the fact that they had an amazing freshly baked bread for breakfast!!! Affordable pricing, will be back for sure!!!
We spent two nights at the Fors hotel while waiting to board a cruise ship. In comparison to our hotel room, the ship's cabin was huge. A double bed gave just enough access space around one side and the base. The window overlooked a wall only a few feet away so the room was dark throughout the day. The TV did not work and neither did the one in our friends room. This wasn't a big issue as we did not spend much time in the room. We did manage to get a good nights sleep as the temperature was cool enough to switch off the air con. Breakfast was a simple buffet selection with some stale tasting cereals. There was a good choice of cold meats and cheese, but the coffee was pretty rough. The tea was fragrant and did not taste very good with milk. There are several small, traditional shops in the area which is off the beaten track and some good restaurants. The one up the hill to the left (Dergah Kofte) we found to be excellent. The reception staff at the Fors are great, but we found the breakfast staff a little surly. If we had got a room overlooking the street then our opinions would have been improved as these have much more light. The hotel location is very close to the blue mosque. Don't let the taxi drivers charge you more than 15tl as it is only a 5 minute drive. You can walk it in 20 minutes. I can't imagine we would return to this hotel if we visit Istanbul again as there are much better alternatives
