Our party comprised three Architects on a regular business trip. We booked three rooms advertised at 18sqm each (paid higher rate than the 14sqm option). On arrival were we provided one 18sqm room and two 14sqm rooms. Despite being architects with measuring kit to hand, the front desk was adamant our rooms were of the correct size and tried to brush us off by showing an even smaller option. The showers have been put in without U-bends so sewage smell is constantly present. They routinely cover up these drains with floor towels. The ventilation fan didn't work in one of the rooms. The Wi-Fi internet in rooms rarely worked, let alone at speed, although in the lobby it was fine. Breakfast was weak at best, with no basic service and a limited spread. The hotel overall has charm, is well located and the rooms cleaned daily but I would not recommend given the current problems.
First of all i should start this review mentioning the excellent location, you are in the heart of Sultanahmet.Second the stuff was very helpfull and do their bests to fullfill your iquires.Third rooms has amazing view especially those in 6th floor that have balcony. In general everything was great except from the breakfast that needs to be more enriched.
I have travelled more than five times to Istanbul and usually have had good experiences with the hotel and staff. But this was the WORST experience: - First of all the room we got was WAY TOO SMALL, we almost didn't have any place for ur luggage and to walk around. - TV was broken. - Non-functioning bathroom, water floathed everywhere when we wanted to use the sink - The staff was super unfriendly and irresponsible and told us to talk to our agency when we asked for a upgrade or help. I would NOT reccommend anyone to book to this hotel. Never will I go here again.
Greate hotel Me & my mom staid at burckin hotel for 5 nights. Super clean rooms, cool roof top area with grate view of haghi sofia , bosfor bridge and the sea. Best access to the tram, 2-3 min walk to Sultanahmed Sq.so many coffee and restaurants are around. Metro station is so close you can either walk or use tram. The break fast was good with different menu each day. The only weak point for this hotel was the reception. Both day and night receptionists were rude and unfriendly.
We stayed for 4 nights. Loved the location as this is a short walk to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. You can also see both at the rood deck area, however it is too hot during breakfast at the roof deck where breakfasts are being served. If the hotel can close off a portion or half of it to give consideration to those who doesn't want the sun it would be a lot better. We booked a standard or de luxe room, the price is reasonable. Its just that the design is really odd giving us very little room to move around. Bed was pushed to the wall so it is not very comfortable if you are sleeping on the wall side. But overall if you want a great location, and actually service is good as well, then this is it.
Having been to this hotel twice once in winter once in the summer I can highly recommend it in particular the roof terrace where breakfast is served and bar is open at night giving great views of the mosques
Thanks Mret It was an awesome time and awesome view I had a great dial spicily when I reach with my family and found a better room and he accepted that and change my booking. Mret the receptionist was so cooperative person
Very good location with a good view of Hagia Sophia and blue mosque from the breakfast terrace. Clean room, and ours had a balcony , but very small, with little space for storing clothes. Our balcony door didn't close properly, the air con switched itself to cold most times and the toilet didn't always flush. The breakfast was very disappointing , and the staff not particularly friendly or helpful English language was not spoken in the breakfast area. The reception staff are not friendly. I have stayed in other hotels in Istanbul before where reception couldn't help enough. Not the same here unfortunately. The rooftop terrace bar was not well stocked and we had to wait 20 mins for them to go and buy beer, which was served warm. I would not stay here again , I would choose the hotels I have stayed at previously. A good location but too many other negatives.
Great Location... and great views from both the balcony rooms and the terrace Bar Restaurant... but reception staff unhelpful and not.too friendly.. didn't even look up on entering hotel each time.. Bad smell coming from bathroom in the balcony room 602.. when notifying reception, we were told it was because it was windy..😂😂. breakfast was poor, bar was badly stocked and what they did have was warm.. however the wine was good. Cleanlines Excellent... can't fault the location .. views and cleanliness though.
It was the best hotel for my wife and I. The hotel's staff is super nice and very professional. The hotel is only 5 minutes walking to Blue Mosque, 7 minutes to Hagia Sophia and 10 minutes to Topkapi Palace and Bisilca Cistern. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
