The rooms are clean and well priced. Well placed for historic attractions. The real bonus is how helpful the staff are. Breakfast is a buffet service and tends towards a continental style. One niggle. Room servive kept loocking me out of my room somehow but it was a minor inconvenience. Would defintately stay here again.
Me and my husband stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, but it was disappointing! I stayed there 3 years ago and it was fine but now... What can i say...breakfast was very poor and cold, when we complaint, they said our chef is in holidays 😂,the air conditioner was very noisy although we didnt use it,there was a sound of water leaking at room and we couldn't sleep, we changed our room 3 times😨but we couldn't rest at all.
Stayed here with group of group of girls.Close to everything with wi, fi, too.Organised bus to Hamam for us.Super breakfast.Fridge in bedroom too.Only thing was the shower step was a little high but thats quite normal.(I lived there too so I know)
We went here for a weeks holiday. The rooms were extremely clean well equipped, comfy beds, great power shower. The staff were magnificent, friendly and kind. A waiter called solman and a receptionist called ilyas and all the others. Made our stay so relaxed and we felt at ease around them. Always smiling and helpful. My young baby Abdullah loved them all. This hotel was 5 mins walk from all the main attractions in istanbul. So convenient. I strongly recommend, I will be using again and again. Brilliant all around.
this hotel is very good for who want a clean and calm place. only brekfast is not excelent. 270 m distance to gulhane tramway station and 50 m distance to sirkeci marmaray station.the bathroom is very clean and It is cleaned daily.you can walk to sultan ahmet & ayasufia, grand bazar and seeside.
Very friendly. Good wifi. Great position .great price. Will go back again any time. Within walking distance of everything, Aga Sofia, Blue Mosque, Galata Bridge, Museums, Topkapi Palace Grand Bazaar, all of it. Easy walk to great restaurants and diners. Stay in Sultanahmet for the best ancient and modern Turkish experience
I stayed in this Hotel for 3 night with good feeling. Staff is good, helful and friendly. Street with full of beer shop, good location. near Fairy Station and close with beach. Only 1 thing in Instanbul that Sea gull so noisy in early of morning
I stayed there in Sept 2014. The Asur Hotel is located in Sirkeci area, which is very near to the main attractions in Sultanamelt district. One can conveniently go to other areas as well as the Attaturk Airport via the Tram (& connection to Metro). The area around are full of other hotels, restaurants and also small shops for drinks, snacks, etc. The room is rather big when compared with the other hotel in the same district and price I stayed. The fittings and interior of the hotel are rather old-fashioned, but the cleanliness and conditions are still good.
We were a family group (9 of us) and stayed during early Sept. The hotel was very accommodating and were able to get all our rooms on the same floor – plus point! Breakfast buffet was surprisingly good with a good range/selection of pastries, bread, cereal etc. Location was amazing (which the hotel gets top marks for), we were in SultanAhmet and so walking distance to the main tourist attractions, SultanAhmet Mosque, Hagia Sophia etc. The only negative point I have is the showers, they were raised higher than usual so you had step in (at least two feet high). I thought every morning I would trip or slip in or out of the shower but was OK, the morning battles I had with the shower! In all seriousness, my mother and aunt had to request shower step-ins as they would not have been able to get into the shower otherwise, so for those that are elderly/or generally struggle with lifting their leg over a few feet. The showers should be ground level especially from a safety issue so that someone does not slip coming out of the shower more importantly. All the showers were like this in all the rooms so maybe something for the hotel management to think about when designing the showers in future. Rooms were clean and the staff were good and very helpful but I would like to give a personal thank you to Mussa for his kind and forth willingness to help us out with everything from Tourist Attractions to general service (especially as were with a 2 year old). Although, he recommended a restaurant to us called ‘Ottoman Restaurant Sirkeci’ (in SultanAhmet), which they deliberately ‘misleaded’ us when ordering food so ended up paying twice as much than we should have – AVOID! (I will be writing a full detailed review on this separately).
We came back to Asur for one night stop, traveling by car from Antalya to Bucharest. Again, excelent choise, nice and friendly hotel, in the heart of Fatih and so close to Sultanahmet and Galata Bridge. Carefully stuff, nice clean room, very good breakfast. This time was noisy în the morning, as they were demoloshing a building nearby, very close. What's pitty is that the do not have a contract or an agreement with a parking, as the nearest one increased the price from June to October with 30%! Despice this, to park în the middle of Istanbul with 12€/24 hours it's not such a huge amount. I recommend this hotel for tranzit, even for more nights stay - for a City Breack, it'a a covenient place to stau visiting the old Istanbul!
