This was the third time we returned to this same Hotel. We love everything about it. Prime location, excellent room, best bathroom and shower ever, fantastic breakfasts. But for us, the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, really every one of them, is what makes us return time-after-time. We walked in at 6 am on our most recent visit and were welcomed and accepted in the way only family do. This hotel was our first introduction to the very special hospitality we have only experienced in Turkey. They anticipate your needs and without any familiarity, gently assist you to have the best experience. Thank you to everyone at Asur in Istanbul. Horst Kaiser, South Africa
I stayed at Asur in Istanbul last weekend. I chose it because family had booked there and I was joining them. When I saw the prices I became suspicious at how low it was and so booked the 'suite' hoping to get an acceptable room. Well, it is a very basic hotel with basic breakfast. Clean though. Location is spectacular and in walking distance to all historical sights and the spice market and Galata bridge. Staff are super friendly. Be careful of: it's really hot in summer and aircons are not reliable, safety standards in bathroom are dodgy and tiles in shower slipppery, brush teeth with bottled water only, get sitcom checked. But for the price, it's totally worth it!
The rooms are clean and well priced. Well placed for historic attractions. The real bonus is how helpful the staff are. Breakfast is a buffet service and tends towards a continental style. One niggle. Room servive kept loocking me out of my room somehow but it was a minor inconvenience. Would defintately stay here again.
Me and my husband stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, but it was disappointing! I stayed there 3 years ago and it was fine but now... What can i say...breakfast was very poor and cold, when we complaint, they said our chef is in holidays 😂,the air conditioner was very noisy although we didnt use it,there was a sound of water leaking at room and we couldn't sleep, we changed our room 3 times😨but we couldn't rest at all.
Stayed here with group of group of girls.Close to everything with wi, fi, too.Organised bus to Hamam for us.Super breakfast.Fridge in bedroom too.Only thing was the shower step was a little high but thats quite normal.(I lived there too so I know)
We went here for a weeks holiday. The rooms were extremely clean well equipped, comfy beds, great power shower. The staff were magnificent, friendly and kind. A waiter called solman and a receptionist called ilyas and all the others. Made our stay so relaxed and we felt at ease around them. Always smiling and helpful. My young baby Abdullah loved them all. This hotel was 5 mins walk from all the main attractions in istanbul. So convenient. I strongly recommend, I will be using again and again. Brilliant all around.
this hotel is very good for who want a clean and calm place. only brekfast is not excelent. 270 m distance to gulhane tramway station and 50 m distance to sirkeci marmaray station.the bathroom is very clean and It is cleaned daily.you can walk to sultan ahmet & ayasufia, grand bazar and seeside.
Very friendly. Good wifi. Great position .great price. Will go back again any time. Within walking distance of everything, Aga Sofia, Blue Mosque, Galata Bridge, Museums, Topkapi Palace Grand Bazaar, all of it. Easy walk to great restaurants and diners. Stay in Sultanahmet for the best ancient and modern Turkish experience
I stayed in this Hotel for 3 night with good feeling. Staff is good, helful and friendly. Street with full of beer shop, good location. near Fairy Station and close with beach. Only 1 thing in Instanbul that Sea gull so noisy in early of morning
I stayed there in Sept 2014. The Asur Hotel is located in Sirkeci area, which is very near to the main attractions in Sultanamelt district. One can conveniently go to other areas as well as the Attaturk Airport via the Tram (& connection to Metro). The area around are full of other hotels, restaurants and also small shops for drinks, snacks, etc. The room is rather big when compared with the other hotel in the same district and price I stayed. The fittings and interior of the hotel are rather old-fashioned, but the cleanliness and conditions are still good.
