Beach Nourishment Notice – Isle of Palms Like all barrier islands, the Isle of Palms experiences natural cycles of sand accumulation and erosion. While most of our beach remains healthy, two specific areas in Wild Dunes are showing signs of significant erosion. • North Hot Spot: In front of the Ocean Club and Seascape communities, located at the northern tip of the island. • South Hot Spot: Along Dunecrest Lane, Beachwood East, and Seagrove Villa. To address these concerns, the City of Isle of Palms will begin an emergency beach nourishment project on April 10. The project involves relocating sand from a sandbar located in front of the Property Owners Beach House to these erosion-prone areas. Work can only be conducted during low tide, when the sandbar is accessible. Below is the tentative schedule: • April 10–24: Nourishment of the South Hot Spot • April 24–May 8: Nourishment of the North Hot Spot • May 8–22: Return to the South Hot Spot for additional nourishment We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to protect and preserve our beaches. For updates, please visit the City of Isle of Palms site.
The villa is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and 2 bathrooms, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a sofa bed, and a coffee maker. Housekeeping is available on request.

Mike was great in helping out and answering any question. This was the best stay we have ever had in South Carolina and anywhere else we have traveled to. We cannot wait to go back and vacation there again. They were terrific.

Very nice! Best beach location.
We enjoyed our stay, loved the big screened porch. Only negative is the sound of footsteps from people above which did have an impact on our quiet time. Comfortable and clean and steps from beach which was wonderful.

Great for small kids, clean, and close to pool and beach
This was our first visit to Isle of Palms and this location was perfect for our family. The large screened porch with sitting area/ TV was great allowing us to enjoy the outdoors and quick access to the beach and pool. Multiple smart TVs (inside and outside) with plenty of viewing options allowing kids and adults to watch separate shows and extended the living space of the condo . The condo was very clean and nicely decorated. The property manager was quick to respond if we had an issue. We would definitely stay here again. Great trip!

Excellent location. Unit was average - clean and comfortable. Need instructions on how to use TVs (4 different remotes - Struggled everyday). Bathrooms were too small. Ice maker didn’t work. Sliding door to laundry area kept coming off track.

VRBO photos are unrealistic of actual property.
We were very disappointed to actually see that the photos we viewed on VRBO were not accurate. The refrigerator in the kitchen is all beat up on the outside ( although it works well the looks bring down the quality of the condo) the kitchen cabinets were peeling , a floorboard in the main living area was sticking up, the furniture, though it had been cleaned , still was stained and had an odor from body sweat . The screened in porch was great except that the outdoor TV ( which is one of the reasons this appealed to my husband ) did not Work !
There was a small wooden bowl on the outdoor table that was broken when we arrived ( we did not throw it away ) and one night at 4:00 am we heard a loud crash that woke us up and it was a picture that just apparently fell off of the wall ! This condo would be great if it were refurbished and if there was a way to lock the back door from the outside so you could actually leave via the screened in porch .

Recently renovated but serious problems
We just returned (yesterday, 10/14/2017) from a week in this property.
.
The Good:
Very attractive condo. Recently renovated with new paint, flooring, furniture etc. The tan rug you see in the living room picture is badly spotted and really takes away from the otherwise attractive surroundings....It needs to be cleaned (if possible) or replaced/eliminated.
The Bad:
The HVAC system is essentially inop due to a break in the ductwork that results in the conditioned air being pumped to the underdeck area rather than into the condo. We were fortunate in that we were two adults and were not going in and out all of the time. If we had had kids with us, the condo would have been unbearably hot. The master bedroom was still warm, but we used a fan to route the cooler air from the living area to the bedroom. A maintenance team sent out to run a scope through the ductwork. Following are the service man's written comments on the trouble ticket:
"Little to no flow in back master bed. Basically no air flow in living room under TV because of breaks in ductwork. Lots of condensation built up on registers. Guest bed room has very weak air flow on first vent. Suggesting for wood to be removed from crawl space so ductwork can be inspected & replaced. Moldy/mildew smell when first walking in."
WE WOULD NOT RENT THIS CONDO AGAIN UNTIL REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE. IT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OUT OF SERVICE.

Nice time at the beach.
Overall a clean and comfortable unit except for the odor. We experienced a strong musty smell when we entered the unit and after a day or two you go "nose blind", but our clothes still smelled musty when we got home so that is a problem that needs to be addressed. I didn't see the previous review until a week after we had booked or I probably would have gone elsewhere. That being said, the condo was in good order, the kitchen housewares were adequate, bring your own basket type filters if you drink coffee. The screened porch is fabulous with the view of the ocean and two ceiling fans. The community pool for this condo section is very nice and you don't have to have a pass to use it. "Just six steps " will take you down to the beach is misleading in their description because it's six steps to the board walk that takes you to the end of the building then down more steps to the path to the beach which is a good block and a half walk to the actual beach, not a big deal but if you're planning on only six steps you'll be disappointed. This was the first rental that didn't have a "Things to do/restaurant guide" book with maps and visitors comments in it so hit the visitors center before you check in. We had a very enjoyable week here and would come back if the musty issue was taken care of.

horrible mildew smell and visible mold on the toilet seats
We rented this condo for the screen porch, and it was amazing!!! We ate all our meals out there and spent many hours at night relaxing on the screen porch that looks over the sand dunes, the beach and the ocean. The condo itself was ok, but the mildew smell and visible mold on the toilet seats were less than appealing.
