The location is paradise but the rooms are not particularly nice. The bathroom is appalling. I have travelled extensively and this in my opinion deserves a 2 out of 5. It was big but ancient ( the decor). It stank of cleaning products that had been used to clean the room.
The food was mediocre - greasy and not nice. The food at the restaurant by the other end of the hotel which served fried fish and rice was much better.
The liquor was DISGUSTING. Please Serve less liquor but better quality if you want to attract more clients or at least offer wine menu that clients would be willing to pay for.
The music is too loud and not to everyone’s taste.

Liked: Cleanliness
Lots of potential, no memorability.
If you are used to visiting luxury hotels this place is not for you, but if you want to relax in a warm, calm and beautiful beach and forget that the world exists enjoying simple but healthy and fresh food you're going to be comfortable. The location has a lot of potential but it surely can use some remodeling. Definitely do the trip to the islands, it's worth every penny and take a good amount to pay for the fresh lobster ceviche, coco locos, and wonderful lunch at Baru. Beware of "extra charges" for the transportation to the island that are not included or announced in your reservation online. There was some funky smell that would come by from time to time mostly in the evenings, probably from the maintenance area. We also were awaken by some maintenance noises in the middle of the night. The waiters at the restaurant and the bar tenders were pretty nice, but definitely the front desk has ways to go in the customer service area, smiling in the customer service world goes a long way, never forget.

The beach pays the stay.
The beach pays the stay.
The hotel needs maintenance.
The hotel is in a good location but is in a poor state of repair. The dolphin show never happened during our 4 day stay. They advertise tours to neighboring islands but they don't go when only a few people want to go. We had to pay for the empty seats in order to go on a tour. There is little to do at the hotel location and it gets boring after one day. I would recommend staying in Cartagena and taking a boat tour from there if you want to go to to the islands, snorkling or diving. I would not use this hotel in the future.
the first thing is the bus driver in the three hour bus journey is a lunatic, the food in the hotel is terrible! the choice is very bad, the beds are uncomfortable. i complained along with everybody else and said i wanted to levae the hotel. to their credit they tried to help and gave me a free massage, but after a day or two it was the same rubbish. the colombian people dont complain and accept a lot, i didnt expect 5 star, but this was barely 2 star. this is my first bad review ever and i just wanted to warn people how bad this is.
This island is an habitat for pink flamengos that I have only seen in luxury shopping malls. There, I could see hundred of them. The place is very quiet with beautiful beaches and the staff was very kind and helpful. This is really paradise island.
The food was ok: mostly local colombian food from the coast and some seafood.
I loved this place. The only drawback is that they dont allow you to stay in the beaches after 6 p.m. I guess this is a place to go with your family and a signficant one but no a party place for singles. Although they have an open bar they are very strict with rules...no drink or loud music after 1 a.m....etc. The trip from Cartagena in bus ~ 2.5 hours is not that bad but still I woud have prefered taking a boat.
Lo mejor las playas , y la atencion del personal, es un 3 estrellas con una inmejorable vista. Creo que es un hotel para colombianos , en cuanto a costumbres , comidas, etc etc , que un all inclusive ,
