Stayed here for 4 nights with a large group of friends. The rooms were very basic but it was a very good price for August time plus they were very clean ! The location was good, very near the port however to get to the clubs and bars it was a long walk up many steps and a steep hill + wish we would have known that before. Having said that the staff were amazing and the pool area was fantastic- couldn't have asked for better! They had loads of inflatables for us to use, many comfy sunbeds and the food at the restaurant was delicious and very well priced!
Mass focused hotel zero support for the individual. Staff is rude because of family issues and they think that somehow visitors are a pile of money. They wouldn't leave us alone busting into our rooms without permission to remind us we have to pay. In such a tourist friendly country this hotel is just honestly shame for the public. When we arrived our room was occupied by some drunk guys ....we waited untill 4o'clock to get in and in the meanwhile we were told that WE had to get them out of there cause from now on WE were paying for their stay. Not a single good morning etc. was spelt by the reception and the family's members wich is a matter of common politeness to the customer. I personally was FALSELY accused of destroying hotel's property WITHOUT ANY SORT OF EVIDENCE . I have travelled all around the world and this is by far the worst place to stay, in generall a lot of red flags. The only good thing there was the maids that i would rather see run the hotel than clean it.
I really loved this place. The price was great for June (€20 a night) and the pool was wonderful. They had a unicorn and other things you could play with in the pool. It’s at the bottom of a hill, but if you’re going to Ios you have to get used to hills! There’s a bus to town if you don’t like the hill. As a solo female I felt very safe there walking around at night. Will definitely be back.
This hotel was nothing more than decent. The rooms were okay, not the cleanest. The pool was nice. The major positive was the location. It was super close to the pier so we could walk after getting off the ferry and also really close to the night life. We could walk home after being at the bars all night. It's also close to the bus stop to take you into town. Nothing special, would NOT recommend if you are picky about hotels and if you want anything more than a half decent stay.
if you are travelling alone this is the place to meet people, do the pre-drinking ritual and spend your hangovers by the pool! friendly local staff will give you all the advice you need for your time on the island. Ask Nancy or Nikos. food is nice and in good prices! rooms are average but who cares?! you 'll spend very few hours there. I prefer the pool! location is also top!
The clean and tide rooms, the big balconies, the nice views, the swimming pool are a few reasons to stay here. The super friendly stuff made us want to stay more and see more of this beautiful island. Don't forget to order the breakfast burrito!!!
The staff were really friendly, and the beds were quite comfortable. Improvements could be made to the bathrooms, but the pool and bar definitely make up for it! Would recommend to young people on a budget looking for a good stay in Ios!
Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Ruined my time in ios. The bed was rock solid and we were given one sheet which was as uncomfortable as anything I ended up using my towel as my blanket. The staff were rude. I ended up moving hotels. Do not recommend
Armadoros hotel in Ios is without a doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Where do I start... bed bugs, sheets blankets and towels that were dirty and appeared to be 20+ years old, electrical outlets that didn't work... On top of this probably the worst mattresses I have ever slept on, and when I went to have a shower the water filled up to my ankles. The only decent thing about the hotel is the pool, but if it's cleaned by the same person who cleans the rooms, my guess is that it's filthy. I COULD NOT WAIT to leave this hotel.
Came here as part of a group tour, and I imagine most of the guests here are part of similar trip tours. What this means is that this is a party hotel. If you are after something a bit quiet this isn't for you. Staff are a bit on the rude side and the wifi doesn't really work. Towels aren't changed each day and the breakfast is not good. Location is handy to the port but not to the town but there is a path to the town up the hill which takes about 10 minutes.
