Visited the hotel with my fiance, the rooms where great and so was the view. Once at the restaurant the food was not all that good expected more from the hotel, thankfully we had great service from a waitress Eva and she also had recommended us to try the cocktails so we did, thank you Dino for the cocktails they where great. So thank you Eva for your amazing service and how friendly some people can be and always smiling.
My wife and I stayed at the this hotel in May 2019 just two weeks after it opened for the summer season. As a result we missed the large crowds of young party goers. The hotel is very nice and staff very friendly but it is built into the side of the hill so our room was reached by 2 elevators and a number of stairs. There were 2 pools with a smaller more private pool further up the hill. Unfortunately this pool was closed on our second day for repairs - not sure why these repairs were not done during the off season. The hotel is in a great location with easy walking down to Mylopotas beach and an easy bus ride to the small town (Chora) and port. The bus ride costs E1.80 for each journey. When you get off the ferry you can just catch the bus to the hotel - its the first stop when you reach Mylopotas beach. The breakfast was very nice but did not change much during the five days we stayed there. We also found the other end of Mylopotas beach not as exposed to the winds and the ocean was calmer at this end. We are happy to recommend this hotel as a great place to stay.
Perfect stay for my college Euro trip. We had a mixture of delicious food, adventure activities, partying and crazy drinks, peace and quiet, pools, and instagrammable spots. Absolutely in love. Welcome drink upon arrival and you feel that sense of welcoming throughout the whole stay!!
We stayed in this very nice modern hotel September 21st for 3 nights . Breakfast was very good , room was very nice and clean but so far up the hill it was like we were in another hotel. Not the most friendly hotel we stayed in while in Greece , especially for the amount we paid . The nicest staff member was the young man that was sent for our luggage . Overall it’s a nice hotel trying to be a high end hotel , it’s doesn’t make it .
We were under the impression this was going to be a luxury hotel stay for our honeymoon. We are only booked on for 2 nights. Upon Arrival I must say it does have a beautiful view of the beach and the pool areas are nice as well. This being said we are very disappointed with our room. We were booked into the superior room. (115) Do not let this name fool you. It is not at all superior room. It is a small standard room.It is very small has room for the bed and the balcony you can barely have room to sit down. BUT the view is nice. When asked if we could upgrade to a real honeymoon room with a private pool I was told there is no availability. I was then showed a bigger room that was available at an extra cost. After already paying so much for our stay we did not feel it was right to have to pay more for the room we were supposed to get have anyways. The bed is just a mattress on a concrete slab, we are young and still found our back we’re hurting after just 1 night. The balcony doors slam around on windy nights, the toilets to not flush well, there are no robes or slippers and the floors have not been well cleaned. The safe is a little sketchy and seems old and tampered with. There is no iron board provided either. Oh and the free wifi? It works well downstairs and on the beach but good luck trying to get online in the privacy of your own room. That being said it is right on the beach, has a great view and good location close to chora, and I could see it being popular during the busy season. But October not the best option because most of the stores and restaurants are closed.
Not much to say about the hotel everything is to much to tell. We have been there 5 times and will return again next year. Staff are all like part of our family Great bay Large beach sunumbree\lls great place
Let me start by saying this is a wonderful spa hotel, at the far end of Mylopotas Beach. The food is excellent, there is a great bar with a reasonably good wine selection. The Spa facilities are v.good (albeit some end of season maintenance now required where the hard water has made some services unusable). However....and some context. My wife and I decided for our annual two week vacation to do a single location trip to the hotel. Booked through an agent, we read the brochure but did limited research about Ios and the beach. The beach is everything it lives up to be - golden sand with a very shallow bay and beautiful clear water. In high season, the beach is listed in the top ten world "party beaches". Ios itself has a reputation for enticing clubbers and party goers to all hours of the night. The hotel is nestled at one end of the beach, up a short incline and built into the hillside, which means there are plenty of steps! By its very nature & location, its not in the centre of any party antics and access to the hotel/bar/pool is open to anyone. The hotel needs to cater for all tastes though. We arrived at the end of high season (early Sept); the pool bar still playing the club mixes from previous weeks. Within a week, the tempo had slowed, the guest age increased and it became more the spa/hotel experience I was anticipating. The hotel markets itself as 5 star. This is where it needs some polish. There was nothing "wrong", rather, it needed some "finesse". Laminated signs, could so easily have been framed. Rooms could have been better lit and decorated; the odd picture wouldnt go amiss. It lacked a litte "soul". We then noticed that we were unusual by our tenure - two weeks there doesnt appear to be the norm; many couples preferring to island hop around the area. If this is your plan, then the hotel is perfect. For us, by the end of our stay, we had exhausted the (excellent) menu and as commented by others, we had to work reasonably hard at varying the breakfasts. The staff were fabulous - attentive, engaging and polite. My guidance - if you are looking for somewhere quiet, a bit secluded, with plenty of variety, then pick your timing wisely. If you want a beautiful positioned hotel for a short stay, whilst exploring the region, then perfect. A note to the management; the extra "star" is in the detail - look out for the discarded towels, litter in the flowerbeds and walk the grounds, engaging with your guests.
The staff were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious, lots of choice, great coffee all you need is ask and order. Comfortable beds. We had an apartment for 4 with a view of the pool and beach. Had our own deck. Has a gym with great equipment. I highly recommend this Hotel, lots of room choices. Staying at Mylopotas Beach is a must, rather than in the village. 1 minute walk to beautiful sandy beach and lovely restaurants and shops. You will not be disappointed.
Fantastic hotel with lovely staff especially the breakfast staff. Nothing was too much for any of the staff. Always smiling and efficient. There are a number of inclines within the hotel itself due to its setting in the mountains. however the views make up for that. Would definitely recommend and go back to stay there.
The hotel is stunning, modern and has a beautiful view over the bay of Mylopotas Beach. The reception team is extremely helpful and always accommodated our needs. For example I have asked to have more pillows and they were brought to the room immediately. They welcome you with a welcome drink and explain to you the “must see” spots of the island as well as give you restaurant tips. The hotel breakfast is really good and has a big variety of salty and sweet food. The only drawback of the hotel is the fact that outsiders can use the pool by only paying 5€ for entrance and thus the sunbeds might be occupied by them and you as a paying hotel guest may not have space to sit down. I especially want to say a big thank you to the waiter Alexander who has made our stay more pleasant!
