Lindner Grand Hotel Beau Rivage5.0 out of 5.0

Staff nice and attentive. Atmosphere very classic. Room adequate with the exception of the stained but otherwise clean carpet. The complimentary bottled water in the room does not have an adjacently-placed bottle opener. Thus I made the mistake of assuming it was a twist cap and sliced up my finger. Staff shrugged. Great placement on the river. Elegant staircase. Pool was way too cold and wet sauna was out of order. The “solarium” door led to a single lame tanning bed. Dry sauna tiny. Don’t come here for a spa experience! Bar is nice but menu in restaurant limited and $$$$. There are decent burger places and Mediterranean places across the street. After 5 weeks of travel we inquired about laundry services. 11 Swiss francs (=$11 USD during our visit) to wash a single pair of jeans. $4 for a pair of socks. If none of the above matter to you, it’s a GREAT place.
The hotel is in a very nice area of Interlaken, the breakfast was really amazing (nice details like bio tea and a juicer) and service in general was good. Nevertheless, the room looked really old, the bed not really comfortable, it didn't feel like a 5 stars hotel room.
Wife and I had lunch in the beautiful bar area. As with the entire place it was clean and well appointed. The food was some of the best we have had in Switzerland and without a doubt Austria. Good location
We loved sitting on our terrace overlooking the mountains. The hotel has a stately feel and we enjoyed sitting at a table out front for afternoon tea. The service was quite good. Harder Kulm access is right out back.
Great view of the snow capped mountain from the room. There are souvenir shop opp the hotel. The only pity is that there is no kettle in the room for making hot drinks during the cold night. Although there is road right in front of the hotel but it not noisy when night fall.
Superb hotel, very friendly and supportive staff, great views from spacious bedroom. Couldn’t be more helpful in supporting us when we thought we lost our passport. Had an excellent evening meal with top service at reasonable price ( for Switzerland).
Hotel has ideal location and efficient staff. But to be rated 5 star please pay attention to details like number of towels in room, tight room doors, illogical room partition, indifferent staff (with one exception)at breakfast and reception. The location and size of rooms is excellent.
This was a splurge for me as I was alone but it was totally worthy. It is fancy and classy, with extremely polite and helpful staff. I was upgraded and the lady walked me to my room to ensure it was fine. They left a complimentary bottle of sparkling water, some nuts and toblerone chocolate. Lovely! Offered a lot of information about Interlaken as well. I felt the staff did not feel as comfortable with their English as the staff in Zurich are but they still made their best effort to help me. The breakfast was amazing and they included a multicultural aspect as well with some Asian and Indian food to suit their guests. The heaters were on when it was cold outside which made it feel nice and toasty inside. I will definitely go back! I also visited their restaurant for dinner. I was given a wide range of butters to try and absolutely loved it. It was a bit pricey which is why not many people were there, but it was worth the price.
We stayed there 2 nights ,May 3 - 5 , and were disappointed by the dated rooms. How can this be a 5 star hotel? P/Q is bad here. The rooms are far overpriced. Besides this, the general service is great as well as the restaurant that is ok. We booked this hotel because it was close to the station and that is the main plus here
This could be a really nice place to stay with a great location! The breakfast buffet was great and catered to all ethnic groups! The reason this hotel gets 3 out of 5 is because as north americans we felt we were treated as second class here! First off there are no broucers in english(at least when we asked) second our treatment from the man at the front desk was horrible! We got ignored for the first 20mins as other were being checked in before us! This hotel caters heavily to the asian/middle eastern cliental!
