Can not fault it 1 bit. The room is huge, amazing view of the sea and sun rise, the beach is right outside, the pool, bar and restaurant facilities are perfect, great location both near to the airport and Ibiza town. The staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast is so big! There’s a massive range of food to choose from and fresh made to order omelettes if you are prepared to wait for it. The room is very quiet as long as the balcony door is shut. We slept really well with the air con on. I usually get bitten a lot on trips abroad but not 1 bite in this hotel! There’s not a lot on in October in Ibiza which is a shame because it’s still very warm but most clubs and water sports are all closed so it was nice that the hotel put on some live music for the guests. Great stay all round.
Just back from a long weekend and a 3 night stay at Hotel Garbi Ibiza, and we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. My other half stayed here last year on a friends hen party, and recommended the hotel, so I booked up for us to visit this year, with our son. Check-in starts at 3pm, however our flight arrived at lunchtime, but we were able to store our cases in a luggage room until our room was ready. This was at 2pm, and reception called us to let us know, as we checked out the resort. The hotel staff are great, and very friendly. The hotel is very modern, and very impressive. Hotels often look good in the photos, but then a bit tired when you get up close.... not Hotel Garbi - the finishes and attention to detail are stunning. Wi-Fi was included around the hotel, and unlike other hotels, it was a very good connection. The front of hotel is on a main road, however the hotel sits on the beachfront, and as you go through the beach terrace bar, you are onto the beach, and treated to stunning seaviews. Ibiza town can also been seen up the coast. We stayed in a standard room on the ground floor, which was on the side of a wing, but still had a sea view... a very welcome bonus. The room itself was fantastic, with twin beds for us and a sofa bed for our son. The bathroom had a decent sized shower, and as with everything else, was well finished. The room had air-conditioning, and included a mini fridge, TV with english channels, and plenty of wardrobe space. The beds were also very comfortable. The room also includes a safe box in the wardrobe which costs 4 euros per day, + 20 euro returnable deposit. Beach/Pool towels are also available for use, with a 20 euro returnable deposit. We stayed with Breakfast included, and the choice and quality of the food and drinks at breakfast (Lavazza coffee) were great. You could also have Prosecco for breakfast if you wanted! We also had drinks at the beach/terrace bar through the day, and in the hotel bar of an evening - the cocktails certainly hit the spot! The prices are very reasonable too, for a 4* hotel. Contrary to the hotels appearance, I thought it would have lots of young people / couples, however there was a good age range, and also a few families. It does cater for everyone. We booked through Booking.com, and paid directly with the hotel - however we definitely plan to return next year, but will try to book direct with the hotel. As I said at the start, we would definitely recommend this hotel, and we cant wait to come back. Definitely deserving of its 4* rating.
Stayed here for a friends birthday celebrations in Ibiza. Was apprehensive about this trip as I wanted a safe clean and calm hotel. Well this hotel was amazing. Great atmosphere and clean, respectful and modern. Staff are extremely helpful, bar service and daily service by the pools. The hotel has it places to eat and overlooks the beach which you can also access. The hotel has clear standards and expectations and doesn’t tolerate certain behaviors which is great when having a holiday in the party city. The location is brilliant short walk from Ushuaia and local shops for tickets. Just a cab ride from the old town. Food, fun, fresh, friendly, fantastic, for sure coming back. This is an amazing hotel.
This place is a real oasis with top class rooms, swimming pool, food, spa and a location that is right on the beach with an amazing view... Richard & his staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and our group of friends all had an amazing time on the Island with such a luxurious base. All the Garbi Staff were friendly and helpful to give us tips of where to go, safety advice and helped us book into some fabulous venues. If you want to go to Ibiza an live in style- this is the place to come. All the other hotel guests are respectful and kept themselves to themselves.
We had a great stay at the Garbi Hotel . We had 4 night break and the hotel is superb. Great location on Playa d’en Bossa ... staff are great- rooms have really cool decor and are superb -fridge- TV- hairdryers. It’s spotlessly clean and If you make it to breakfast there’s everything You could want from fresh omelettes to pastries to cooked breakfasts. They even arranged for an ironing board /iron to be brought to the room when we arrived. Reception are always available to book taxis and they helped extended our room on departure day for an extra cost. It wasn’t at full capacity but there’s loads of sunbeds and you can hire the big double beds for €30 a day but if not the others are free. The beach bar serves great food and has a great DJ playing most days until midnight. It’s few 100 yards from Bora Bora along the beach (although this has changed immensely from back in the day so not what I remembered but you have to go and see! ) Overall a brilliant hotel and we are very picky but I really cannot fault it in anyway! We will return next year!!! Thank you to all the staff at Garbi Hotel!
Love staying at the Garbi. The pool is amazing And the spa is second to none.. i advise a sea view room as you get to watch the sun rise from the bottom of your bed on the ocean. :) also its walking distance from bora bora beach.
Stayed for 7 nights from 9th September 2017. Hotel itself was beautiful, spotlessly clean, friendly and pleasant staff. Has an amazing beach bar attached to it serving excellent food and drinks, great DJ playing chill out music. An awesome place to sit and people watch whilst staying out of the intense heat. The waiters very friendly and work very hard to make sure everything is good for you. Pool area is brilliant. So big, lovely flooring and the beds are all spaced out. Fab bali beds for 30 euros a day and they are so good for chilling, super comfy and large ! Again, great service around the pool too. Great location of hotel as bus stops outside for a 10minute ride into Ibiza Town. Not so brilliant things - although this wouldn't put us off returning here - nor would I say it should deter anyone from booking this hotel as overall this is a great hotel accommodation - just little tips for management for future planning ; Restaurant buffet - a total lack of hot, cooked vegetables of an evening although plenty of variety for salads. Food OK, could always find something to eat but it is not the best food we have had at hotels. Bathroom - very basic, no tissues, no face cloths, no stool. Towel rack was far too high to reach the towels and needed to stand on toilet seat to get them down. Only one hook for hanging wet towels or garments for putting on after a shower. Could not order a bathrobe or slippers (even to buy) as they say its too hot for these ! Although in other Ibiza hotels I have stayed in previously, I have been able to purchase a bathrobe (which was a cotton, air tex type for coolness). Balcony furniture - not very comfortable. A couple of metal chairs which were without seat cushions, they felt very hard to sit on. The table was so small and low. However, these comments are purely constructive criticism and not 'put downs' of the hotel. You wont be disappointed staying here.
Positive Points: - Hotel is in a good location if you want to visit the "club 18-30" type bars of Playa d'en Bossa but you won't find any classy bars within walking distance. - Beachfront location - Good bathroom with rain shower - Comfortable beds - Friendly housekeeping staff - Hotel kept clean and well maintained - Use of iron and ironing board - Use of luggage room and showers after checking out Negative Points: - A few staff are miserable, we didn't feel particularly welcomed to the hotel upon arrival although the manager always greeted us and smiled. A welcome drink upon arrival would have been nice gesture. - Room extremely noisy throughout the night due to groups of guests arriving back from bars talking very loudly etc. Situation not helped by large gaps under the room doors (see photo); unable to sleep even whilst wearing earplugs. I suspect this may have been due to the room's proximity to the main accommodation entrance on the ground floor. Having returned I feel like I need another holiday just to sleep. - Window blinds do not fully block out the sun causing early awakening (see photo). - No ice machine for guest use when in rooms; barman helpfully suggested I purchase some from the shop. - No tea/ coffee making facilities in room. - No concierge. - Safe not included in room rate, acceptable in a cheap hotel but not at these prices. - Bed linen not changed even once during a 7 night stay, glasses in room only washed and replaced once. - Whilst the hotel is newly refurbished and clean, it doesn't feel like a luxury hotel. The bar area lacks any atmosphere and was often empty. - Very small car park which was full every night especially when the hotel's underground club was open. Struggled to find any other car parking spaces and had to keep driving around a one-way system. Breakfast Notes: - Breakfast is OK, quite average in terms of selection although not many healthy food options. Nice to see mini packs of Kellogg's cereal and a good selection of tasty pastries. - No freshly squeezed fruit juices, just cheap juices from dispensing machines so I was forced to drink the cava instead :-) - No fish selection whatsoever. - Breakfast is 100% self service and is supposed to be served until 11am. However food begins to be removed at 10:30am, including the food identification tags, so if you stay here be sure to arrive early to avoid the last minute dash. Also just after 11am the main lights are switched off to try to get rid of remaining guests quicker. - Mostly miserable staff during breakfast service; one morning I was told off in Spanish for moving a slice of bread in order to get a fresher piece (older woman wearing glasses). The woman was extremely rude and moved the bread back whilst I was trying to take a slice. Not what I expect when paying around £200 per night. Tip: Spend a little more and stay at the Hard Rock Hotel.
Firstly, had a wonderful relaxing stay at the Hotel Garbi - a real treat! I found the guests a very curious mix of predominantly middle aged (50+) Dutch people and a few younger clubbers which gave the hotel an atmosphere that was neither one thing or another. It was rather more orderly and quiet than I was expecting, which was brilliant in terms of getting a good sleep at any time of the day (the loudest thing you’ll experience with daytime sleeping is the planes descending very low!) But, what was it being so massive too, I felt it struggled to create a "buzz" about the place. I guess the price tag discourages all but the most well off under 30’s, which is possibly a good thing in avoiding a rowdy element. Beds were extremely comfortable. Room always well cleaned. Furnishings and décor appeared new and fresh. Actual space in the room was great and not cramped at all. It was a lovely room to spend a week in. I loved the lighting in particular. The aircon was great too. Easy to get the balance on the right temperature and not Artic conditions! Hotel pool was lovely and that whole area. Provision of lilo’s was a nice touch. Breakfast was an amazing selection. Best I’ve seen since Las Vegas. Highly impressed especially the waffles and pastries. The only thing I would mark it down for was the bacon. But us British are very, very fussy about bacon and it wasn’t quite like what I’m/we’re used to. Other than that, it was superb. The staff were always friendly, right down to the housekeeping staff who always greeted me. The reception staff were knowledgeable and keen to help. Steven is such a good ambassador for the hotel!
Nice, modern, huge hotel. We booked a suite, it was large, luminous and clean, with a large beach view balcony. Lovely suite. A nice surprise, was the fact that the water in the bathroom was NOT salty unlike other hotels in Ibiza that i have stayed. Personnel is nice and helpful. The buffet breakfast is huge with a variety of choices and tasteful. The only negative is that they charge you extra to use the safe.

- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
