My wife and I travelled to the hotel on the 9th June 2017 and stayed for 10 nights. The Hotel is set up for a very relaxing Holiday with very low key and repetitive entertainment in the evening. My wife enjoys wine and found both Red and White not very good at all. We were told by the bar manager that it was Egyptian wine and it was good quality for their wines. The beer was fine as were the shorts. We found the main restaurant good but the selection of your main meal a little limited and chaotic, if you timed it wrong then some of the servers were empty which was a surprise as there were always 2 or 3 chefs watching everything. I watched one night while they made individual pizza's then people waiting 15 minutes while they cooked them! Why not make it and put it pre cut on a serving dish? The desserts were lovely and plentiful but as I said it was strange to have a limited variety of main meals compared to a vast amount of desserts. Breakfast was good. The overall service in the Hotel was excellent, from arrival to departure. I must mention the room cleaner who was fantastic with everything including the lovely towel art every day. Another mention to C/Yasir who met me every morning with a smile and laid out towels and cleaned sunglasses. He never stopped all day. Overall this was a good hotel but could do with the odd tweek here and there, must also mention that both me and the wife had dodgy stomachs throughout the holiday and in our opinion we think it more than likely caused by the lunch time pool restaurant . We stayed in room 6405 which was a nice room overlooking the 18th hole of the golf course. If we return it would be earlier in the season .
Food is of high quality View was awesome Best for relaxation and meditation Staff is decent Thanks to hotel staff chef George and Akram in pool restaurant And hotel manager Mr Ayman Was very nice stay
Stayed for 1 week staff were very good Waseem at front desk very helpful, mohamed abdel all in the lobby bar funny and welcoming, hossam in main restaurant very efficient. Pool bar/ restaurant staff soliman, shafty and a big shout out to Akram this guy was so helpful and polite top man. we found the overhaul holiday ok food was warm and limited. we both suffered with bad stomach for the main duration of the holiday and have been very ill since getting home. we found eating outside by the poolside at lunch time a bit uncomfortable, this was the only restaurant open during the daytime. could do with a inside restaurant and hand sanitiser dispensers installing. Stayed 2nd June, Traveled as a couple
This hotel is an example to others of how to get it right. The hotel is spotlessly clean with the food varied and of excellent quality. Upon arrival you will be warmly greeted as we were by Wasseem with a cold drink and a cooling towel before being shown to your room. My husband and I stayed in room 6504 over looking the golf course which was spacious with lovely views and most of all quiet. All of the staff are friendly and will go out of their way to help you with exceptional customer service. C/Yahia at the pool will help you every day with choosing a sunbed of your choice and will lay out your towels for you too, he is very pleasant and we enjoyed a chat with him each day. George the chef along with others cooked the best quality food and we did not run out of choices in the 2 weeks that we stayed. The hotel provide a very prompt bus service to the beach which we used on a number of occasions. Upon arrival down in the bay just follow the path down to the beach and look for the red and white stripe umbrella stands this is the hotels private beach. Drinks are included and the beach staff are happy to bring your drinks to your sunbeds. Food on the beach is included at the beach restaurant managed by Hanney, the food and wine here is very, very good along with the service. To conclude my thoughts If you are thinking of booking this hotel then do so in the complete confidence that you will not be disappointed and if you can....upgrade to the suite they are pure luxury! Thank you to all the management and staff we will definitely be returning as soon as we can.
This hotel is amazing! The staff is incredible giving you great service at every turn. The food is marvelous, the pool beautiful. My husband enjoyed some great gold lessons with Gameel. Wassem at the front desk was so efficient and welcoming. We will come again!
Currently here but somewhat disappointed that mid stay we are now required to sign for meals and drinks..this now reduces the ambience and style of a first class hotel that we have frequented often. Not necessary.
Fantastic staff and quiet hotel. Beach is away from the hotel but this is made up for with the extreme quiet and relaxing adults only atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away from a hectic life!
We are absolutely satisfied with our holidays at Steigenberger Makadi Hotel. Very friendly staff and delicious food. Golf Course is absolutely great. Make sure to book a WLAN package for one week upon arrival, unless you prefer a poor wlan access.
Stayed at hotel from the 8 may until 22nd.this is a adults only golf hotel ,a lot of Germans at hotel but not a problem.the Brits have only been going to this hotel for last three years.it has only about 95 rooms ,but I think because it is smaller than most hotels it is more intimate.all the staff get to know you.the good points ...a very clean hotel.most of the staff very polite and helpful.we stayed in room 6302 overlooking the golf course.our room boy elli was excellent.he went out of his way to help .the room was large and clean.with a large shower and bathroom.had a meal by the pool in the evening only allowed once per stay .which was very good.the nineteen pool area lunch time bar ,the food was very good and varied.the bogey bar in the evening was ok .entertainment was lowkey but ok.i must mention Mohamed the drinks waiter was very friendly did not have to wait for a drink.he made us laugh....the bad points...the food in the eagle restaurant repetitive and sometimes boring.although it was well cooked nothing seemed to go together.i must also mention hassan,a lovely man .nothing was to much trouble.always had a calm manner about him.the beer was ok but the red ,white wine was awful.like paint stripper.dine around option.allowed once per stay.went to the grill.shouldnt have bothered.had a limited menu not worth the effort .i think there should be more eating options on site.most other hotels we have been to have.the bath towel in room and pool towels a bit shabby.although we have had a few moans we had a good time.it would not stop us coming back in the future.just hope when we do the food and wine have improved.
We visited this hotel for the second time. From the greeting we received on arrival you would have thought we were old friends returning My thanks to all the staff for making us so welcome and for treating us so well. We felt like their extended family returning. Mohammed (GM) and his team are second to none when it comes to service. Nothing was ever too much trouble. All staff, from our room preparer and cleaner through the attentive breakfast and dinner staff in the restaurant, the Bar staff and pool side attendants ensured we never wanted for anything, from drinks, cold towels, through to the service of a light lunchtime meal everything was exceptional. Buffet for evening meals offered more than enough choices. If you want to have a few relaxing days enjoying first class service then I can recommend this hotel, I doubt you would be disappointed. Having spent more than 4500 nights in hotels during my life, I like to think I know just a little about what represents good service and value from hotels
