This hotel was very fun and it is located right across the street from the beach and the Huntington Pier. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the s’mores and social hour made our evening start off in a really fun way.

The Kimpton is not as advertised. It's not a "resort" and is not beachfront. It's a small boutique hotel in a strip mall type setting, no pool or spa, and you'll need to cross the four lane PCH Hwy to get to the beach. Try the Hyatt, or Hilton a few blocks away. Hyatt has an amazing pool area for kids, and separate areas for the adults restaurants, etc.

Fun Hotel Stay!

This is a fun, hip hotel. The vibe is mid-century modern. Fun music at night, some mores by the patio campfire and a complimentary wine happy hour each night! The restaurant in the hotel was very good. Each room also has a record player and the front desk has an archive of records you can borrow! Our only complaint was that parking is NOT complimentary and costs $36-$40 per night depending on whether you use valet assistance.
