There are some reviews here that make comment about the place being dated, and maybe it could be, but the service and staff more than made up for that. In any case, the rooms were spacious and comfortable and made the stay enjoyable. One staff member stood out in terms of our warm welcomes (Nhu Quynh) which we received each time we saw her. This was typical of our experience with the people here though. Great place with tons of character............
The staff speaks good and fair English but if they do not speak the language they still wants to help and tries to understand you and for you to understand them or they find someone else straight away. I would have like to speak their language. We contracted a private trip to DMZ and other areas and the tour guide was excellent for this Ask for HAI as you guide your. The service in the hotel is very good but in away one notice it, as the prices are higher than around but still good value for what you get "very nice and detailed service" The staff are beautifully and traditionally dress, always polite. Comfortable beds and not noise. The Swimming pool was a nice size got a city hotel. Good location. Good shower , room with bath and shower, but on the smallish size for today standards, but I think that we had a standard room and that maybe the reason for it. The views from the room and the bar 16th floor. The waitresses and the chefs were able to accommodate for good. There were a good range of toiletries. Good value for money on the room rate. The restaurant and other services (e.g. excursions, taxis to airport) were a bit more expensive than other places but you can choose what to take or not. We decided to use their services and we were happy with it.. The excursion are with a private guide and car (mini bus). We really enjoy our stay and slept very well.
Warm and welcoming staff. Very clean and spacious rooms. Tasty breakfast. Unfortunately we only had the possibility to stay for one night, but we would certainly like to come again. I can warmly recommend this hotel.
Spent 2 nights here as part of our tour. Hotel nice enough with no issues during our stay. Was close to all the things we needed. Obviously a bit dated but everything worked well and staff very friendly. This included Nhu Quynh who always greeted us with a big smile and asked how our day was.
Imperial Hotel offers a window into Hue’s vibrant cultures with an extraordinary view at the prime location. Its attention to details, the hand wood carvings and purposed built that has come to define Imperial. It is unique, authentic experiences not to be missed. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely be back.
You have heard the reviews here. It is a dated hotel. I admit that. The rooms are dated. The wood flooring is nice but creaky. What makes up for it is the amazing views one can get from the rooftop lounge/bar. That plus the really inexpensive Huda beers that is so common here.
The hotel is a bit like Hue itself, really not worth a visit. A bit charmless, and felt like a 1970s Eastbourne hotel! Nothing particularly bad- rooms were clean and spacious, good views from the high floors. Bathrooms fine. But all felt a bit dated and flat and the least good hotel of our SE Asia trip. To be fair- I don't think there is much great in the way of hotels in Hue, and if you're tight for time Hue can definitely be missed off any itinerary
European rated 3-4 star. 1. Breakfast buffet- 1 star, turned up 20 mins before the end and many things had run out. 2. Outdated rooms. 5 star in 90's but severely ageing. Old style box TVs, and old dated decor. 3. Arrived at hotel roof top bar , and waiter served me round of drinks 10 mins before closing. 5 mins later told me bar was closed and stood over my table until we finished. Extremely un professional. I could understand if the circumstances were different. 4. On day of check out we went to hand luggage at 10:00 to motorcycle rental company who were taking it to Hoi an, as we rented one way motorcycle hire. Whilst leaving I told reception we would be back to use room prior to check out, but they started questioning where we were going , so I told them the name of the rental company, and they took a note. On arrival at rental company round the corner, to my complete utter surprise they called the shop asking to speak if we were there and to speak to us , wondering when we would return. I told them we would be back for 10:30 to check out. I found this completely un-professional , and when i questioned it, they said they just wanted to check as we left stuff in the room instead of telling us the truth. What's worrying we left a do not disturb sign on the room, which shows the complete disregard to our privacy whilst using the room.
We loved this hotel. It was our second hotel on a tour with Riviera Travel. It was more of a traditional hotel and our room was beautifully furnished. We ate in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the food and excellent service.
We stayed here as part of an escorted tour with Riviera Travel. It was our honeymoon and the hotel upgraded us to a suite. Very nice hotel, friendly staff and excellent roof-top bar on the 16th floor, with superb views over the Perfume River. A central location in the city with everything within walking distance. One ting was a little odd for a 5 star hotel - we asked for an iron and ironing board, and were told that they don't have them. Perhaps wanting you to use the laundry service instead. Highly recommended
