Ok. First things first. This hotel us certainly not what most people would call a beach resort. Water front, yes. Beach, No. You have to climb down the sea wall to reach the water and, at low tide you climb even further and walk a fair distance to even REACH the sea. What makes this hotel good are the lovely pools and tropical gardens. Our room, (apparently a "pool view junior suite" on the first floor) was excellent. Very spacious, with elegant decor and massive bath room. Deep soaking tub and both, indoor AND outdoor showers. Nice, thoughtful touches. Fruit bowl, crisp banana chips that magically appear in the afternoon and turn-down service with pillow chocolates, strategically placed slipper by the bed and the TV is turned towards the bed. Only Linus point are the very firm and high pillows. Since we are still here, we will try to get softer pillows for tonight. Service is a bit patchy. Whilst everybody is very friendly, some skills could be better. Check-in very good, and apologetic about the room not being ready. It would have been nice, but we were quite early. Excellent and subtle up-selling skills by the man who checked us in. Staff at the beach bar took our order, disappeared for 20 minutes, delivers drinks (without any nuts, chips or other bar snacks). Then the guy disappeared again, never to return. No chance to order another round. And this must be the only hotel in Thailand without a happy hour! We asked. We don't have that. Excellent breakfast buffet with Asian and continental selection of very good quality. However, we finished our second helping from the buffet and were still waiting for tea and coffee we ordered when we sat down. Overall, if you do not want to swim in the sea and don't mind "relaxed" service, the peaceful atmosphere, great pools and superb rooms should please. Update: Movenpick management reacts quickly to reviews! Softer pillows were provided for the second night. Breakfast, lunch and bar service on following days were super-efficient. We did not even have to ask! We also experienced their daily chocolate-hour. A nice touch. A complimentary chocolate buffet with wicked (and not too sweet) cake, “chocolate fountain” and other goodies. Don’t miss that one. It is not only for the kids. I asked for a late check-out on the last day, and this was arranged without any fuss as the hotel was (luckily for us) not full that day. It is always appreciated when one doesn’t have to sit around the lobby or pool in travelling clothes to wait for a mid-afternoon departure.

Me and my family stay at Mövenpick Asara with great stay. Service are very great / food / chocolate hour / breakfast was very good. Special Thanks to Khun Natty (GSA) was very nice and well take care. we also recommended this property to our friends and will be the only destination in HuaHin for us.

Stopped here for a few days to relax on the way home to Sydney and relax we did...We did overkill it with the presidential suite as it was just the two of us but it was worth it. Most days we didn't head out until mid late afternoon after relaxing and hanging out in our own pool which is set between the 2 living areas (we only used one). We also had our own personal steam room as well. Location is excellent as it far enough off the main tourist area but quick to get there in a 5 minute cab ride. Also only a few minutes walk to a large supermarket to stock up on wine, beer and snacks.

Wonderful stay at Movenpick Asara resort and Spa. Beautiful spacious room with large tub, indoor and outdoor showers, king sized bed, outdoor sala overlooking the emerald pool with tree cover and morning bird song. The pools are great and the beach is walkable but tides do rise so follow the tide. Spa was amazing with Himalayan Salt treatment and massage. Breakfast has a great variety of breakfast and brunch fair. Well worth it fir a fantastic getaway. Enjoy!

I and my family had a wonderful time at this hotel. The beach is excellence for the fact that we can swim. There is no jellyfish and our children can find hermit crabs here. The swimming pool is large, beautiful and very pleasant for swimming. The breakfast is also great with various choices of food. The room is spacious, clean and very comfy bed. Kids club is a bit too small comparing to other 5-star hotels, more toys would be a nice touch. The lady at the kids club does not seem to love kids and try to push them away. She told us to wait for 3pm which will be the time for she to do the balloon while we are the only guest there. Not very impressive service. Another tiny thing that upset me is that at 2pm which is our check in time, I check with the front lady and she told us to wait for another 20 minutes without explanation and apology. When I asked what time is the check in, she politely snapped back as ”AFTER 2pm”. We waited by the pool with no water to drink and it was a hot afternoon so our experience is a bit down at that point. I finally call to the front at 3pm and we finally get the room. But when we get in the room, everyone felt better because the room was so great and relaxing. In summary, at the end everyone loves this place and we definitely will come back again. Nattaporn

1. Pool villa - very spacious with privacy. Get rooms closer to the ocean pool. Emerald pool rooms are too far from everything in my opinion - however, the rooms were full of mosquitoes. Not sure if the hotel can do something about it 2. Breakfast - very good selection. Poached eggs available 3. Beach - not really a direct access. You may walk down the steps to reach the beach but it’s not a very pretty one. 4. Kids club- - not great. Been to many others that have daily activities. This one is just a play room with free colouring activity and video game. Painting etc you need to top up 200baht. Would be great if there was a daily activity for the kids 5. Grab - do note that due to taxi mafias, grab is not allowed to pick you from the airport. But getting dropped off is fine (movenpick to airport only cost 90baht on grab) which we felt felt ripped off as airport taxi charges us 200baht. (Note: the hotel is literally a 2min drive from the airport) Overall- a great holiday!

We travelled as a couple and was overall very impressed with the resort. Room: We stayed at the Junior Suite on the upper level. Room was large, clean and no complains. Food: The buffet breakfast at Kampu is excellent and with great choices, western and local foods, cook to order soup noodles, eggs, waffles and pancakes. We tried lunch at Baan Dum Thai restaurant and was super impressed with the quality of the food. More expensive of course compared to what you pay for local restaurants outside of the hotel, but considering the convenience and also the quality of the food. We ordered a late supper from in-room dining and the quality of the food was very good too (freshly made and still piping hot when sent to our room. We wanted to try the Movenpick ice cream from the menu, however we found it very expensive 390 Baht for 100g (1 scoop), compared to a Mango Sticky Rice on the menu which is only 160 or 190 Baht. I think if the menu had an ice cream tasting item with 5+ flavours for example, we would be willing to pay 600 or 700 Baht for this just for the fun of it. Afterall, we are staying at the Movenpick. :P (Maybe launch an Ice-cream hour like the "Chocolate Hour" promotion?) Others: Staff service was all excellent, very responsive to our needs and we had no trouble communicating with them in english. Overall: Great experience and would come back again in September! Thank you and well done to the team at Movenpick Asara.

Excellent place for family or couples.we got villas with private pools.breakfast was great with big food variety.rooms are very clean and perfect relaxing bed.big ot better say hugh rooms which is good for big family.staff are nice.perfect spa!nice pools with private have club.have free chocolate hour.

Impeccable environment, great food paired with nice presentation and service. What impressed me the most is seeing Mr.Markus who I got to know him later as a director, would assist his team member to serve and clean the table by himself - you don’t get to see this everywhere. He checked with us couple of times if everything is okay during the meal and I can feel that he paid great attention to all the guests over there, same as the chef! Love to see how gentle the chef responsed to the service lady for some guest requests. The lady with teeth retainer who served us genuinely adding points for this great dining experience too. The harmonious between the team is priceless and being inspiring, glad to have the dinner here and hope to be back soon.
