Arrival at security and reception was friendly and good. When e eventually got to our room it was found to be poorly cleaned. Linen was clean and OK but the bathroom full of mould. No normal bathroom offerings other than liquid soap in both shower and basin and a shower cap. The soap dispenser in shower was broken and completely black with mould. The walls in bedroom full of 'strange' dirty marks. The laminate floor is lifting badly due to being over washed with water. The room is only just large enough for 2 people, but the bed not, it s short and narrow. TV was very small and no TV guide. Fridge was in a cabinet, BUT, the two doors opened in opposite directions, so easy to adapt fridge with changing one screw. On checking out we gave the person on duty a "gift" of the mouldy piece from the shower and a cockroach that was wandering around in the room. I am sure Accor would be most unhappy t visit the hotel and do a spot check. My feeling is there are not enough staff to clean all the rooms, still working at 20.00 last evening.
Perfect place to sleep, hotel is like the european stylo of Ibis, but for the price it is a perfect hotel with a small skimming pool, but for people like me who are a lot outside the hotel is perfect naar the village centre, one positieve thing of this hotel is the staff, friendly girls who are working there a long time, Every time when I Visit Huahin I stay in this hotel.
The Hotel Ibis Hua Hin is located at the central road of Hua Hin about 3,5 Km from city center, (and it is not easy to walk), but close to the beach and the Cidada Market (on weekends). There was a shuttle service to the center but that time the car was out of service for maintenance and repair purposes (according to hotel’s announcement, although it lasts too long) The hotel is near to the beach (about 0,5 Km far away) but the water of this beach was not clear and quite shallow (because of low tide ?) and therefore not ideal for swimming. Consequently it is advisable to take the Tuk-Tuk and drop off in the Market Village Mall or Municipality and go there to the beach (nice white sand beach, beach bar and restaurant, etc.). The cheap solution to move to the center -following the main street route (Bluport Mall, Village Market, City Hall)- was the GREEN coloured Tuk Tuk, which for 10 THB makes the ride to the city center (Clock Tower) and vice versa. The rooms were not big but -as at Ibis Hotels is usual- well designed to exploit any corner of the room and the balcony added more value to the room as it extends further the space. The rooms were very clean, safe, offering comfortable accommodation and nice sleep. The service of the personnel was very good, although I had the impression that they do not always understand English very well. Although I have found the Hotel Ibis Hua Hin a bit far away from the city center and a good swimming beach (with white sand) I would stay again -as it has very good service and competitive prices- if the opportunity arises.
1) Room was big enough to accommodate the 4 of us which they have a double deck bed for my boys (10 & 13 yrs old) + a queen size bed. 2) Staff was friendly especially the security personnel (Old man) I observed he took an umbrella to make sure that the guest was not caught in the rain (even though it's under the shelter) when going up or down from vehicle. 3) Breakfast was OK for us even though the choices are limited :) 4) Beach is about 500m walk from hotel, we took a pick up (opposite of the hotel) to Bluport Mall as the hotel shuttle bus was down for maintenance. Cicada market is about 15 mins from the hotel. Overall we had a good stay in the hotel, would recommend one to stay here if you are travelling with kids.
1) The hotel is located at a strategic location with cicada market and beach is just a walking distance away 2) The breakfast buffet selection is very minimal (no much option) and crowded due to limited space, need to wait to be seated 3) The hotel do not provide toiletries and the shampoo and shower gel are combined usage (2 in 1) 4) The accor member 'welcome drink' are very limited (silver holder confined to only soft drink and coffee)
Is a great hotel for families, is calm and walking distance to the beach and bluport commercial center, I liked a lot, everybody was very friendly, we spend the 2 weeks without problems, the breakfast have Thai options that make it very special.
Stayed for 3 nights in 2 rooms, 1 double for my husband and I and a twin for my mother and our 21 month old son. We requested a cot which was provided. The whole hotel was exceptionally clean and the maids did an excellent job cleaning the rooms daily. Pool towels are provided and freshened up daily if desired. Rooms are small as expected from the photos but adequate. AC worked well and is controlled in the room. My mother had a problem with her bathroom door, when we reported it to reception they told us to let them know when we were going out for the day. When we returned it was fixed. The pool is bigger than the photos suggested, a little on the cool side but refreshing after a hot day. The baby pool was the perfect depth for our toddler and a very good size. We ate lunch in the restaurant our 1st day, the curries were delicious. We ordered pizza for our son which was delicious also. Breakfast was lovely too if you choose the local options and varied daily, the western food was the same every day and poor (which wasn’t a problem for us). Location of the hotel is great, less than 5 min walk from the beach and a short walk from cicada market (fri-sun). The walk to town is around 20 mins. Make sure you give the friendly security guy a salute every time you leave the building! I would definitely recommend the ibis for a clean and comfortable stay. I would choose the ibis if we return to Hua Hin.
The family Ibis smell is there. No doubt. The room here is the same as any other place in the world. Means simple but clean and modern. Wifi is ok. Have even a small balconey and the shower size is correct. The negative point is the breakfast .... too economic !
A budget choice for travelers going to Hua Hin, and an excellent option for those who would bring their beloved pets, like us. We brought along our 3 puppies and enjoyed the swift service upon arrival. Maybe the facilities were not of the highest quality, so my whole curtain fell off when I was trying to pull the string. Luckily not injured and the staff came right away for immediate reparation. The small balcony in the room really provided extra comfortness and made our stay a little more enjoyable when we could have a few drinks out there. The hotel is conveniently located next to the beach (not the main Hua Hin beach), so it only takes around 5 minutes to stroll to the beach, it was still a beautiful coastline even though it was nothing when compared to the Phuket beaches. Only shortcoming was that the staff are not well-trained enough to ensure guests' comfortness while waiting in the queue. Smile was lacking as well. All in all, recommended for travelers with pets :)
Ibis hua hin is outside of the Hua hin center so it's a bit more quiet. Rooms are small but they all have a balcony and are clean. Breakfast buffet is really good and the pool has sunshine almost the entire day. It's a small walk up to the miniscule beach that is only there for a couple of hours during the day. The hotel offers free shuttle service to Hua Hin city center. Wifi is good here.
