The room was clean, but the appliances were outdated. There is a swimming pool, but it is only a 20’ oval. They do have a small cafe parallel to the check-in desk. The hotel manager was very nice and professional. The one perk that kicked it off was a restaurant next door, maybe 200 ft away. Big Al’s definitely throws down on their food; everything smacked. Charbroiled oysters were huge, delicious, and cheap. The mudbugs are where the money is at. What I had on my platter were mudbugs the size of baby lobsters compared to those in Shreveport.

Staff was great. The room could’ve been cleaned more. Walls were filthy, bottom of bed looked to have a white molding on bottom. Reaked of smoke. But all they had available was smoking rooms so that’s understandable but they could air them out.
