Our group travel to home love for the funeral of a college classmate. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. There was it a bereavement fee of $89 per double room or King room for our stay. The Marriott is about a block away from the funeral home. The family of the deceased also stated the hotel and had the reception after the funeral there in the large reception room. The hotel is very pretty and quiet. The rooms room spacious, neat, and extremely comfortable. The only downside was there was no complimentary breakfast but a breakfast we could purchase. The breakfast was just a common complementary type breakfast and not very special. We would definitely stay there again.

My last 2 experiences at Courtyard by Marriott have been horrendous. I am an event organizer and produced a large event this weekend at a venue next to this Hotel. Our event filled up a large portion of this hotel for several nights. In addition, we promoted this hotel (and only this hotel) on our website as the recommended hotel to stay at for our event attendees as well as our exhibitors. We had multiple VIP's whose rooms we had pre arranged to pay for. Unfortunately we had numerous issues with these VIPs' reservations when they checked in to the hotel. (due to hotel errors) In addition, the attitude of several front desk clerks was very indifferent towards me and somewhat robotic and uncaring. I found out this hotel does not even have a current GM, so I asked that the sales manager call me back. I was told it would be Monday (It's Friday now) before this person could call me back. Blah blah. I doubt if they will. Hotels are open 24/7/365 yet if there is a customer service problem they disappear on weekends. Hmm. Anyway, as most of us know, the #1 cause of lost customers is "an attitude of indifference on the part of employees" (the way I was treated by multiple Marriott employees). I am a Marriott Rewards member. Whatever. I am treated much better at Hilton Hotels that Marriotts. If J Willard Marriott were still around, he would be horrified at how some of his employees treat his customers. It will be interesting to see if this Marriott has the decency to call me back and try to make things right. They may lose our entire event's business. (but they don't seem to care aka "indifference")

I stayed at this hotel so I can do some Geocaching in the Houma area in December. I really enjoyed this hotel, especially the indoor swimming pool and the indoor hot tub. It was fun to go swimming indoors when it was snowing outside.

The hotel is very nice and the room was very comfortable. We got our wake up call on time. The staff was very friendly. We loved the pool area. The only negative would be the food. It really had no taste!

The hotel is quiet and the personnel friendly. Rooms are clean and well kept. Price is reasonable. I stay here every other month and they are consistent. Would be nice if there was a good restaurant nearby as the one in the hotel is pricey and not a meat and potatoes place.

The rooms are clean and have plenty of space. The bed was a standard spring style and plenty of pillows were provided. Our room was a single king bed; small balcony (unexpected and pleasant); sitting area with couch, chair, and TV seperate from the one by the bed; large desk; mini fridge; microwave; single cup coffee maker. The bathroom had plenty of space, but needed more places to hang towels. The entire facility was clean. It has indoor and outdoor pools, neither of which we used. The gym type facility was decent sized, but some of the equipment is in need of repair. The gym had free weights with 1 bench, 2 ellipticals, 2 treadmills (1 out of service), and a bike (turned on but couldn't adjust levels). The food at the breakfast buffet was not very good and costs extra (not worth costs in my opinion). They do have a bistro available which for breakfast was much better than the buffet. Also, a Starbucks is onsite. Overall we would stay here again!

Almost brand new, clean and on a quiet street across from the Library. Outside pool was very nice. One of the better Marriotts I have stayed at. Area for drinks in the evening. Breakfast with a charge in the morning. Enjoy!

I was told by taxi driver this the best hotel in Houma, I've no reason to dispute that. Room was comfortable and clean. Great service from all staff. Gym, pool and internet all good. Lost a star for the very noisy a/c in the room, all or nothing!

Excellent stay for business and visiting some family in the area. While the pool area was closed due to Tropical Storm Cindy, the remainder of the property was great. Fantastic location close to downtown, TGH and quick hop across the bridge or tunnel to get across the intercoastal. Rooms was generous in size, balcony a plus. Great little touches here and there in the decor. WIFI was a problem. Slow slow slow. Not good for doing business. Resorted to using my hotspot for most of the visit. This certainly needs to be corrected. Regardless, the two Brittany(s) did a great job checking me in and making sure I was well taken care of. Would stay exclusively at this hotel for my next stay regardless of the IT problems.

The rooms are slightly above average. The AC sounds like the bearings are going out. The Front Desk hostess was very pleasant and helpful to find a place for dinner. Rooms have fewer problems than the Golden Nugget.
