The PERFECT getaway!
Directly on the shores of beautiful Houghton Lake, Whitetail Family Resort is the PERFECT getaway destination! The cabin we stayed in is so cozy. But, who is going to be inside when you have the lake just steps away? It's the perfect setting for a summer stay, and I can only imagine how perfect it would be to take the snowmobiles up there and stay and do some ice fishing this winter. Seamless reservation process. Everything was a breeze. Thank you! We'll be back!
It was a nice little place. Wifi only worked within 2 feet of wifi booster. The guidelines listed in cabin were different than listed on vrbo. Not a nice idea to have to park across a road as well as taking trash across road too. Whats the cleaning fee for? It did its purpose. Just wont visit again.
Summer one night stay at this little gem of a resort
Stayed for one night with 6 family members and the dog. Lodged in one of the newer cabins and it worked perfect for us. Check was available right on time and parking was close enough to make the move in convenient. Very clean and ready to go when we showed up. The amenities are great for both the cabin and the property as a whole. Family took out the kayaks on the lake to explore with were all in great condition. Charcoal grill and table right outside cabin door was perfect for out cookout dinner. Lake access is very convenient and nice little fire bowl and wood ready to go for an evening of smores. Location is wonderful with a convivence store that is walkable if you forgot anything and just a short drive to town to explore more around Houghton Lake area. The property manager was on site for our stay and went out of his way to make sure we were having a nice time and was very personable and welcoming. Most if not all the cabins were full that night and everyone was very pleasant and polite to each other. Brought back some nostalgia and family camp vibes for us. Definitely would come back and enjoy this property again!
