Never again. Said were remodeling but roaches the size of small mouse is insane! Affordable, friendly but rooms really took it down. Good location though seemed sketchy at 1st, Quiet location also. Won't make same mistake again but was good in a pinch.
I have stayed at other Economy Inn around the US. So when I saw one in Hot Springs, AR - I thought why not - Well what a mistake - I get there and the reservation clerk hardly spoke English - I checked in and she did not even know what rooms to give me. Finally we got to the rooms and they were dated, no pictures on the walls, no hangers, the dresser was broken and the cover on the bed stunk. But we were really tired and stayed there. We went out on Saturday night and when we came back later in the evening - we found out that they had changed the locks and we had to swap out our keys for key cards. On my way home on Sunday, my hands did not feel right. Monday Morning went to the hospital with welts on my hands. The doctor advised me that they were caused by bed bugs
I booked a non-smoking room and got a smoking room, they change it but I had to give them to much explanation about something that they should be aware (smoke odor). Breakfast was included but, at 8:30 AM was all clean (no breakfast at all). Never will stay in this hotel again!
We were on a 1400 mile scenic road cruze thru Arkansas & S.Mo that included Hot Springs without reservations. Upon arrival we learned the Ark Derby was happening that weekend and most places were booked solid. We felt fortunate to find a room for the evening, unfortunately the facility is not well maintained, but filled our basic needs for the night and the price was right... Cya down the road.......... ... .. .O o- Carl (BC Mayor..=)~
First off, I totally understand that you get what you pay for when it comes to a hotel. However, this was the worst place i've ever stayed in. There was no carpet, no telephone, no iron. There was a smashed dead cockroach on the lamp next to my bed. Since we arrived before one of our friends we had her bring all her sheets, pillows, and comforters. There were dark liquid stains on the box springs of the beds. The smell was horrible. During the day while we were there we just left the door open b/c the smell was so bad. There were only two outlets in the entire room. One outlet had the mini fridge and microwave plugged in and they other had the tv plugged in. There was one in the bathroom halfway up the wall and above the toilet. The walls are also paper thin. We didn't have a smoking room, but i'm pretty sure we were next to one. You could smell cigarette smoke seeping through the walls every now and then. I urge you to spend an extra $20 a night and go somewhere else.
One of the worst hotels I've ever been in. They have roaches, lamps don't work, TV have this static hum to it. Bathroom sucks looks like a gas station bathroom. No carpet, hardwood floors and bed was hard n uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone!
I tried to make the best of this stay. The bed was very hard and I had a hard time trying to get a good nights sleep. There was no telephone nor iron available to use. Went to continental breakfast the next morning at 7:48am (which stated was scheduled from (6am-9am) and I woke up the owner. I could tell you she was not too happy about me waking her up. I no longer bothered to attend after that. The staff tried their best to be friendly, but I could still feel the tension and I didn't feel welcomed. The microwave and refrigerator was clean. My feet attracted all the dirt from the hardwood floor. Definitely not meant for family, but if you just need somewhere to lay your head for the night. Enjoy
We paid for our rooms & 20 minutes later was asking for a refund. The rooms smell like paint or some kind of lacquer. No carpet. No phone. As we were walking into the room a woman from another room told us to be sure to check our beds. Well that was the first thing we did and that decided it for us. There were 2 long hairs, dirt & a long dirty mark on the sheets. I didn't look around any further. I was done. I have NEVER asked for a refund but this time I did. It was not easy, the owner told me that he does not give any refunds after 10 minutes (What?... Never did understand the time limit). After a heated argument he did finally refund the room. Not a good experience at all. Went down the road to Travel Lodge & got a good nights sleep. We paid $55 for the room. Spent $95 at the Travel Lodge. I guess you get what you pay for. Sad.
you do not want to say is this place when we walked in your room it stunk, the floor was nasty there were cockroaches on the walls and all in the bathroom! couldn't get any sleep from all the people running in and out upstairs! Will never make the mistake again!
If I could give zero stars I would. The moment we checked into the first room, two cockroaches ran over top of the bed. The room was in appalling condition in general. Cavernous, carpet stripped away, terrible smell, the usual flea bag amenities. We changed to another room, which appeared to be in mildly better condition. Long story short, we got BED BUGS from this hotel, the toilet leaked onto the bathroom floor, and we had to listen to people having sex in the room above us at 1 am. I've stayed in plenty of cheap hotels in my life, but this was definitely one of the worst.
