Waikiki View Condo

We came to Oahu to visit Pearl Harbor. We wanted something with a view and this condo did not disappoint. The listing and pictures represent the condo very well. The lanai is a little small for dining but works for coffee &. Happy Hour cocktails. It was also a front row seat for the Friday night Fireworks! The fireworks are a huge reason to stay here. The view is fabulous and the cost for this condo is very reasonable compared to hotel costs in the Waikiki area. Parking is easy and readily available in the parking garage. We purchased a three day pass that got us in and out of the garage easily over the course of our day. James, the property manager, was great and answered all of our questions promptly.

Nice to come back!

Our second stay in unit 1180. Once again, the folks at Captain Cooke did a fantastic job. The unit is squeaky clean, well set up and stocked with utensils, linens, “stuff you need”. The kitchen is more than adequate for vacation cookery (very little on my part, LOL). The views are excellent, and although Waikiki can be noisy, when you shut the door (only at night for us), it’s whisper quiet. The TV …if you need some word of the outside world…has about a zillion HD channels to a very nice, large flat screen. And if you’re a day sleeper, as I sometimes am, the blackout shades are superb. Bottom line? Will we come back for a third visit? Absolutely. Thanks Captain Cooke.

The stay was wonderful!There are a few items to improve:1. To lock door when leaving the condo, enter code.2. Parking cost has increased from 28 to 33 per day.3. Handicap parking is located on the 7th floor.

Wonderful stay with jaw-dropping ocean views

The apartment is conveniently located close to the ABC store, restaurants, Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon, and the Ala Moana Park. The apartment was clean and quiet, and had a paid parking garage.

Amazing view, fantastic location

Very clean, great communication with host. They even have two pairs of flippers, a cooler and two body boards. You’ll book this place for the view but you’ll love the walking proximity to the beach, shopping, food and entertainment. Perfect view of the Friday night fireworks. PARKING: Is super easy with the building being attached to the parking garage. Just ensure you understand the process for getting a multiple day pass. Upon getting there get a normal parking ticket, go park. Then go buy your multiple day pass. Upon driving out scan your initial ticket then immediately scan your multiple day pass. Once you do that, you can toss your initial ticket and just use your multiple day pass. Unlike many place where a host wants your to more/less detail clean everything, the checkout procedure is simple - “wash dishes, take out trash, lock door.”

May 12th stay at Waikki Condo

We both really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful condo. We loved the stunning view of the marina and the beach. The beach chairs were used every day. Location was great, walking distance to the beach and restaurants. We had a hard time to find the sink plug, messaged someone but did not get a reply. We took a chance with something i found in the drawer and it worked. Not really much to complain about with this one:)

Moving On!

Well, we did not get to stay here because when we arrived after a 10-11 hour flight, the room was a sauna and couldn't seem to cool. We had text our property mgr, and they just sent us a code. After several communications with both the property mgr. and captain cooks, finally a stand -in for the mgr. came to the room. After many phone contacts, he told us he could move us to the Ilikai Hotel. The location worked out better for us, but we did get a smaller, older, condo needing many updates, especially the bathroom and kitchen. The beach chairs were in pretty bad shape, really embarrassing. We had rented a condo with a separate bed/bath and nice kitchen. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure. They did give us a partial refund, but the view was not as good. We don't plan on ever using Captain Cook's Mgt again!

Freshening up.

Overall it was a nice unit. The tub could be removed or refinished and the doors could be replaced or touched up with some paint. I would say the bathroom needs to be totally redone. The furniture needed to be cleaned or replaced. There were 2 chairs in the table area that legs were broken.

Amazing location and views! Comfy as can be!

Overall we are quite impressed with this rental location and would love to stay here again soon! The rental is located in the Ilikai Marina Condos, an older facility located right across the street from Waikiki Harbor (the listing does not state this anywhere so it took us some time to find the unit). Unfortunately, due to the age of the building and circumstances out of the control of the rental owner's hands there were some things that need updating (elevator is not vented or air conditioned). However, we can tell that the unit has been recently renovated and can't wait to see the place once the final touches have been completed. The bed was seriously the comfiest we have ever experienced in a rental. My fiancé and I had a wonderful honeymoon staying with Captain Cook Rentals and can't wait to get back out to the islands again.

Great View & Comfy Bed

Great condo. Beautiful views & lovely sunset. Clean & enjoyed the big fridge & microwave. Comfy bed. Right off the elevator. The airport shuttle dropped me off at "Ilikai Hotel & Suites" two buildings down tho so it was very confusing finding the condo at 1st. Make sure your transportation specifies Ilikai Marina Condos. Plenty of towels & beach chairs & a cooler. Rented an umbrella on the beach. The "jetted tub" looked cracked & kinda old. But did the job for washing off sand. Utilized the walkway bridge to the connected hotel a lot to get to lagoon & Beach access. Free netflix & comfy blankets. Free Friday Fireworks. Would definitely recommend!

Check in was easy, management was very helpful, well stocked condo and clean. The views are wonderful and very convenient location. Restaurants, Ala Moana Place mall, trolley/bus stops, grocery store and beach all within walking distance. It was great to have beach chairs and towels to use during our stay. We had a great vacation.

Want to live here!!!

The view!! - never grew tired of it over one week. Loved that we were off of the busy beach. The marina is a little quieter. The condo is absolutely gorgeous and has everything and more needed for very comfortable living. The special touches made it feel like home: the carefully chosen dishes, awesome beach chairs, Netflix included etc. etc . This place has it all!!!
