The pool was closed my entire stay, one of the elevators was not working, on one of the days during my stay, the water was shut off from 9am to 3 pm, no house keeping on 2 of the 3 days, I only found one staff member that was friendly.

This is our 2nd stay at the Pacific Monarch. We upgraded this time from a studio with 2 twin beds to a suite with 2 twin beds in a bedroom. Loved the room. It was a corner room. The staff was great and those working at the front desk were animated and personable. We could have used salt, pepper and papertowels in our little kitchen. An ice machine every 5 floors would make the trip for ice a little easier than having to go to the roof each time. Also, this trip I was having a knee issue and could not climb the 2 flights of stairs up to the pool. That was sad. I enjoyed the pool and hot tub my last trip. The beach was very close as was Maui brewery and the market. Lots of yummy restaurants were close by too. We will come back and stay onour next trip to Oahu.

One of the front desk staff is very nice. The location of the hotel is excellent.The rooms on the elevator side can get hot easily when the sun rise. The room is hot (more than warm) during day even when the air conditioning is at the highest. Dont plan to stay in your room during day time.

This is not my first time staying at Pacific Monarch, but it has been some time since my last stay at this "hotel". The staff are very friendly and helpful, comfortable bed, a sliding window that spans almost the entire room brings in that warm ocean breeze, and I really like having a kitchenette that even comes with a toaster and a rice cooker! The only two minor complaints were cleanliness in the hallways and elevators, and with a full house, two elevators were working over time to accommodate all of the guests coming and going. Sometimes the wait for the elevator was close to 5 minutes and at times you had to wait for another because you couldn't squeeze in. Otherwise, I really love the location, it's close to all the hot eating spots, walkable to everywhere, and the beach is right down the street. However, I chose to lay at the pool which is on the roof and has a sauna and hot tub. I will definitely consider staying here again.

The rooftop is gorgeous with views, great pool, hot tub, lounge and sauna… our room was on a lower floor near a parking lot with construction noise, but that was the only downside. Staff is friendly, and there’s lots of convenient food and drinks right outside the lobby. Would stay here again.

The room was shabby, not the cleaning staff fault, the bathroom really needs a makeover if you are renting a property for this kind of a price. No basic amenities which other renters in the same complex had, like a minimum salt and pepper when there is a kitchen , a laundry hamper .. nothing. Overall I don’t think I would recommend this place to anyone. It was also smelly, the AC kicks in only at midnight.. I can go on and on
