I arrived HK very early in the morning , and need to submit a travel document application at a China Travel Agency office at the same day. So I choose to stay at this hotel as it has an office within walking distance, and can get back to hotel to rest after a long flight. The room was very small and near the elevator , and it was OK since it is a budget hotel and only a one night stay. But the noise at this hotel was unbearable. I was woke up at 5am in the morning by Chinese Tourist group , and then by the hotel housekeeping staff 's walkie talkie conversation at 6 am. The housekeeping people keep informing each other than that which room number have not checked out from their rooms. Please be reminded that the check out time is 12 pm, and the I have the right to rest and stay at my room until this time. I complained the front desk when I checked out, that if I been woke up by the Chinese Tourist is understandable, but NOT BY THE HOTEL HOUSEKEEPING STAFF!
i think it is the hotel of choice for most of the travel agencies in the Philippines since 2008 because of its location and value. place is near the park and establishments. breakfast is good also with variety of choices. the front desk officers in the morning are accommodating and helpful but at night rude and didn't know how to talk politely. hotel rooms and comfort rooms are small but comfy and all the things within reach. budget friendly hotel. i travelled September 2008 with friends and solo travel in March 2015.
We actually stayed here in 2012. Room was a bit small, but I guess most hotel rooms in Hongkong are actually at the same size. I appreciate that they were able to safely keep our luggages after check-out because we still have to do some tours. I love the details of their lobby. =)
(This is a late review since the one i first sent never got posted here) So this was during our stay in the hotel last November 2016 :) We really enjoyed our stay here last November 2016 since the place was really convenient for us; -Many convenience stores around the area (Circle K) -Near the Tsuen Wan MTR station, which was really convenient for us since we travelled a lot during our stay in Hong Kong -Near a money exchange place -THERE WAS A BAKERY BESIDE THE HOTEL and restaurants which offered really cheap food -A mall beside the hotel -A handy phone that you can bring outside to use for internet connections The Hotel also had Disneyland tickets available at the lobby, so you won't have too much trouble lining up at Disney and the hotel staff (lobby) were very accommodating though sometimes they don't understand some of our words but they still accommodated us. One thing i didn't like during our stay was that the breakfast buffet was the same everyday, and was not the HK breakfast I expected like dumpling, noodles and etc. It offered a variety of western favorites they know. So far as to what we've experienced we really liked our stay and hopefully go back and stay at the hotel again when we go back to HK this year.
Lobby decoration was about Chinese Lunar New Year at the time we checked in. A nice peach tree with some little mandarin tree. So festive. Reception - Ken helped me a lot when I asked question about booking the rooms. He brought me to some rooms and show me the different. He even told me how to get cheaper room :) Pros: - New renovate room look stylish although small - Excellent location with 5 minutes walk to MTR station - Free mobile phone. Unlimited data - Free shuttle bus to Mong Kok & Tsim Sha Tsui - Clean room - great garden view if the room at high level face to Market Street Cons: - Need to wait very long time to take the lift - Housekeeping maid too loud in early morning - Room sound proof was not enough, can hear other conservation or bath - reception ladies were cool and indifferent - Restaurant food was not attractive and the table was messy - Can smell cigarette in non smoking floor - WIFI was good but sometimes bad
Pros: - 6-8 minute walk to MTR station - close to restaurant, bakeries, markets, shopping - rooms are acceptably clean - price is very reasonable - room includes mobile phone that you can take out to use internet/browsing (you can call out, even international calls, but can not receive calls), I used it to tether. - comes with all amenities- AC/heat, TV, refrigerator, kettle/tea, shampoo/soap (no separate conditioner) Cons: - rooms are extremely small (tight for 2 people, no space for luggages, sufficient for 1). - breakfast buffet food is gross (maybe because I'm from HK and know the plenty of better food HK offers, I say skip the buffet). - front desk people are not friendly, but how often do you need to come in contact with them? - my bed with SUPER FIRM, almost as firm as sleeping on the floor. I just couldn't get the quality sleep I needed, and had back pain from it. - you can hear EVERYTHING that's happening outside your room, so if you can get one farthest away from the elevator to minimize traffic, that's important.
The hotel is close to the Tsuen Wan MTR station. Very convenient for travellers who would like to explore Hong Kong via train. The hotel is also close to a shopping district and food establishments. The room given to us was a bit small. The room though is clean and well maintained. They provide free Wifi, free Handy phone and other basic hotel amenities. The buffet breakfast is good. Though the food selections didn't change when we had our stay in their hotel. The staff is accommodating.
The room was tiny and it's hard to walk around inside the room. It was difficult to get things out of your luggage and vice versa. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom was small and mildews were seen around the edges of the shower stall. If it wasn't for the nearby bus stop going to China, we would definitely have picked another better hotel.
We booked three (3) adjoining superior rooms at this hotel. the room size is just ok because u will not stay the whole day. the staff are friendly, reliable and accommodating. they even allowed us to have an early check in for free. by the way they provide free mobile data for free (i think selected rooms only). location is close to metro and bus station.
I stayed here for one night for the next day flight transit. The location isgood, where can directly reach by airport bus within an hour. However, the room is in poor condition. I got a double room and it had a strong smell of urine. The windows are all locked so I can only open the door for air ventilation. Front desk service is not professional, they just want the job done and no smile whatever. Being a 3 stars hotel, I would expect more on the service and the hygiene.
