From the airport, take the A31 airport bus to Chung On Street, 6 stops away. Cost is HKD18.90 payable by the Octopus card. The return stop is just across the road, assessable by overhead bridge. After getting off the bus stop, the hotel is less than 100m away. Check in and check out were smooth. Staff were friendly and helpful. They help to store luggage before and after check in at no charge. The lobby is small though and can be quite crowded. The room was small. I was given a room with a king bed. But it was two single mattresses joined together with a hard middle section. The mattresses were very hard. Only 2 pillows provided. The bathroom was small with a standing shower area. Water could splash outside even if the shower curtain drawn. What is good about the hotel is the location. It is within walking distance to Tsuen Wan station, the Tsuen Wan west rail station, the Tsuen Wan Townhall and Citywalk mall, with covered walkways linking most of the way. There are also many eateries and shopping places nearby. I prefer this hotel to the alternative, the Panda Hotel, a short distance away. Overall, a functional hotel with a very convenient location.
I travelled with a small group and very specific that 1 room is family because a 1 yr old baby is with us. Guess what?? The room turned out to be small, cramped and a smoking room at that!! Called our Travel Agency to talk to the hotel for room transfer but the reply took hours that I booked in the nearby hotel (with our baby's wellness top of my mind) wasting the 2 nights paid pre booking.
First let me say that I stayed here during Chinese New Year. Everything was booked so my options were limited. I KNEW that I was staying at a budget hotel even though it cost close to 100 USD per night. The room was tiny. I can’t emphasize this enough. There is nowhere to store your clothes or other belongings. I would guess that the room is roughly 64 square ft with bathroom included. It is around 16 square feet. Very basic, rough well worn towels, no exhaust fan very small and dated shower with a slow drain. The beds are about as soft as a brick though they are slightly larger. Not much though! The 12 floor hallway always smelled of sewage. If you can’t find anything else, this is better than a park bench. If you have other options-use them!
My Short Trip only 2 nights in Hong Kong. I looking for a place that not too pricey and comfortable. A room here is pretty small and no window we got 2 single beds and 1 extra bed but clean and quiet Near hotel have 7-11 that help you a lot when you hungry just go down stairs but location a bit far from a city but if you ok with walking to subway a bit so that find staffs at hotel can speak english very well only one thing that i don't like that they have s super small lobby and not enough chairs to sit while you waiting.
This is my first time in Hongkong. The hotel appeared to be nice from the reception. but room is absolutely small, there is no window, and noises can be heard from the neighbour room. Fortunatelly I booked for only 2 days, By the way, my bed matress is hard.
Very easy to reach from HK airport, just a stone throw away from bus stand to the hotel. Hotel is strategically located with nearby MRT station, big and small F&B outlets and stall, also plenty of shops around.
The hotel was clean but the room was very small, especially the bathroom. The location was strategic and easily accessible to find food, shopping malls etc. The staffs were friendly. WiFi provided and the speed was fine.
This is our first time stay at silka chain but we had a great impression..Hotel is centrally located, very near the subway station, so going to places is very convenient. There are lots for restaurant nearby. The room is small but its ok for us. Toilet is clean but too small.
I would like to commend all the staff from the concierge, dining and reception for the unremarkable service. They are well versed in English which can easily understood by Tourist. All smiles when talking and serving their guests. Great act of kindness such looking for ways to help me carry hot noodles by providing bag. Also, they are always approachable. Thanks Silka Team! (First time to have this kind of Service in HK) They have free bus to MTR. 😊
“This is the policy...!” I got the answer from the administration over the phone before the seven weeks prior to my stay. The reason to make the phone call was to see if they could help me to sort out about the duplication of room reservation I made. The worker said that they followed the policy as I made the bookings which were non-refundable. On the day, I checked in. I paid double payment because of their non-refundable policy. It is very frustrating as I had stayed there for annual tip to Hong Kong over ten years.
