The room wasn’t ready when I arrived at the check-in time. Had to wait 30 minutes. The desk clerk was extremely slow checking me in even though I had a reservation and have been staying here for years. There was a smell in the room that I couldn’t identify. It wasn’t horrible but still it lingered and no, it wasn’t me.

Hotel in general was clean and well kept. My room (mainly the bathroom) was pretty nasty…the toilet had visible growth under the interior lip where the water flows out to rinse it. No, I didn’t look for it, it was so nasty it could be seen standing at the door to the bathroom. The bathtub and drain inside it didn’t look like they had been cleaned in several months (years?). Out key cards kept inactivating and the person at the front desk assumed it was our fault for having the cards too close to our phones…even tho the extra key that I JUST got from him wasn’t working. After about the 8th key reactivating, he said “maybe it needs new batteries”, but didn’t bother to check them while we were there (2 nights) to fix the hassle. Should have only been given one star, but the next closest hotel/motel was 9 miles away.

Cockroaches

Cockroaches…my son walked into the bathroom in our room and there was a cockroach on the light switch. I pulled back the sheets and there was another in the bed. I went to the front and the gentleman offered to switch rooms and said that room hasn’t been used for a month due to plumbing issues. He said they just reopened that room today. I guess they didn’t clean it before reopening it to guests? There was also dust on the furniture in the room and the fridge had crumbs on it. I appreciate that he offered us a new room, but cockroaches are a hard no for us!

Our stay was one night the check in clerk was very nice our room was clean I didn’t care for the bathroom shower head it was way too tall and it needed to be replaced most of the holes were plugged and you couldn’t get a very good stream to come out so it took a lot longer to wash and rinse your hair other than that it was a good stay

Best Hotel in Area

There was a bit of a glitch when checking in, but that was resolved quickly. The room was decent, the pillows were a little lumpy. The Bar was nice, and Vik was a great host. The food served at the bar was really tasty, menu is small but everything was good.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating to any of our needs. The room was clean and nice. I felt completely comfortable traveling with my two dogs. The area around the hotel has a beautiful park with a dog park in it and lots of walking paths.

Everything was nice about this property. The management was over-the-top friendly. They opened the bar for us, even though it was a night it was supposed to be closed. Room was comfortable, clean, and attractive. They moved us from 2nd floor room to first floor near the lobby. Hoisington is a pleasant town.
